This is the CUTEST second hand store in downtown Spokane. It FEELS like a nice boutique unlike many other second hand stores - the store is organized, clean, well presented, and all the clothing is tagged with hand written tags. The clothing quality is great and the prices feel like you are also getting a steal. Love to support small second hand businesses :) They have a loyalty program too. Final sale for everything. read more

Great finds, great prices, great atmosphere! Love how open the store is, it feels very welcoming :)

Beautifully laid out, fun and funky. Sale rack as you walk in, always draws in a crowd. The set up is awesome. Grace is a very helpful shop owner, who gives customers just enough attention. She makes a lot of the jewelry in the shop and it's so unique and cool, that alone is worth the stop. She will consider your items for consignment, and I recommend bringing your stuff in while she's there. There are a lot of nice stuff, nothing too high end, but awesome selection of vintage and boho chic. There is men's items too. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially if you're not one to dig for treasures at your local thrift shop. The work is done here and you'll pay for the upgraded service. Will come in when I'm in Spokane again, especially after a nice coffee next door! read more

I have both consigned and shopped here. My shopping experience has been great. The staff were helpful and took my items to a dressing room. I found some cute tops. I won't consign here again for a couple reasons and I agree with the other reviews. I felt uncomfortable with the person behind the counter almost like she was on a power trip. She did take a few items but there was definitely a feeling of anxiety that I got from interacting with her. I tried to consign again against my better judgment a few months later. I didn't have a good feeling after I drove across town with a few gorgeous blouses and was turned away because I didn't have an appointment. I won't consign here again. read more

What a find. More of a high end thrift store. Great customer service and special merchandise that you won't see in other shops line this. I will be a repeat customer. read more

Such a wonderfully arranged boutique for lightly used clothing. I would have never known by the window displays this was a resale store for used clothing. There is a wide assortment of sizes and styles. The sales team is very attentive and helpful. Everything is very nice. From jewelry to formal wear- they have everything in between. Shoes, bags, belts, hats! This is one of my favorite stops when I visit Spokane. I recently purchased a brand new tags still attached dress that was originally $350 for $51! Plus black shoes to go with it! read more

Very affordable vintage & modern finds! The space is luxuriously huge, well curated, and they play some magical indie music while you shop. Browsing at Fringe & Fray was an utterly therapeutic experience. I didn't get lucky on this visit, but was very impressed with the variety of old & new wearable styles, and the bargain prices. So many pieces in the $10-20 range. Jeans, shoes, sweaters, cocktail dress, etc. Aside from handpicked vintage items, they sell some new jewelry and home wares too. If you're a thrify gal (or guy -- they have a small section for you too), Fringe and Fray will be a very worthy stop. read more

We stopped in on a recommendation towards our goal of the perfect pair of vintage cowboy boots and boy, is this place GREAT! The selection was well crafted, nothing there I couldn't imagine either myself or someone I know wearing, the prices are fantastic and there was tons of cute handcrafted jewlery compliments of the owner. Just a turn off the freeway, this is a little gem of a place worthy of a stop for sure. read more

F&F is such a cute store. I developed a cordial friendship with the owner for the last 3 years I used to go there. I love the pricing and the pieces are well kept and specially curated. I am proud to say I got my first CHANEL silk skirt there!!!! I LOVE IT!!! The store is clean, well-lit, with tasteful choices that don't make you roll your eyes all the time. There is a wide selection of items and the men's little section is adorable as well as the jewelry which is hand made. I have sold a few items there for store credit which I prefer. The ONLY thing that I dislike is the parking situation - make sure you look both ways several times behind you when backing out of the parking lot and go slow!!! read more

For such personally pleasing offerings the prices can not be beat. But has the feel of a very upscale store. Open, spacious, all glass front supplies natural lighting, dressing rooms and super friendly service. Interior decor, jewelry, funky fun fashion, new fresh scented candles. And they now have some items for men! What more could you ask for from a local small business. read more

Went in to sell a few pieces of clothes that were designer items. The owner made me feel like they were disgusting and made me feel like i wasn't worth her time! Don't waste your time here. read more

Great spot and very clean store. However, I was expecting to come in and see more of a variety of vintage clothes but it's more newer used clothing than anything. read more

If you need jewelry, boots, jeans, fun party dresses, or even accent furniture Fringe & Fray has you covered! Well curated consignment shop geared towards a younger set. Great presentation of the clothes. I always look forward to their creative window displays. Unique and affordable. read more

