Busy Sundays at Costco is never fun but the great customer service helps. Steve M (check out guy) was still friendly on this busy day. Asked if I needed anything or food at the check stand. I can tell he had a big smile behind that face mask. I appreciated there was no rush to get me out of door but they moved quite quickly still. My other customer service highlight was as I tried to put a bag of charcoal in my cart, a Costco rep swept in and helped me put it on my cart for me. To the employee who was working the self check out at around 12:30 this afternoon. Shame on you for racial profiling me. Hurrying over to scan my 3 items as if I couldn't have done it myself, hence the self check out. However you didn't seem to mind the lady who went before me with a full cart. I suppose she didn't require your assistance scanning her items. The lame excuse you gave me getting through the line. Well Sir there was absolutely NO-ONE behind me! In this big year of 2024 we are still judging people by the color of their skin. I have no need to steal from COSTCO. I have been an Executive Member for over 5 years. Harrison working in the food court needs to be checked for his lack of people skills I found his tone and communication very belittling after him telling me where I should be waiting for my food. I was told I need to wait 15 min for a slice of pizza - which I did. Apparently they thought I was waiting for a whole pizza - even though I said slice and showed my receipt. So Harrison then comes and tells me next time I need to wait at the window if it's just for a slice because he thought I was waiting for a whole pizza - saying it in a way as if I'm holding up HIS time. Like huhhh? I'm always told by the food court staff to come around to wait so we're not holding up the line, so I never knew about this "need to wait at the window" rule. Since he said that he thought I was waiting for a whole pizza I responded "Oh I did tell you guys it was just a slice?" And instead of checking his lil attitude he straight up ignores me, gives me the rest of my order that I waited over 15 min for which I wouldn't have to have waited for if they didn't mistake my slice for a whole pizza, and just moves on. And I'm left there like damn okay thanks?? So yeah Harrison, I hope you or your higher ups read this. You clearly take no pride in how you carry yourself or have any capabilities of decency, but I didn't deserve your attitude at all - I communicated to your employee what I ordered and showed my receipt so I did my part. I stand by the rule of treating others how you want to be treated and I wasn't being difficult to y'all in any way although I was waiting over 15 min w my three whining kids lol. We were at costco today , late afternoon, my husband scanned his membership card , But I have a return item on my hand , as soon as the check in clerk saw it, she told me that I cannot bring it inside , which I already know, but my husband was still wiping the soaking wet cart, but this blonde clerk was so antsy for me to get out of her sight, so I left my husband still wiping the cart and lined up at customer service, my husband came and used his card for the return, when done this smart woman told us that we need to go again at the check in stand to scan the membership card, my husband politely told her that he already scanned his card, but she acted like she's the law of the land that we need to be counted ( we've already been counted)!!! My husband got no choice but to go outside in the cold and line up again to be scanned, my husband walks with a cane. I know that people there are trying to do their job but to me , it was an overreach, that she'll get an instant promotion by making her own rules. We've been costco members since it was called Price Club and so many changes have happened since then, but this one was ridiculous , just how many times does membership card need to be scanned? I know that numbers of people determine the number of cash registers need to be open at a given time. I hope that this business practice should be looked at and improved due to inconvenience that it caused loyal customers, in addition , the people in front of us were not told to get out and line up to be counted! I was so disappointed. I ordered a cake a week I advance. I showed up in the morning and it wasn't even started granted I put pm would be fine for pick up. Went back to pick up and cake wasn't even frosted everywhere and the baker didn't put the old on correctly so by the time I realized 2 sides of the cake were smeared all over lid. Today was not a good day at this frequently shopped Costco. Angelica decides to question me about my purchases and makes me wait a long time as she is s rummaging through 0my groceries. She asked about my Scallop potatos in how may I have? I tell her she should check for herself. I ask her why all the scrutinizing? She gets smart and sarcastic 'You never know'. Well you just looked at the person before me and let them go with a flip of the pen. They had an equal amount of groceries that I had. Hummm! I'm now livid as I just spent over $400 and another $350 last night. I decide to go back In after unloading my groceries to make a complaint. As I walk through the door I iook at her name tag and she yells at me "ANGELICA,' Now I'm furious. I've explain to the Supervisor that my mate and I come in here weekly and never have been treated as Such! Matter of fact we know some of the associates who always greet us regularly. Hmm....Costco Christmas Trees. First let me say that our Vacaville, Ca Costco warehouse has been a great place for our family to shop. No complaints there. Christmas Tree this year, on the other hand, was so very disappointing. The low price of $45 was not worth it! We bought our tree 1 week after Thanksgiving and immediately placed it in water when getting it home. I ignored all the needles that had dropped out of it thinking they were just loose from being cut down, tied up and stuffed together with other trees. Unfortunately, with Christmas just a few days away, the needles have continued to fall off and it's completely dried out. Was hoping to keep it beyond Christmas Day into the new year. We will not be purchasing our tree through Costco again. Money back would be great! read more

