This Costco isn't very busy at all, which makes it a joy to shop at! Carts are readily available, parking was fine and the food court is inside which makes it a lot more hygienic for eating indoors instead of outdoors like other Costco's. However my only gripe is that the food court only had ONE cashier open even when there was a line of at least 6 people. read more

Stopped by here while visiting family over this summer. This is a clean, spacious Costco. Considering that we went on a Saturday afternoon, this location was barely full. The offerings were plentiful, food was fresh, and the employees were friendly. Compared to the Costco(s) I'm used to going to down here in Orange Co., this particular location stood out for the lack of foot traffic. Parking was easy to find (we parked steps from the door) - checkout was fast - they had several lanes open and I noticed that most lines were never more than 2 or 3 carts deep. This 2 star rating is for their Tire Center. They forgot to call me til 6 days later when I called them to see if my tire was ordered and installed on my rim. It was ready days ago but they "forgot" to call. Then, when I went in to pick up, they ended up not having time to install my tire on car - it doesn't take that long to take spare out and put a new tire on. They asked to reschedule to bring in my car so they can put the new tire on - I was pissed and I'm sure he knew that.. I literally just looked at him and told him I would install it myself. Hmm not his fault but the supervisor probably isn't do too good of a job keeping tabs on things like this. I'll have to go back to Costco on Andresen as they're usually on top of their service. read more

Wtf happen to the tire center? Old crew was so awesome, now it's a $hit show. Treated very poorly. 6 hrs after dropping off my car, they called to say they are out of lug nuts, so pick up your car and bring it back when they get stock. I just went and paid $50 to buy some from Leswab. Recycled my old tires without my permission, very poor communication. Left my tire kit open in my trunk. Took me 2 days to get a 1 hr work done. read more

I like this Costco because it is easy to get in and out of. It isn't as busy as most Costcos so the wait time in the Checkout line is short. This one also is cleaner than most. Went on a Tuesday whick is busy with the Seniors so be patient as they clog up the aisles amd walk slower. read more

Do NOT BUY APPLIANCES AT COSTCO! We made the mistake of buying a washer and dryer and it's been a nightmare. The logistics team actually stole the pedestal to our old dryer that I wanted to sell. Took our expensive hook ups and replaced w cheap rubber. Installed the dryer w the vent actually folded behind it. Their idea of leveling the appliances is shaking them w their hands...they have no concept of what tool they need to level them. Then the one guy trapped his partner behind the dryer so he had to jump over the top standing on the dryer denting it. They ordered me a replacememt...which rattles horribly when it runs. I called Costco and they are more than happy to refund both...which I can't do that yet because everyone is sooooooo backordered. I will go out shopping tonight and buy someplace else and have Costco refund both appliances and my executive membership. I can get horrible customer service anywhere...I'm not paying for it. read more

I hope that I'll have a chance to update this review with more stars, but they need to READ the reviews and actually do something about the customer service. I would HIGHLY suggest that this store does additional customer service training and emphasize LISTENING while in training. This store has major issues listening to their customers. It's like they have a script that they all must stick to at this store. The other problem that I see consistently is a few employees (the same ones each time) that have a really bad attitude yet consistently work the registers. Put them in positions where they don't have to be around customers. I must state I do understand the Costco business model and I am aware that customer service isn't as high on the list as other stores because it is such a different business model. People will keep coming because of the products, but in a world where customer service is becoming more important with more and more millennial female buyers, I would make sure that 'listening' is stressed more in training as this may start to damage the Costco model in the future. For example about listening, when a customer has a large amount of food that includes eggs, please give them the box they ask for more than 3x. My eggs broke because of the horrible packing job they did. What I don't get is that the employees get paid well here, yet I see about 5-6 on the floor that act like they cannot stand their job at this store ONLY, and these are the same people that are aggressive about up-selling the executive membership. I will say that the people who work at the food counter are consistently pleasant. read more

Got in a line with the fewest amount of people, as anyone would, and then got shamed when Deanna (a manager perhaps?) wondered aloud (very loud) "What is wrong with these people? Don't they know how to read"? She then stared down an elderly woman before heading to the line of carts to retrieve a "Lane Closed" plastic board which she placed in front of the lady's items. The cashier told her it was fine, but Deanna stared down the unwashed masses who dared to not inspect the general area for an obscured sign and find another line. Well, Deanna, in case you happen to read this, allow me to share some basic customer service tips with you: 1. When lines are closed at Costco please put the sign on the conveyer belt. People don't naturally look to the line of carts for breaking news regarding lane closures. 2. If a lane is closed, I'm sure politely asking the customers to move to another line would be met with the level of compliance you want, nay, demand. Also, they wouldn't think you're an awful person. This is my first bad experience with a Costco employee after years of being a card carrying customer. I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come, and just one terrible bleach blonde mistake. read more