Everything I have ever purchased here is of the highest quality. The clothing is in pristine condition and the prices are incredible. I couldn't get over the fact that I bought a brand new J. Crew wool sweater for $7. The store is small so the selection is limited but this is part of what makes each piece thoughtfully chosen. Stop in here for unique gently-used shoes and clothes. You won't regret it. read more

I'm so happy I found this little gem amidst the crazy rubble of the construction on 1st Ave. I went there to try and sell a few items. I didn't have anything they wanted, but I found some great items to add to my bursting closet. What I love about this place is that they sell a mix of vintage and contemporary styles, which I appreciate because I like cultivating a wardrobe of unique pieces. They are also very reasonably priced, with lots of options below $20, though they do have some nicer items as well. There are jewelry, shoes, and other accessories in addition to the clothing. And they have a rewards program to earn discounts. Love that. The woman who assisted me was nice, and I felt comfortable asking her questions. I am definitely adding this to my regular shopping stop. read more

I brought in 2 bags of clothing/shoes and 10 items on hangers. All of the clothing items were new with tags! I received $26 for 8 items. You decide if it's worth your time. read more

The selection and store was on the smaller size. It seemed more bougie than what I'm used to for consignment/thrift stores. I don't like messy, cluttered stores but I do like selection and personable staff. The staff were talking to each other a lot, though they did greet us. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Pretty good selection. I picked up a couple of Levi's and Wrangler shirts. Store isn't huge but the layout is good. Had mostly clothing but also had a few house ware items. read more

Beautiful inside, nicest workers you can find especially Grace! Also has great, quality clothing. I found my favorite pair of vintage Levis 501's at Fringe & Fray for a great price! Would highly recommend. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to actually walk into this great priced clothing store. Cool vintage and 20 something styles. I found a great silk scarf for $4 and a long knit skirt for these cold weather days! They also buy gently used clothing giving you in-store credit. read more

This upscale thrift boutique was a surprise! Stylishly laid out, with high quality merchandise attractively displayed, at great prices! I bought a large, beautiful, silk scarf for only $4. read more

Was visiting my family and had first went next door to Rocket Bakery for espresso when Auntie suggested we go to the "antique shop" next door. When I walked in, I thought she had made a mistake or that a new owner had taken over as I'd walked into not an antique store, but a stylish, kinda retro boutique. Book lamps (made by the owner's husband) and various cute jewelry were among the numerous things to choose from. There are a lot of women's clothes and, like a true boutique, in rather small sizes. There are a few things that the guys can choose from, too. Plus, there are odd pieces of furniture here and there, all refurbished by the owner's husband. There are also an assortment of candles from Sandpoint; Auntie had remarked how much she liked the smell of fresh cut grass, so she got a candle by that name - which did smell quite refreshing [and, interestingly enough, did not make me (a person allergic to grass, fresh cut or otherwise) sneeze or have an allergic reaction of any kind]. For the used items, the owner has taken great pains to pick only quality items and make sure they look new. While I suspected they were not, they really did look like some local retro designer had just made them. There actually did appear to be local designer items but, like I mentioned before, the lack of items in my size ensured I did not look too closely (especially at some items, which looked like they'd be great for a younger crowd). Coming from the Seattle area, I was flabbergasted at the low prices. Some were actually comparable to some thrift shop prices, especially the items on clearance. The book lamps and candles are not bargains, but they're fun and unique. On the outskirts of downtown, I heartily encourage anyone, especially those visiting from Seattle (and really nice if you brought your truck or SUV and need a dresser or other piece of furniture!) to fall head over heels for this stylish retro boutique. (Why Seattle? 'Cause when I saw the price of the darling chair I bought, I asked her if someone made a mistake on the tag. Fantastic price for a fantastic chair!) read more

I have been visiting this place for awhile... Very affordable & cute clothing! A good selection (usually.....) and the customer service is awesome. :-) I love the lay-out of the store. They have lots of clothing, a moderate amount of shoes, and a small selection of jewelry, Which is actually a GOOD thing, because there is no clutter. I am OCD, so this store really pleases me, hah. So neat, tidy, and classy! Go check it out soon! read more

Cutest secondhand clothing store I've ever been in! You find the cutest clothes for a decent price. It's very neat and modern. I'm not from Spokane but I would make the drive to check out what they have! read more

