This location is super crowded, every day, all day. I only stopped here because I was heading back to Portland from The Gorge and needed to get gas and pick up a roasted chicken. Yes, the famous roasted chicken that feeds a family of 6 for just $4.99. The chickens were just getting packaged as I arrived and thought I was lucky to get one hot and fresh. But when I got it home, the dark meat was completely pink and raw. I was shocked as I figured the quality control on their number one loss leader would be exceptional. Luckily the breast meat was fine. I also grabbed some of the special Godiva heart candy that was around for Valentine's Day. A one pound bag of individually wrapped dark chocolate hearts filled with dark chocolate truffle. They are great in a candy dish, since they are individually wrapped, but even better when you unwrap it and put on a dessert dish as the accompaniment. I bought two bags! This is a large Costco and it is so much harder to navigate than my Tigard store and some of the items are not in the usual spot adding to the confusion. People everywhere, aisles are crowded and you have to wait to try to grab an item. The lines at the register are even longer, the parking lot crazier than the already crazy parking lots at Costco. I'll stick to the much smaller and far easier to navigate Costco right off I-5 in Tigard.

It's a zoo. Almost every spot is taken. There are some on the Southeast end of the parking lot.

Love that there's a good selection of Asian goods here. Always lots of people but you can find parking . I find it weird that specialty items are sometimes hidden in the back corner where most people won't go to look.

t's a good place to come, even when it's busy there's not a long wait time. Everytime I walk into the store, I spend more than planned. This store has a large variety. This location seems bigger than most. This isn't my favorite location, but it's typically has lots of clearance clothes. I have been to Costco's in several states and a couple of countries. They all are the same. Big warehouses enticing me to shop and spend money.

I came to walk and browse at Costco. They have so much more clothes and items costs a little more than the other locations that I have been to. Of course, I had to get some food samples...I gave in and brought some tasty snacks.

I read about people complaining because it's busy. People it's COSTCO! I have found our SE Costco to be clean and organized and the employees very helpful. There's nothing like walking past the pastry area and then to my favorite area where they bake the rotisserie chicken. I love the idea that I can purchase a great Kirkland table wine and I can also purchase a thousand-dollar bottle of brandy. We have been members for 20+ years and are proud of it. I am by nature impatient. I prepare myself for the parking lot and the wondering people slumped over their cart . It's just a thing that Costco cannot do anything about. I can however, say that our Costco nearly doubled the gas station lines and it has made a HUGE difference. We are fans!

    Ask the Community - Costco

    Does this Costco sell ice?

Yes, usually in the frozen food section or near the self checkout lanes.

Does this location sell gift certificates to Portland City Grill?

Costco has gift cards, but like everything at Costco, what they had yesterday may not be there today. They have many restaurant gift cards. Do they specifically have City Grill today? You'll have to go into the store and find out.

Which Costco sell the Mavens Durian ice-cream?

You can check Costco app under my warehouse to search for inventory or call the store

Do they sell Vodka at this location?

Nope, that's not allowed in Oregon right now. It is in Washington though.

I was pleasantly surprised there wasn't that horrible off-gassing smell at similar type places. However, they did have some kind of odd blinky holiday lights that made annoying noises throughout my visit. I toured each aisle and there wasn't anything to my liking but I can see where a new Asian restaurant could completing outfit their establishment with everything they need. It was nice to see they had real plants! I would consider returning for those or maybe some of their pots. Prices were okay, not great. According to many handmade signs, they take shoplifting seriously!

I wanted to see if there is a Kmart near the area so I did a Yelp search for Kmart, this Portland Closeout store popped up. After glancing at Yelp photos, the 20 % off Yelp check in caught my eye, and the funny t-shirts, the ones on their profile pic. I asked my personal Uber driver ( my other half) to take me. You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. There are tons and tons of stuff. Its like a one stop shop, Things you need in Chinatown and the flea market combined together. I am pretty sure you will find something you don't need but actually need here. Just like my experience here. I had fun looking around, Lets see this shop is HUGE! There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! Overall, I love how I discovered this place and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I will be back. If you just moved to Portland, Please check out Portland Closeout, I guarantee you will find products for your new place and you can thank me later!! #101/100/2017