Short review incoming! Costco does indeed vary from store to store. This includes both inventory, and especially in store traffic. While I have only visited this location a few times, every time I have visited it, there has never been an issue compared to some others I have dealt with in the past. First and foremost, the foot traffic here has been significantly less compared to some other bay area locations, which is great! Another plus is the fact that their inventory seems to be always adequately stocked versus the other stores where things may run out quick if marked down or put on monthly deals. Outside of those few aspects, its the same brand store/warehouse we have all come to love! read more

Packed up the family for a trip to Vacaville Costco. Arrived and unloaded, when I noticed the stroller tires looked a little low. Minor inconvenience, NBD. Pushed past the entrance and to the service department/tire center where we encountered Mike. He inflated the tires to specifications and did so with a smile. I like Costco a lot! I am saddened that they have less books now than in the past in paperback, as I like to read and pass it forward. It is always a little hit-and-miss on what they have in stock at any given time, so it is sort of a big scale Marshalls or Home Goods with that in mind. We buy fish and meat and then spend a hour or so doing Seal A Meal so we can use it over time. Sometimes I wish they would pre-package in smaller individual portions so I don't have to waste my time doing it when I get home. Their white women's T-shirts are my go-to for summer, as they are cheap and I don't mind so much when I ruin one or two or three. I am a messy cook. I love the "cheap" big rolls of ribbon, but wish they sold them all year round. You have to buy enough at Christmas to last all year. But my favorite purchase ever were my four gray Adirondack chairs that I bought 15 years ago and still look new! read more

I purchased a Samsung television from Costco and regret buying any electronics from Costco. The old Costo had an excellent return policy. If the items do not function even a year later, Costco would exchange the item for a working unit. Sadly, things have changed. Costco likes to advertise their TVs, etc., its themdidCostcothem and includes two-year warranties. We l, that is misleading. It's a manufacturer's warranty, and Costco offers little or no help resolving any issues you may have with an item. The Costco concierge line is merely a customer service center that tells you to contact the manufacturer. In this case, it was Samsung. Samsung has a bunch of third-party vendors, and they never provide the promised repairs or refunds for a defective product. I am very sad Costco has chosen this route to resolve issues with their electronics. I would not purchase any electronics from Costco. read more

This Costco is smaller than some, but Vacaville is consider a small town in California. This Costco is better than the one in Fairfield. With it being in a small town you get some perks, getting to know the fantastic employees Costco hires and then promotes within the company. It's always fun to go to Costco. They rearrange regularly, so it always feels like a scavenger hunt finding your pantry staples you know 100% they have not discontinued. The food court is awesome, especially when the black lady is working. (name unknown, works during the day mostly, I'm so sorry!) She is amazing. She is always running circles around most employees back there and making sure everyone gets the correct order the way they like it. I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes when promoted. This Costco may seem like the rest of them, but the employees at this location are the best Costco has! read more

We live in Fairfield but travel to Vacaville to shop at this Costco. Horrible customer service. My mom bought mozerella cheese today and after eating it she instantly felt her tongue got numb and felt sick to her stomach. . She returned it but they didn't even ask why. I called to let them know why she returned so they can be careful and check that cheese batch out and they said they will look into it. But how can you look into it when you didn't even ask me for my mothers name, the type of cheese (I didn't tell him what type of cheese) and they have so many cheeses. so how are you going to look into it when when you don't know any information. Who doesn't love Costco?! It's a must have in my household, even though the nearest store is about 45 min away. I usually shop in store but recently ordered something really heavy from their website instead of borrowing a truck and hiring guys to unload it, and, wow! what an easy and convenient process! The friendly delivery men helped move my shipment right to the location I needed it in my backyard so I didn't need to hire anyone to set it up! I'll definitely use them again for all my large or heavy items like appliances and patio pieces again and will, of course, be back to shop in the warehouse again! read more