I've sold clothing two or three times here and the last time I came in was right after all the construction was finished..... the owner (woman) is SUPER unfriendly and rude and makes you feel like you are inconveniencing her to look through some clothing i brought in to sell! I have had two other friends also have same experience! I left the last time with such a bad taste in my mouth that I vowed to never shop there again! It is a clothing resale boutique- should be friendly and unpretentious. read more

Perfect quant shop with super cute clothes. The prices aren't crazy like some vintage stores and are very nice and personal with you! They are right next to a cafe so it's a perfect place to get a coffee and shop around for a bit :) read more

Amazing vintage/thrift store, not only for clothing but furniture and accessories as well. Very fair prices for your trade in clothing, and an awesome atmosphere. Not only do I always manage to find something but the men's section is always well stocked! read more

Really sweet, caring, and helpful people here. Unique and beautiful locally made jewelry and reasonable prices as well. I felt so much more welcome and at home here than another boutique down the street, so much so that even though I liked something a lot more at another store, I felt like purchasing it here instead because of the friendliness of the employees. I would stop back in Spokane during our travels just to come here again. read more

I love this store. They always have new arrivals and something for everyone. They also have a great selection of local artisan work, and the music they play is amazing. read more

They always have such cute clothing and shoes! I always get there after others have captured the size 8.5 and size 9 shoes, but one day!!! I always find and buy wonderful jewelry and accessories. The staff here is friendly and helpful if you have any questions. read more

This is pretty much a one-stop shop -not just stylish clothing and shoes, but jewelry, mid-century & retro furniture and housewares, and a lovely eclectic retail space to boot! The prices are better than fair; as another reviewer noted most tops range from $8 - $15 (I just picked up a pristine Banana Republic sweater in Merino wool for $14!). I also purchased a mid-century, low-boy style dresser a few years ago for under $300 and I still love it. Trade-in values are very attractive too, whether you opt for cash or store credit. Stop in regularly as the inventory turns over frequently and the staff are very friendly and helpful. read more

I really loved the look and layout of this store! They had decent prices and had a beautiful jewelry selection. My only issue with the store was that the selection seemed rather barren. I can appreciate not having crowded racks, but at the same time that's the fun and thrill of thrift shopping. It's all about the hunt! I still however found an extremely cute spring floral sheer top :) read more

I'm on cloud nine after visiting Fringe and Fray! So excited to have found such a lovely store that is not only locally owned but so stylish and reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back! read more

Almost every time I shop here, I buy something! The store is pleasant and uncluttered. The same handful of calm, friendly employees are always working there. Clothing prices are reasonable, ranging from $8 to $15 for tops, $10-$25 for dresses. There's nothing in here that's worn out or damaged and there's a nice variety of sizes. Each item has a simple tag with price, brand/vintage, and the month it arrived in the store. I live in Portland, but I always make time for at least one visit to F&F when I visit Spokane. Spokane is my preferred spot for resale shopping - bigger cities sell over-priced and lower quality items. Fringe and Fray stands out amidst a great collection of local resale spots. read more

Amazing deals and great finds. Love this place and will definitely be back when visiting Spokane.

Love this store! My husband and I have been shopping here since they opened and have never been disappointed. I have purchased everything from my adorable kitchen table, unique ceramic vases, original art work from one of the talented owners, to my favorite part of heels. On a daily bases I wear at least one Fringe and Fray find, as it happens I am wear two pieces right now! This is the first place I go when I am looking for a new outfit. My husband has several of their button down shirt as well as almost every color of their basic tee. The staff is always super helpful and nice and their pricing are beyond affordable. read more

Fantastic little store near Rocket Bakery. We've been there twice now and can't get enough. There is a small section for guys but the girls section is plentiful and seems to always be changing. Met the owner (husband) and he was a great guy. My wife bought a dress, couple skirts and some jewelry...all in great shape, all at amazing prices. This, I fear, will be a monthly stop for her. read more

It's a thrift store - someone needs to tell them to get their noses out of the air! I went out of my way to stop in with 3 garments tonight, and my treatment left a little to be desired. There was no greeting when I entered the store, and the employee looked over the 3 items and said "I'll pass." No "I am sorry, I can't take these right now," or "I am not interested in these, but thank you very much for bringing them in." Just "I'll pass!" I sell regularly at the 2 consignment stores in town. After this experience, I think I will stick to them and "I'll pass" on Fringe and Fray. read more
