We really like this natural grocers, we'll I should say my son. He likes supplements and organic food. This particular store like a GNC and New Seasons having a love child. If you're supplement person and like natural / organic food this is the store for you. The store itself is small and the staff are pretty friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit higher than other stores in the area. My advice is stop by to pick some of your organic and supplemental particulars. Maybe do your grocery shopping else where. read more

I often go to this store because it's close to my house. It's much better than stinky QFC. Yes, it's not as nice as New Seasons but the prices are much more reasonable as well. The selection is not the best but I have never encountered a poor quality produce/ items. Also, customer service have been nice , at least every time I come in. I also don't understand the complains from some customer about limited returns... The one thing that Natural Grocers seems to have is consistency...each location I've been to is consistently terrible, and consistently gets worse with each, "Maybe I'll give them another shot" visit. This location seems even dingier and more neglected than the others I've been to. Signage is sparse, such as with the giant farm trough full of bath bombs at the front entrance. How much they cost was anybody's guess since they weren't individually priced, nor was there any signage to indicate any prices. The same apparent neglect held throughout most of the store. Employees were nowhere to be found, the produce looked uniformly well past its prime, and lots of items were in the wrong places on the shelves, showing that there's not enough time spent cleaning and maintaining. The thing that I found most shocking was the sign at the cash register stating that only two items per receipt could be returned. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This basically confirms that their wares are SO terrible that they get tons more returns than a typical grocery store does. This is easy to fix by putting adequate effort in up-front, and not victimizing one's customers for their shortcomings. I'm done with Natural Grocers...no more second or third chances. read more

I used to think this Natural Grocers is a great and friendly store until I bought a milk frothing tool from this location. This tool fails to work only after 2 uses. So I decided to bring it back to the store for a return or exchange. I have only bought it two weeks ago. The store clerk wasn't very nice even at the start of my explanation on why I wanted to return or exchange the frothing tool. She had no smile on her face the whole time I was talking to her. She called up another guy who I assumed was the manager. He didn't even bother to try to do something for me. They both said I couldn't return the frothing tool for a refund of $9.99 plus tax. When I asked to get a giftcard in return for the cost of the product, they just flat out telling me NO. So I guess Natural Grocers have absolutely no confidence in the products they sell and they DO NOT stand by their products. So a tip for all the Natural Grocers shoppers out there... buy things from the store at your own risk. And I am pretty sure you won't get any customers satisfaction from this store. As for me, I'm done being a loyal customer there. I'm much happier taking my money to Trader Joe's or WholeFood. read more

This review is actually based off an experience with someone who answered the phone there (she sounded like a young woman). I explained I was searching everywhere I could think for Duck Eggs or even just Duck. Our dogs are enduring a health crisis and don't want to eat, one of them has allot of allergies and duck really is the only protein source that she seems to react well too. Anyways the vet wanted us to feed them rice and duck egg. They didn't end up having either but the woman was so kind recommending I checkout Asian Markets. Unfortunately after calling those markets I'm realizing that everyone is out of Duck eggs or duck (maybe a holiday reason?). But I want to say the kindness in taking time to try to help me solve me problem was just so nice and so appreciated. read more

My husband and I arrived a few minutes before opening (Monday 12/19/2022) and waited in our car until the posted 8:30am opening time. 8:30am, no one opening the door. Workers inside in the produce section, one clearly sees us standing outside the locked door, but does nothing. They both disappear. Meanwhile a couple more customers collect outside the door. I knock a couple of times, still nothing. Finally at 8:34 a woman with a key opens the front door. Says NOTHING to the four customers standing outside in the chilly air, no eye contact, no smile, no "good morning", no "hey, sorry to keep you waiting ". Just opened the door and completely ignored the customers waiting to spend their money here. In general I like this store, its products, and its spacious layout. Lovely health and beauty section. But let's talk about CLEANLINESS. See the photos for an example of cobwebs on the aisle signage. It's not Halloween and these are NOT decorations. These are real cobwebs on MOST of the aisle signs. That's disappointing. Other reviewers have mentioned lack of cleanliness and plenty of people have expressed their disappointment at the poor customer service. Now I've seen it for myself. I hope they read and take their reviews seriously and make some changes. Will I continue to shop here? Probably, but I would rather look forward to it as well. read more