With all the regulations regarding the COVID-19, I was surprised to see that there was no line to enter the facility. My friend took me before my Physical Therapy appt and we were able to go right in. There was hardly any paper products by the time we arrived. The only thing they had to offer in terms of paper products were C-Fold Paper Towels.(I believe that is what they are called) There was no toilet paper, no regular paper towels, and I don't believe I saw any Kleenex either. There was plenty of cases of water, Thank goodness!! I picked up my usual two cases,which will only last less than two weeks! I drink a lot of bottled water!! There are no salespeople offering samples, like the good ole' days, where you could sample enough to hold you over until you made it home to cook dinner! Lol! Or sample things that you always wanted to try, but didn't want to purchase because you weren't sure if you would like it enough to eat the huge portions that you have to purchase, given it is COSTCO. I don't know about you, but I always generally would end up purchasing whatever I would sample. It was always enticing, once I tasted it or tried it! The good thing, is now I noticed I was able to go in and purchase what I needed, without being lured to buy random foods or products that would have to sit in my freezer or on a shelf for months! The food court is now open again, but with limited options. And the check out lines went quick. We were able to go straight to a checker with new wait time. It seems the Vacaville COSTCO is pretty lienient on having people wear masks or gloves. I saw a lot of people not adhering to the new social conract regulations. I guess this COSTCO feels it to be unnecessary. The selection for breads seemed to be less than what I've noticed at other COSTCOs. It could be just during these crazy times, there may just be limited items all the way around. All I noticed was that all the items I would regularly shop only at COSTCO for were all out of stock or not available. It's a good thing I don't normally shop at this COSTCO because it would make me consider shopping elsewhere if this is the only one I had available. I'll stick with Vallejo and Fairfield COSTCO for my shopping needs. And when I am looking for the items I need here in Vacaville, I'll shop at Sam's! After finishing with my shopping I headed over to the customer service area to ask a question about an online purchase when Regina stepped in and was just super lovely. She answered our (my fiancé and I) question about the online purchase she walked us through getting set up on the app. She was just a really great sweet and made our first trip great. I should be able grouping Costco as a major retail supplier with headings for the stores and countries I have visited rather than writing an individual review for each Costco . . . However, I'll state the difference visiting Costco in a foreign country, everything is written in the country's language rather than advertised in English-now, that is a sight to behold, indeed. Imagine: Fruit advertising on sale in Korean- ! HAH! I stood in the isles staring at all the advertisements written in Korean! FYI: I have been a Costco member when my daughters were children and now, they're adults. I find visiting Costcos all over USA to jumping the pond to Hawaii to Far East Asia sell about the same foods sold at the Costco Snack Bar, buying gas for the rental car or buying tourist memorabilia but, written in another language. In other words what I'm alluding is Costco's store inventory is always consistent with regards to selling high-quality products such as surfboards, kitchenware, foods, office supplies, etc. but, geared to the location and the consumers who frequently purchase from Costco. This has been my Costco for the last 11 years. I have been to others all over. But my home location really shines. There really isn't too much to say. They stock the items I like and they usually have adequate checkers to get out fast. Yes, there are those crazy hours and days I don't go, because there are just too may people going, ie Saturday when people try to get a free lunch with their samples. What they do right is a clean and well organized store. Everything is where is belongs. They also seem to carry a lot of organic and healthier options too. The tire department has always serviced my cars. They do a great job with the appointments and getting the car back on time. I was also able to do what they call a "pro balance" so that the tires are better balanced for high speeds, ie track days. They even let me bring in my tires off the car. Thanks guys. read more

I will never shop in this store again. An older manager came up and started yelling at my husband because my service animal had an accident in the store. We did have her in the store too long and i cleaned it up myself. He yelled at my husband to get the dog out of the store and never bring her back. My husband took her directly out of the store. I apologized and he yelled at me. Then he stared at me for more than 10 minutes while i checked out. I called another manager over and complained why he was harrassing me. She said it was procedure to kick my dog out of the store. That he was just doing his job looking at the front end. I said im sorry that she had an accident and i cleaned it up but that does not excuse his behavior or harrassment towards me or my service animal. First of all I am a huge Costco fan !!! They are 5 star ..... They have great prices employees are very friendly . Recently but I had a defective lens with my glasses and frames that were chipping with my glasses . Contacted the manager about my fames chipping and she basically tried blaming it on me why they were chipping around 8 months of use . She basically tried saying it was my problem because I didn't take care of the frames correctly? Funny I've worn glasses for 60 years I still haven't figured out how to take care of them never had an issue like this ? Went to the store about my lenses defective the asst. manager said he can replace the lens in the defective frame . He said he would not replace lens with my new prescription he would have to replace with the old prescription ? Why would you replace the lens with an old prescription ? Why would would you replace lens in my defective frames ? He explained this is not his procedures but his manufacture of the lenses procedures . Again the asst . manager tried saying it was my issues I scratch the lenses ? I asked to talk to a store manager who was very friendly and accommodating . He basically said his hands were tied they weren't part of Costco . I think Costco should have more influence on their vendors that come into the store . When you're under the roof of Costco I think you should follow their company mission and standards . Believe me that vendor is very fortunate coming into your store they're making a lot of money off of Costco's name ! The optical department Manager and the assistant manager are not up to costco customer service standards. Would suggest they have Costco's customer service training ? I do plan to buy glasses from Costco but looking to drive 30 miles away to purchase them at a different Costco . I bought glasses for over 20 years at Costco hoping this is an isolated incident . To me this is substandard product and customer service . Costco really needs to look for a new vendor to lease their optical department . This is definitely not up to Costco standards . Is it a normal practice of Costco to police the food court? On this particular day I was in the area & decided that I'd like to go into Costco for the quick pick food court, aside from many other visits this would be very quick. Not knowing that because I didn't have my "member card" I would be denied in the most disgusting manner possible. I am livid that only this Costco practices pushing people out than welcoming people in, really how would I have been in Costco buying anything other than food w/out my card! Love this place. I come here weekly. We get a lot of our basics here. Love the fresh local produce. Such high quality deliciousness. This place is awesome to come to when you have littles. Samples are served after 11am M-F. The staff is very nice and very helpful. They always make small chat and answer any questions that I have. This place is always clean, stocked and well organized The food quart is great, quick and easy. Only complaint - Drives me nuts that they move stuff around all the time. It's a gimmick to make you walk the store and buy more stuff ... if you can't find what you want then while you walk around looking for it you pick up seasonal and limited items that you wouldn't have seen. read more
