This is a much smaller Costco...I didn't notice the first time I went here with a friend but most recently we were searching for some basics bath and home items and learned they do not carry things like deodorant, towels, or bedding! I purchased a new set of tires from Costco Glen Burnie, MD on Feb 8 for a scheduled 4 hour trip to mountains for Feb 13. On the morning of my trip, the tire low pressure indicator light came on. The tire pressure of the driver side was, indeed, low. I topped off the air and started my trip. Half way through my trip, the indicator light came on again. I made a detour to Costco Christiana. After about 2 hours, the mechanic in the Tire Center said it the stem and that the tire pressure sensor was bad. I agreed for the to replace the stem and sensor. About another hour, I was finally on my way to complete my trip. Atter about another hour, the indicator light came back on. I checked the tires and they all were inflated to proper levels, but the light would not be go out. On the return trip, I stopped at Costco Christiana and explained the situation. The same mechanic said they don't have the recalibration tool. First... why did they sell a pressure sensor knowing they did not have the proper tool? Second, after returning home, I researched the problem and discovered that the as Toyota cars have a tire sensor reset switch located around the glove box. I reset it myself. WHY do we pay exorbitant prices for substandard work. (For something I googled to find the simple resolution.) I question whether l needed a new sensor in the first place. I see now why the warranty for service and materials are included in the price. Buyer beware!!!! read more

Hey the gas is normally a good place to go it's used to be cheaper then most, it's just always crowded there. I love the store they have a lot of stuff in bulk so if you're not familiar with that home you're gonna be eating something for a long time or have too much of something if you don't have a big family. read more

The blonde lady that works in the liquor department was so rude! My husband and I went to check out the prices,since this is the only Costco near us that sells liquor. My husband was trying to buy a case of beer, & the worker asked us for both our ID's mind you I'm 25 yrs old. I give her my id, yes it was an expired one,my new ID I had left in my sons diaper bagbut anyways she didn't accept it bc it was expired, she took the case of beer out of the cart, I told her my husband is literally paying for it& it's not even for me, I'm just here looking at the pricing. That Im literally of age to buy alcohol if I wanted to, She said she didn't care. Didn't even let me finish talking. Then as were leaving I tell my husband he should go back in and buy the beer by himself, (I literally don't even drink beer) mid convo she says you can't do that & im not gonna serve you. Regardless idk what Delaware's policy on selling liquor, I've bought liquor in this state before never had a problem & it's more of the fact how she talked to us that I did not like!! MY FAVORITE STORE!!!! IT FINALLY HAS A GAS STATION!!!! AND THE LINES ARE SUPER SHORT (and nonexistent)!!! I secretly hope that people still don't find out about the gas so the lines stay short. Athough, there are many customers that are being inconsiderate and not actually following the directions of the flow of traffic. Costco is Costco everywhere, and is the best. Everybody already knows that... This location is great because it is near my gym, and near the mall. For this particular location, the workers have done a great job at keeping everything well stocked and clean. I don't see a lot of bad/moldy produce either. The products at this store has a good amount of Asian selection too, which is great to see. Also, NO SALES TAX. And their food court (and on East Coast), has this amazing Italian Sausage with peppers. My favorite food item on the menu!!! Often times, I will walk up and down every aisle just to see what new products they have, but they always have their regulars, like the BEST $5 chicken. All in all, costco is amazing!!! read more

Nice to shop at a Costco that doesn't charge any sales tax! This location also has the liquor store, which is nice to have as well. I walked in, and they definitely take after the Costco tradition of selling everything in bulk! Would be great for picking up some drinks for a party. We were in the area for a wedding, so we stopped in to pick up a few things. Absolutely ridiculous just was there they closed bathroom to women only. Keep saying bathroom will be open momentarily and then fifteen minutes later and long line said to use tire center and that bathroom was out of order. Totally unacceptable said we could not use men's bathroom despite no men being in there. There was a better solutions don't clean bathroom closing was at 6 it is 3:30!!! I've been going to this Costco for a few months and I've had good experiences. The cashiers are extremely quick and efficient so even though it's always packed there's hardly a wait. Today when I went I had two items to return and the woman at the customer service counter was able to help me even though I didn't have a receipt or original packaging. Some pros: tax free, abundant free samples, wide range food section (especially asian food). Quality of its generic brand : Kirkland signature. How registers have one Helper for the cashier. Bonuses for the employees. Cons: registers not labeled, no light to tell you who is available, traffic in stores is not directed by staff to help the congestion. No signs that would help tremendously lower the congestion. Staff not given 40 hours/ full time status because company doesn't want to pay them. I give 3 stars because the staff is what makes the place run and Costco should treat them like they're worth something. 4/5 stars as the consumer, 2/5 stars for how they treat their staff. I know without a doubt this is one the more high volume stores. The stress that comes from working at this place, they need to recognize more of the employees. read more

What's good everyone, this is a mixed review. I was passing through to get back to the BK and noticed this place has gas. And I'm like, yes Costco gas, love it. But let me run in first to do some stuff. Once in it was crazy clean, like very clean. All the workers was people of color and all the clients, white (with No Face Mask). It was like 5 people without mask to 1 with a mask. And man did they look at me hard, like I was an alien from out of space. I pretty much ran through the place fast because I only wanted 2 items. Once leaving this old white guy held up the line, to make a complaint about a woman breast feeding her baby in the food court. He was like he saw her whole boob and I said "It's been a while since you seen one of those, right." This Male Karen got upset and held up the line because a woman is feeding a baby in the food court. Milk comes from a women's boob, its just how it works. Sorry she didn't give you a taste first. Also, I was very under aware how White and Racist Delaware is. Very shocked to know Biden lives in that state. I have a question for the CEO of Costco, why can't all the Costco even the ones in color neighborhoods look this nice and clean like this. First time having acai bowl at a Costco, quite disappointed. It's $5 for a small bowl with granola, fresh blueberries and strawberries. The acai tastes artificial, but the granola is actually very tasty and crunchy. Don't think I'll buy it again. read more