I am amazed that this location has only 20 reviews. It should have a hundred or more. Beautiful, peaceful, immaculate store. Excellent, reliable customer service. Employees are mellow yet attentive, very helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and "go the extra mile" to help you locate the item(s) you need. I have found very helpful service from employees at this location on 192nd in Vancouver both over the phone and in-store. It is rare that I cannot locate an item that I need here - and often I have had to drive here from clear over the other side of Vancouver, from the Hazel Dell store, when I could not find what I was looking for there. This is a nice, roomy shop, beautifully designed and lit, clean (bathroom too), and check-out service is always smooth and speedy. I wish this shop was much closer to where I live, but it is always worth it, to drive the extra miles to get here from La Center. Thank you to whomever is managing this shop - it is appreciated more than you know, in these very stressful times, it is very helpful to have a shop that carries what you need. read more

We love Natural Grocers for their organic food and health remedies, with good prices, selection and great customer service. All of their staff are friendly, respectful and seem to really enjoy their work environment. Natural grocers is a great place to find hard to find things. I've also noticed that some of the healthier food items that my husband and I are looking for I have found at natural grocers and at a better price than some of the larger grocery stores in our area. When I buy primarily from natural grocers I find I leave with healthier products, more produce and less junk. I am signed up for their rewards and I earn dollars off towards my next purchase. This is not a huge Advantage to savings but it is welcome when you are seeking certain products. As with all grocery stores now inflation has made shopping more stressful, natural grocers is of course reflecting this. The staff turnover has become more frequent, I will say whoever hires at the store does a very good job because what is maintained is the integrity of the kind of business model that natural grocers is promoting. I find the staff to usually be younger, very patient and accommodating. Parking is not an issue, there is handicap parking provided right up front clearly marked and there is good lighting all around the parking area. read more

Not good. I tried it for the first time. They had good products at competitive prices. The workers there are just not great. I went and got in line, then the guy ringing people up just left. With a whole line of people. He just walked away. After a few minutes we figured out he wasn't coming back, so I got in a different line. The person in front of me wanted to buy 4 dozen eggs. They have a limit of 3 dozen eggs. So the cashier rang it up in two very time consuming transactions. The husband then decides he needs yet more eggs and an English cucumber. The cashier is like, "sure, I can wait. No hurry" it was 15 minutes. Maybe they would be fine if you used instacart, but I for sure would never shop there again. read more

This is a tough one, Natural Grocers is a store I wanted to like, and not that it's bad, but it's just not up to the nearby competition, more on that later. The actual store is largeish with wide aisles and that clean, we've only been open for a few weeks, look to it. The vitamin section is huge, over three aisles worth of the bottles, whereas the produce section, altho it's ONLY organic, is still a bit on the small side. Some items, like cereals for example, they have a ton of interesting brands and styles. Their frozen selections are also rather vast, but it sells no wine or beer. And even tho there is a rather neat looking Test Kitchen near the front of the store, you won't find a deli anywhere here. The pricing is more similar to Whole Foods than it is to New Seasons and the selection in general is not as good as either of those other stores. Directly across the street, within walking distance, is a QFC, and within a mile or two there is a New Seasons and a Whole Foods. With all that competition so close, you'd think that Natural Grocers would try to stand out in some way, but instead they are doing basically the same thing as the others, just not as well or with as much variety. The day I visited, there were more employees than customers, but all the employees I spoke with were all very nice and helpful. read more

I love a good health food store! I'm visiting the area and needed to grab some vitamins and a favorite bar of mine. They have a great supplement and vitamin section!! They seriously have everything you could need and more. When it comes to food they also have a great selection and variety. A gentleman helped me in the vitamin section and was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The woman at the cash register was not the most personable, but I won't let that affect the 5 stars since my overall experience was great! Remember to bring your own bags - they don't have paper or plastic bags. They have reusable bags you can buy if you need too. read more

When I took them back to the store, they would not replace them. For the price, they need to back up their products.I wish I could give them NO stars. Go next door to QFC. I fiiiinally made it in here to see what Natural Grocer's was all about. We usually shop at New Seasons/Whole foods and this store is like a mini version of either of those. They have a small produce section but the variety is good. I think most of the meats and other food is frozen and a huge supplements/herbal medicine section and beauty care section. This store was a lot bigger than I was expecting from the outside. This probably isn't a place I would do my regular grocery shopping at, but definitely a great place to stop for a few items you might not find elsewhere or if you are on 192nd and don't feel like going all the way over to 164th. I was a Natural Grocer customer when I lived in another state and was delighted to find one nearby when we relocated to Vancouver. Their stores are always impeccably clean and well stocked and I feel healthier just walking through the door. Their supplement/vitamin selection is very complete. I came by recently, looking for supplements and vitamins and had a few questions about my choices. I was referred to Jenn R. their certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), (I never knew this service existed!) Jenn spent a lot of time with me asking questions and offering advice. She suggested scheduling a private consultation which I thought was awesome. I have to say that in one meeting with Jenn, she managed to provide me far more useful and updated information than any doc I've been to recently. Natural Grocer's focus is on the healing power of foods. The suggestions Jenn made have made a tremendous difference in my overall well being and I'm feeling so much healthier and energetic. No doctor on the planet would spend the time or even knows how to discuss wellness....but Jenn does. Other stores do not have a dedicated staff member who really knows about the supplements they sell...you are on your own. Natural Grocer gets it right on all fronts and carries the products I love.I am a forever customer because I like this store and what they stand for. read more

