3.16.26: We all know how awesome Costco is, the great finds, and the awesome prices they offer. I'm so excited that for the month of March, Premier Protein drink, is on sale for $23.99 vs the usual price of $31.99. Now to me, that's a great deal for a decent protein drink. I picked up 3 boxes of the gate lol. Chocolate is my favorite because it's close to chocolate milk and doesn't taste too off. However, strawberry gives me a weird after taste. On a completely different topic, Costco is the go-to for cheap ice. Twenty pounds for $2!? No where can beat that when gas stations charge $7-$8, if not more, for a ten pound bag. From the parking to the inside of the warehouse, I feel like this location is always so crowded. There are so many people who do not pay attention driving at the parking lot and we almost got hit a few times at this location. However, Costco staff is always on brand with how nice they are and so it's always nice having a staff that's easily approachable. Really convenient to have this Costco here at the Valley. read more

This Costco is either always screaming busy, or I have a knack of coming here at the wrong times. Parking is pretty much always full and it's pretty tight. Inside, they should have a bit more space for register lines as they all have to bend around at the first isle of products. Otherwise this is the usually Costco with all the normal products. Cashiers have also been nice work to get you through quickly. This location also has a gas station outside. read more

I had just moved to Spokane Valley coming from Portland OR. And am on my last dollar and chose to spend it on Costcos turkey sandwich and got served one of the lousiest, overcooked and under quality piece of food ever. I tried to finish it because of how broke I am but couldn't and tossed it mid way through. The experience was on par with microwaving old leftovers. I should've gotten a refund and taken a photo to show whoever is going to read this. I left in my car super disappointed and hungry still. The rest of Costco was fine. read more

HUGE HUGE negative five star rating for this one. I came to go shopping after having a hiatus from the company for financial reasons. For my elderly father to come out with a horrible injury on his hand. As someone who works in retail, when it comes to workplace injury for a CUSTOMER? They did not show any concern, nor did they bring an upper lead to check on him they gave a small bandage meant for paper cuts and small abrasions to me without even looking or addressing my injured father UNTIL I pointed it out to them. They scrambled for a gauze and tape, but handed it to me, saying they're not medical which to me says something about their care towards their injured customers. There was absolute no concern towards what happened to my elderly father. Not a safe environment at all. No medical training. read more

It seems costco has moved towards hiring younger people I encountered at the checkouts. But also, stupid and low IQ it seems, as I had the experience yesterday. I had my toddler and newborn in the cart so the 5 heavy items I shopped for were in the lower shelf of the cart. The cashier pulled up some items to scan. After paying, one of the 2 women packers at the staff checkout asks me to be careful of the items that might fall off the cart. She had shoved a frozen pack of 30 chicken wings up against my toddler sitting in the cart and piled 3 bottles of juice, shrink wrapped together, on top of it. How low is the iQ or which chromosome must be missing if a person does not have the common sense to put the items on the lower shelf of the cart??!! Especially when the cart is full ??!! I did it myself and heard some lame words out of her mouth but not an apology for almost injuring my child. I know Costco is cutting costs but surely hiring people with common sense and a 3 digit IQ and providing proper training to its staff might help to avoid lawsuits stemming from pure inept idiocy of its staff!!! read more

Check your credit cards if you have a membership with Costco. You could still be charged yearly for your membership even if you asked to have it cancelled. We went to Costco for the first time in two years and we were told our membership was still active even though we had it cancelled two years ago in 2023. We checked our credit card history and sure enough, it showed that we were charged the membership fee in 2024 and 2025. The clerk said we had consented to auto renew. But we never did, we had asked the membership to be cancelled over two years ago, the credit card was also cancelled and the numbers changed but it was still charged for the membership fees. read more