Costco is generally solid all around, but sometimes the staff isn't super nice which is understanding given how crazy busy it gets. The people at this Costco are ALWAYS helpful and nice-- even during rush hours. I've personally seen them put up with some really annoying customers. read more

I just wanted to give Costco In Camas a 5+++ rating. My husband and I were put on a waiting list for an immunization that is in very short supply. It trickles into the pharmacy and they go through the waiting list and call the customer The other day they called and said we were next on the list to get the shot....unfortunately we are out of town for a few weeks and we talked to a Pharmacy Tech and she said we had to come in soon and get the shot or they would move to the next person on the list. This is where the 5+++ star rating comes into play.....a few minutes later she called us back and said they would hold our order until we got back home!!! You know if you were dealing with Walgreens, RiteAid or any other Pharmacy they would have said "Sorry, too bad" but the fact that she went above and beyond and discussed this with the Pharmacist and he agreed to hold it tells me a lot about Costco and the Costco Pharmacy. read more

Costco, I love you and I hate you all at the same time. You MAKE me buy large quantities of processed food that I shouldn't have. You fill my house with a 3 year supply of toothpaste. You are closed on days that make no sense to me. On the other hand, on a Friday afternoon there are so many samples out that I don't have to feed my kids dinner when I get home. You can buy healthy choices that are convenient too. Shopping here is just plain fun. You never know what you're going to find. Seriously, this is a great Costco. I just moved to the area from another state and this is the closets Costco to my House now. The service here is so horrible that I have decided not to renew my membership when it's due. They cut down their staff with covid and now the lines take FOREVER! I don't have a half of the day to stand in line in Costco. No thank you. My time is too valuable. And I know many people complain. I prefer going to this Costco over the one near the airport, even though I live mighty close to that one. Why? Because it's not super bananas busy like the Portland Costco. I can actually navigate the store without being hit with carts or TVs that people have loaded up in their carts. It's nice, because at the Portland location, it's like everyone is in a hurry. Here? Not so much. I've had nothing but good customer service experiences here. My wife and I had to renew our membership and it was a cinch. Also - make sure to say you're an Oregon resident, if you're an Oregon resident, to not get taxed. And do not leave without grabbing a Costco hot dog. Went to get 2 new front tires. I told them that I wanted them on the FRONT. Got home and husband said to me they put them on the rear. WTH....plus they kept trying to sell me 4 tires after the ones I ordered came in. They should of told me prior to ordering 2 tires that they reccomend all 4 even though my rear tires are in great condition. Not happy with tire center. read more

Had an interesting argument with the door entrance person. I forgot my card had my card on the APP lemon wallet. Entrance guy. You cannot come in with that card. You have to have the physical card. Me. "What" You need the physical card. OH. me well I just returned a $130 purchase by showing this card. Sorry the manager says you need a physical card to enter. I wonder if I would have used my app to get a temporary card!? But this policy SUCKS. GET INTO THE 21st century Costco. read more

For what we buy at CostCo I give it 4-stars. I want to give this location 5, but I do wish they carried more organic produce. Great for buying: - organic maple syrup - raw, unfiltered washington honey - 6-pack organic chicken stock - razor blades - toilet paper - paper towels - dishwasher tablets - tin foil that comes in sheets - gas We used to live in the Bay Area and waiting in line for gas at CostCo was such a waste of time. At this location it is never more than a one-car wait--often no wait at all--which makes me very happy. They gas isn't always the absolute cheapest, but it is definitely cheaper than average. read more

There's something about the smell of Costco that I love. Coyld be the wide variety of food they offer, or maybe it's abstetos. Either way, every time I walk into a Costco, the smell is the first thing I notice. Most Costcos are pretty uniform, so thete isn't much to talk about with what they offer. This Costco compared to the one on Andreson or in Portland is probably the least crowded. The staff is nice, and the store is clean. My one gripe has to deal with the samples. I'm all for free samples, but they need to find a way to serve them without crowding lanes. I'm trying to get past the deli area, but there are 15 people hovering at one samples table, probably one degree away from being deemed a riot. Then there are three people in the middle of the aisle eating their tiny portion of frozen burrito. After I finally get around them, I find out that there are 5 more sample tables in the next 50 feet, with the same issue. Other than that, good times! read more