It's Costco, the cheapest place to by 128 rolls of double ply toilet paper for $12.99! What to do with that if you're single is a whole other problem, but hey, you can bask in the relaxing knowledge that you saved a ton of money on the same paper that now clogs your bowl. But seriously, Costco has the absolutely best return policy of any store on earth. Don't like it after a month? They'll take it back. Don't like the color of your shirt because it doesn't feng-shway well with your cube? No questions asked. The prices on the things that they do have are phenomenal. Some of the stuff in the middle isle gets changed around a lot and often they'll drop a particular brand of something that you like for something else, but overall these little petty things pale in comparison to the overall savings. Here's my tip. Avoid weekends like the plague! Standing in line with 30 other PO'd people is not enjoyable. Best time to go is after 7PM any day. VA has ABC stores so you have to go out of your way for liquor back home. I found the store well stocked with a ton of variety and you can truly get all of your shopping done in this one location. On top of that since it's in DE there's no sales tax. By God if I lived closer than 4 hours away I'd use it myself. ...and the pizza wasn't bad either. read more

When we're in town we stop here and the liquor selection and prices can't be beat! The other day I went and spent $80 and came out with 6 bottles of wine, 4 bottles of Margarita, a large bottle of ginger beer, and a box of Cabernet. This was our first day at Costco in our state of Delaware. The greeter guy was nice. We told him it was our first day. He said to go around to the other door my the sign to disgust the membership process. As we followed his instructions through the other door which was the exit, the other guy checking receipt yelling rudely at my husband as we are headed to the sign for the new memberships. I had to go back and tell the guy, his coworker sent us through here. We were so embraced. The lady was nice at the counter explained the process and escorted us through the front to check out the store. We walked through and decided on the membership. George checked us out he was very nice. But as he was finishing taking our pics and handing us our new cards another female coworker was shooing as away like we were a fly. The camera for the pics was next to her register. We are new here. She could have asked George to finish the conversation with us further down or something, instead of shooing us away with her arms. George was still helping us and answering our questions. First impressions, 2 negatives from the staff and I haven't even had the chance to purchase. I hope it gets better or I will not renew. Just a little too crowded. Costco is a great store and I love the no tax in Delaware. However, this Costco in particular is very crowded and stressful. Every time I come here, it's crowded. Costco in Newark, DE (next to the Christiana Mall) is just a short jaunt from our home in South Philadelphia (about 45 minutes) and absolutely worth it for the Tax Free Shopping. The best part is that as NON-Costco members (yes! you heard that right!) we are still able to take advantage of shopping in their discount liquor store (Tax Free AND Discount Liquor?? A DOUBLE WIN!) Because there is no Costco reasonably close to us, we are BJ's members instead. Because we didn't know beforehand that you didn't need to be a member to shop at either Delaware locations' liquor store, we made the mistake of shopping at the BJ's in DE before Costco. Unfortunately we learned the hard way that the prices at Costco for the exact same products were anywhere from $0.05-$0.80 cheaper per bottle (which really adds up if you're stocking up like we were!) Ultimately both were still a huge cost savings from shopping in PA or NJ and we are already looking forward to our next trip! read more

This is my favorite company by far! I am not afraid to buy any products because of their ironclad return policy! Every state I go to I visit their stores. They have the best prices, best selection and the cleanest restrooms. Their food courts have good quality food and very cheap prices! You can't beat their prices for gasoline! Every time I go to Costco it's like heaven for shoppers who enjoy the thrill of finding new things to buy, need a new tv here, you got it, need diapers and 10 pounds of ribeye steak, you can find them all in one big warehouse. This ones got a liquor store attached. Prices for everything is reasonable but beware, each time you go here it does add up quite quickly and a simple trip turns out to be a couple hundred bucks. HOWEVER, the items you purchase here do last a long time and the food is something that will take you months to finish. I went on a Saturday....Prime rule of Costco membership sanity is never ever go on a Saturday. So maybe my review is a bit tainted, and I realize that I put myself in this situation...but you see I did it for the tax free, giant bottles of Costco liquor. Let me start by saying that getting INTO the parking lot alone was a complete nightmare. Forget finding a spot or getting into the store. Being from New Jersey amongst native Delawareians I nearly lost my voice yelling in my car. Everything was all fine and well once I got inside and got my Costco hotdog. The store is huge. I would wager to say double the size of my home location. With two walking refrigerated sections and all the samples you could ever need, this Costco has it all. Check out was honestly quite quick, much quicker then getting into the parking lot anyways. The liquor section is separate and has a nice selection of all the essentials as well as the coveted Kirkland brand. I grabbed a few bottles of Kirkland to try and can say it has lived up to its good name. A huge bottle of decent quality vodka for $11.99 is the American dream after all....right? It's great for Pennsylvanians who are willing to drive a little ways, because this Costco has a liquor store--something not available on the other side of the state line. This Costco stays really well stocked--even on Black Friday with televisions flying off the shelves (tax free!), the staff are always adding more.