This used to be my favorite costco but now they are beyond rude and discriminatory. Even though i'm a member they always discriminate against me by giving me dirty looks, and questioning if i'm 'in the right line' cus i also deliver instacart orders. My jobs are none of their business and its messed up for them to constantly be profiling me and others just because we deliver instacart. I'm a 4.0 college student my job tells you nothing about my status as a person but they discriminate against me every chance they get because of my side job. With a large family or business this store can come in very handy. It is fun to visit (when you're in a good mood) but with a regular membership don't come earlier than 10AM or they will turn you away and put you in a line, as if they are an amusement park and you don't have a fast-pass. I don't stand in lines to get into stores that are somewhat a "glorified Walmart". I'll shop on Amazon. Miss the crowds, get better deals, buy in bulk and free delivery with Prime within a day or two in our area! You really don't save money on vacations, auto services, groceries, etc. with Costco (Research it). You end up buying so much more than expected and then justifying your new grocery list and budget. I always feel like a cow (I'm like half the size of a small cow) being herded along, apologizing to the 100 people that I accidentally bump into because of the crowding. Parking sucks and there's a 50% chance you'll hit another car, a cart, or pedestrian within the lifetime of your membership. I've had a costco membership for about 25 years. I used it in and out of the US. Why though have I been a faithful Costco member for years? Because every women I've been with loves it, wants to go shopping there, and of course the appetizers are fun. Not for Deals. You will end up overspending, or expanding your budget (Their goal!); most likely both. My recent issue is being turned away at 9:30AM on a weekday, when I am up and out the door by 6AM. (This is a Spokane laziness issue. Spokane is sleepy, and it's acceptable to wear pajamas all day long!). I just went to the Walmart next door. No membership required. And if you're worried about the "class" they have several Sheriffs assigned to that Walmart to make one feel warm and fuzzy. But easier than going to Costco. In-and-out. read more

So...still amazed by this visit to Costco. I recently was there, took my things out to my car still needed to get gas. Paused and thought i better zip back in to use the bathroom before gas. Somewhere along the way my key fob popped open the entire guts fell out. Completely annoyed I went back, tracing my steps and looked for the guts. Sadly to no avail, I did leave my name and number at customer service on the off chance someone discovered them. Shortly after arriving home (I had a manual key on my ring which I practically forgot how to use, lol) Costco called and the had had found all the parts! Still stunned and so very grateful. I know Costco gets a bit crazy however I've always had a good experience with the staff. Today in the self check out and employee named Amy must of been having a bad day. My daughter and I were checking out and we herd "move"! I really just figured it was a customer customer conversation then swiftly I hear don't pick up the dog food, don't pick up the dog food! When I turned around, I was surprised, this employee was talking to me that way (I was not picking up the dog food in my cart as I had other items still on top) I turned to continue to scan my groceries and I hear "move out of the way"! Again Amy' s having a bad day. I ask her if she thought that was appropriate to talk to a customer that way? She replied she needs to scan a bar on the cash ramp. Amy! Even on the worst days in retail I still would never talk to a customer in that manner. read more

Ok CostCo, I can see that you're trying. Since my last review they've put in all these self-ordering kiosks at the food court. It's also no longer necessary to insert your chip or slide your credit card. Simply hold it to the screen and it makes a satisfying "boop." For extra cool guy points, don't even take the card out of your wallet. So ordering is now super quick and can easily take less than 10 seconds start to finish. Traffic and congestion inside and outside is still a problem, but one that's endemic to all CostCo locations. Prices are getting higher here and you're no longer guaranteed THE best price on everything like the good old days. Gas is cheaper but only by about 5 cents, which is more the fault of Washington State than CostCo specifically. Their return policies are still great. Basically no questions asked. 90 days on electronics and no limit otherwise as far as I can tell thought I've never pushed it. read more

Have always thought Costco is great; although, it can get extremely busy with very long lines. Can find good deals on food and not so good prices. Just be aware of prices per lb or oz at other stores. The clothing prices are always wonderful! My fave is the DKNY shorts for around $12 (around $80 anywhere else). read more

Insane foot traffic 1030 am Friday. Found everything I needed. Clean, navigable, helpful staff. Didn't see a food court, maybe I missed it!