NO comparison to New Seasons and Whole Foods. Management should vet their new employees better there is way better service and attitude right across the street even at QFC. Natural Grocers do it, like the others should. The Pacific Northwest, is a hot bed, for the large health food chain stores. New Seasons, Whole Foods, a bevy of farm co-ops & smaller retail stores. The Co-ops are a little better. But the big box stores, are just expensive for trendy treats. Natural Grocers, actually research thir products. It's hard to monitor the filler foods (boxed dinners, etc.). Their produce & bulk foods are tops. Clearly better than the competition, rate wise as well... After becoming dissatisfied with my weekly grocery store of over a decade, I started shopping here about six months ago. I was initially impressed with the quality and selection of organic produce, but I also came to appreciate the quality of everything else I tried. The atmosphere is calm and personal and the best part of the whole shop is the people. Kayla and I have had many an enlightening conversation in the produce department where she has encouraged me to try new vegetables and I have returned to share photos of my successful results. Carlos quickly and efficiently checks out my shamefully full cart and variety of oddball roots and herbs without missing a trick. At the same time, we chat a bit about the news of the day and our plans for the future. During this challenging time, I am especially grateful for these heroes in my community. It has a great selection ..however the staff was the issue for me...no personality whatsoever and kinda rude. 3 of them just stood in a corner looking totally depressed ...the cashier we got was just cold no how are you or did you find everything you were looking for Nada except "hi" and she was clearly peeved we forgot our bags and wanted us to carry it out in a pile but did offer a small box while looking annoyed. If they just had more friendly staff it would be so much better..it just felt kinda lifeless in there...no one wants to shop in a place where employees are wandering around like someone shot their dog. This store just opened up down the street and I'm a little obsessed with groceries so of course I went to check it out! It is more specialty than Whole Foods or New Seasons and seems to specialize in supplements and pills? I was kinda surprised, I guess I was expecting a store more like Whole Foods. Very nice store. Clean aisles and a friendly staff. I was expecting more of a whole foods experience but that wasn't the case. The vitamins alone have 3 aisles. The assortment mix of items is limited;however they try to cover most of the basics. I could not find a bakery or any freshly prepared foods. The produce section is a little smaller than new seasons;however, the space at this location is tight. I will say the produce was good quality and presented well. All common produce items were available. One note regarding vitamins, I found more here than any other grocery store I've visited. The selection was vast. This is a Bagless store. I love my natural grocers and the regular employees that work there but today's trip was rather disappointing. I was looking for some children's vitamins and as I went up to the older cashier lady to ask her if she knew anybody that could assist me she looked at me didn't say anything and started talking on the speaker. OK I left I was not going to take an item I gave it to her so it wouldn't be displaced anywhere in the store once again no I contact and she did not acknowledge me what so ever I don't know her name but she is an older Caucasian lady blonde short hair. Maybe she was distracted as I walked up to the cashier and she was on her phone but I thought that was very rude and disrespectful totally made my trip to my favorite store not a good one. The date I came was January 30 at 3:00 PM hopefully management will see this and maybe have a talk with her that she should address every customer with a smile be respectful and answer them when they're speaking to her and Not be on her phone. read more

Finally checked out Natural Grocers and I'm glad I did. It's easy to shop there, efficiently set-up. Since they only carry organic produce there's not a huge selection. But, it's organic! Easy! I've usually been greeted soon after walking in the store, and often a staff person comes by to see if I need help finding anything. Was told by the staff that every personal care and health and beauty product is carefully screened and Natural Grocers will only carry it if it meets certain standards and does not contain ingredients they don't like. They have a good selection of vegan products, high quality dog food, and recycled paper products, most at prices slightly lower than Whole Foods or New Seasons. Even tho the store is a little out of the way I go the distance on a regular basis because they have high standards, relatively good prices, and they carry many of the things I buy, some of which I haven't been able to find elsewhere. read more