Okay, they put in a bike rack so I'm adding a star. This takes the location to 4 star status, which is pretty good. I imagine a scene where the rack installers are reviewing the location with the store manager, who hasn't ridden a bike (remember, this is my imaginary scenario) in decades. Installer - "It should be (N) inches from the wall, like this." Manager - "That takes too much space. Put it closer to the wall. Closer. No, closer. NO, CLOSER, CLOSER, CLOSER. Okay, that's good." Installer - "K." My subtle point is that the rack is too close to the wall. Also, I wonder about the training of register staff at this particular location. It's the only Costco of the four I frequent where they ask in a way that I would describe as almost forcefully, "You don't want a box for that, do you?" If you're sensing a connection to my "box" point and my bike rack issues, I'll tell you that I only buy a few items when on my bike, so I'm referring now to times when I have a lot of things that are much easier to manage when put in boxes. When I have just a few things they don't ask about a box. Maybe they're selling cardboard to a recycler. I don't know. read more

I must be slacking in my check ins when I come here, because I've surely been here waaaay more than 5 times. I'll set myself a reminder. How could anyone not like Costco? I mean, you can get way more of something than you could get through in a decade for like half the cost of the traditional size in a regular grocery store. Plus, they do special offers for members like travel, rental cars, new car purchases, etc etc. My advice is to go on a weekday in the morning. I swear Saturday and Sunday at any time, or weekdays after 5 are the worst possible times to visit. This one isn't nearly as packed as the one on 88th, but hoooooly moly! Today was the first time I've ever seen this Costco busy...I guess people have finally found it. We enjoyed the slower pace while it lasted. I am loving that we have Costco gas near our house now! The parking lot is a bit funky but I can get past that, for now. I feel that with that additional building that is going to have 5 - 10 various other businesses the parking situation is going to be out of control by next year...we shall see. Of all the Costco's I've been to this is top on my list. The people who work here are friendly and always willing to point me in the right direction, usually walking me right to what I'm looking for. They make returns quick and easy and never make me feel bad for returning something. The store is clean and well put together. The lines here are shorter than most Costco's I've been to and if you purchase something BIG they happily help, not making you feel like you're a burden. The Optic Department is quick and efficient and I appreciate that they do eye mapping. It's a deeper look into the eye and can catch diseases before they get out of hand. All the people that worked with me were sweet and ready to answer my questions. The pharmacy is busy and you may have to wait but again, the people are sweet and easy going so you don't mind the wait. There is plenty of parking, it's never been an issue for me at all. The gas lines at this Costco move quickly, but they don't have Diesel, yet. Come check it out! Than again, don't. Keep our lines down read more

Literally hounded and harassed by a worker trying to get me to get the more expensive membership. I declined literally ten times and she wouldn't stop pushing it. I wanted to walk out but the Membership fee was a Gift from my mom who was with me. This was the rudest woman I've ever encountered in service and I walked around the store with knots in my stomach after. Be prepared. If you are getting a membership and you get this person, she will not take no for an answer. Of course costco itself has some good toy deals, good samples, and unique products you can't find anywhere else . That's where the stars come from. read more

When the store first opened, I loved shopping here because it's not crowded. I've come to realize that it's not crowded because there is no focus on customer service. When I've asked questions about the location of an item, the employee has gestured in the general direction and said "somewhere over there" and walked off. Over the holidays, it still wasn't very crowded and I still couldn't get any assistance. Even one of the management types looked up an item for me to confirm it was in stock, but couldn't explain where in the store it might be. I won't even go into my problems with the optical department. . I've gone back to shopping at the Costco in Vancouver, even though it''s much more crowded. I've shopped at many Costco stores over the years and consider myself a loyal customer. Most of the time, the stores are crazy busy, but the employees are actively helping customers This store consistently provides poor customer service and many of the employees seem unhappy to be there. We were literally yelled at and treated like scam artists because we did not realize our membership had expired. My mother got my wife and I a membership last year for Christmas, and we only go maybe every three or four months, mainly to get dog food because they have the only kind our dog isn't allergic to. We were told our membership had expired, and badly needed food for our dog. Alex the night supervisor said, direct quote 'I can do it under a guest account, BUT THIS IS THE LAST TIME!! YOU NEED TO GET IN AND RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP!!' This greatly upset my wife, because there were other customers around who heard the entire conversation. Now I work in retail, have for many years, if I spoke to a customer that way, I would be fired. His attitude toward us makes me not want to renew my membership. read more

So where to start? Getting in and out of the parking lot is like being a rat in a maze. The store is set up backwards from other Costco's, dairy is inconveniently in its own section. They only have one Port, but three hundred vodkas. I have always wished that they would do away with their samples, all they do is screw up the flow and clog the isles.