I waited over an hour for a pizza that I never received. When I ordered I was told there would be a thirty minute wait. At forty minutes I went up to the window and politely said "I am just checking to make sure I didn't miss my number being called." The employee at the window told me I needed to "back off" and didn't even look at the number on my receipt. At an hour and ten minutes I went to customer service and waited in line to ask if I could get a refund for this pizza that was never coming. She told me she couldn't do anything unless I presented my card. My wife, who had been waiting in the car for an hour with our kids, had the card so I had have her bring it back in. At the point three customer service employees rolled their eyes and smirked as it took all three of them to issue a $10 refund. The most aggravating part was they kept pulling pizzas out to refill the by the slice rack. They diverted at least eight pizzas once I started counting, when they had an hour backup. read more

I couldn't believe it. We purchased a full sheet cake for an event tomorrow. Our honoree's daughter called this morning and told us she is in the hospital with Covid. I called told the the story and asked if they had started and they checked and the cake was done, but the lady said done worry you don't have to take it. How nice is that!!!! It's the tire center that I have a problem with. I bought a set of Michelin tires 2 yrs ago. Had one of the tires blow out the whole sidewall. Brought it to Costco since it was under warranty. They quoted a price and asked "pay now or at pickup. I chose pickup. When I get there, the quote was quite a lot higher which I negated.... it was higher than buying new . They created a choke point in a wind tunnel at their entrance and make people stand in it for a long time. Clustering people in an enclosed windy area is the last thing you want to do in a pandemic, yet these mental midgets did just that. You want people to get in and out as quickly as possible and these morons made things as slow and crowded as they possibly could. That is why they get one star and why I am returning my membership and absolutely everything I have bought from them that can be returned. I do like that they have really good quality produce and prime beef which is hard to find elsewhere but that is not enough to raise their rating or to keep going back. Why did I ever get a membership? I got suckered in with the veteran program so at least I got more in free items than the stupid membership cost, but I am getting that back when I return the membership card! I am struggling with how to best review this location. It is Costco, and it has all the positives and negatives of a Costco experience. I love some perks (especially the cheaper gas), but because the tire center screwed up so royally (and refused to accept responsibility), whatever goodwill I have is greatly diminished. I will continue to shop at this Costco, but I will NEVER visit the tire center and strongly recommend all others to avoid it too. In fall 2016, I took my car to the tire center to install my snow tires. First, the experience was screwy because I was told to show up at opening and get a number to get in line for installation. What they failed to tell me is that the numbers are not given out at opening - they are given out well before opening. If someone had told me to show up at 8, I would have. But I was told to show up "at opening." So, one strike. The major problems began when I brought it back in spring to get the summer tires put back on. My car has one wheel lock lug nut on each wheel as a security feature. It came that way new, and it's never been an issue before. Everyone who has serviced my tires always replaced the wheel lock key in the spare tire well when they're finished. That is where it goes. (Duh.) Well, in the spring they did not put the wheel lock key back where it goes. I have no idea where they put it. Of course, they wrote in their notes that they put it "in the trunk." The thing is... I don't go into the spare tire well for any purpose. I don't store things there that don't need to be there. The ONLY place the wheel lock key should be - if they did what they were supposed to - is in that well. Fast forward to October of 2017, after waiting 2 1/2 weeks for my appointment, I bring the car in, wait 45 minutes, and I receive a call that they can't replace the tires because there is no wheel lock key. I have a conversation with the technicians, who neither accept responsibility ("the computer says we put it back") or act particularly friendly (making a snide comment about how I don't have a spare tire is not appropriate at this moment). In the end, I have to be refunded my money (of course they made me pay up front) and told to take the car to the dealer to have the wheel lock removed with the master key. I ended up having to pay to have the wheel locks removed and replaced with non-locking wheels because re-ordering a new key is a hassle and relatively pricey. Mistakes happen, but the way that this was handled by the Costco tire center is entirely inappropriate. Maybe I should have checked to ensure they returned the pieces of my car to the proper place, but honestly.. I should not have to do that. What if I was elderly or mobility challenged or just plain didn't know? read more

Bought a mattress from Costco.com that said it was plush. It was like sleeping on pavement, so I returned it. A courier picked it up from my home TWO WEEKS AGO and I still have NOT received my refund of $1143.00!!!! Was checking out close to close and they had one cashier with 8-9 people in line. So I go to self checkout. I have mainly big items, I think I had 23 items. As we are finishing two workers comes over and tell us we should have went to a regular line because we have too many items. Mind you there IS NO SIGN saying x amount of items or less. My husband says maybe you should put a sign up. They stand there and watch us ring everything in. Then at the very end the machine says help is on the way. ANOTHER worker comes over and says she needs to make sure everything was rang in. I literally said they just watched us ring everything in- but she insisted on profiling us thinking we were stealing. My membership is about to expire in 2 weeks. Honestly after this experience I will probably cancel it. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have two daughters. Paid with my debit card so no idea why they decided to think we were stealing because we used self checkout when they had one person for 9 people trying to be checked out. I always have a great experience at Costco and this is coming from someone who despite a grocery shopping, cause for some reason whenever at some grocery you'll see a "Sharon" who sees a "Karen" for whatever reason they have to stop and catch up right in the middle of an isle and catch up on their children and soccer and womp womp. But Costco is big enough to by pass those scenarios even with as busy as they always are no matter what day hour of the week it is. I mean Costco is a one stop shop! I gotta add whoever their buyer is for clothing is really on par, I mean they really got some great stuff lately there hasn't been a time where I've gone in to Costco without coming out with some article of clothing. Love it! And thank you for bringing back the Mandu Korean dumplings they are a favorite of mine the last 3 months they've been MIA =[. And their ramen that they carry is so good! That brand is great especially since it already has the meat included and frozen still tastes so fresh and very convenient to pack for lunch when in a rush or lazy to pack your lunch for work. Went to return my stuff to Costco. OMG they have a new guy there- supervisor. Wouldn't take my cheese back and made a big production of telling the world that the "cheese was expired"! He wouldn't even throw my item away for me. I am disabled, so, in my anger I took it and dumped it in the garbage can near his station...acting like such a 67 year old child! So, I'm guessing they are stopping taking things back unless it is an immediate return? Beware...Or is it some young guy trying to show his working companion that he is the boss? He should be fired. He doesn't know what "customer service" means... why is HE in that department?? Imagine a Costco where you can't return a defective item? I never thought I would review a Costco because the service here has always been pretty standard. Nothing exceptional and nothing horrible. However, I recently, like the last month or so been debating on ending my long love affair with iPhones and move on to the Galaxy, and while I was at it, switching carriers as well. To be honest, I never even knew Costco offered these services until we went in one day to pick up some groceries and I figured, what the hell, Costco carries everything else maybe they have phones too! Sure enough, not only do they provide phone service but also you can choose the carrier and they have many promotions going on and a very knowledgeable staff. We knew what we wanted but had a bit of a complex order, the sales associate suggested a few things to help us out, and a few questions and a week later we went back and switched over all our phones. To make a much longer story short, the sales associates working in this department, especially Evander, are great. He went above and beyond to make sure we got the phones we wanted, the plans we wanted and what best met our needs. The service we got with him in Costco, was better then any service we ever got in any "carrier" specific location and made the average Costco review, a 5 star one. If you are in the market for a phone, go visit Costco. The one negative thing about this Costco? The parking lot. People driving in and out of Costco are savages. We have 'almost' had our car hit one too many times here for people not paying attention or one car holding up a line of 10 cars waiting for that one prime spot. But that's not a Costco problem, that's a people problem. read more

In and out of here in under 20 minutes, even stopping to admire the iPad Mini. If you know what you need or want and can pick the right line for paying, it doesn't take long to spend money here. The trick with a Costco is if you see an item and you need or want it (and you've done your research on price, of course) just buy it because the item may or may not be there the next time you're in the store. And, as always, fill up your tank. I don't think gas gets cheaper than Costco even if you have to wait in line for it. read more

Yes, you may spend a little more on a larger package or you may buy four of something instead of just one, but you know that you will always get a good deal. Spokane has two Costcos to choose from and they are about the same. Parking is always a challenge at either store but they both sell gas. The check out area is almost the same and the clerks are helpful at both stores. Pick the closest one to you and enjoy all that Costco has to offer. read more
