This Homewood store is just amazing with the collections they got. Lot of standard items you see in HomeGoods and great set of seasonal items too like valentines day. The store is maintained very well with stocks refilled regularly. The staff is helpful. The checkout lines are okay at time I visited, and this is a combined store with Marshall's. The kitchen utensils are really good and also international food aisle too. I definitely recommend this location. You can definitely get discounted price on certain items and great for gifting ideas. read more

Employees make rude comments about customers when they think no one can hear them. I personally heard an employee mock someone who lost their car keys, saying, "Just use the find my car keys app--what a stupid person." Completely unprofessional. Management was also inconsistent. I was helping look for the lost keys and rolling around on a chair, which multiple employees and another manager were fine with. Then a different manager saw me and yelled at me in front of others instead of addressing it calmly or privately. To make things worse, there were broken candles and glass shards under the shelves, which is a serious safety hazard. Between the disrespectful comments, poor management behavior, and unsafe conditions, this was not a good experience. read more

When he noticed I was struggling with several very heavy pots, he immediately offered to help--without me even having to ask. Ben went and got a cart to make things easier, helped me get everything to the clerk's desk, and then out to my car. His attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond made a big difference, and I'm very appreciative of his kindness and initiative. read more

Keith Tindal (Glenn Mills HG Manager) is completely unfit for management. After a couple of hours and a few great finds, I proceeded to checkout with a full cart and some furniture items. A beautiful side table (the last one) had unbalanced legs and rocked so the cashier called the manager, Keith, who blatantly denied that it was rocking. He declined a discount which seemed strange with such an obvious imperfection but wasn't a big deal at all. I completed my nearly $1,200 purchase and proceeded to the door. And there stood Keith again. "Pull your car up and I'll help get you loaded." He said. Without hesitation I thanked him and left my cart next to my furniture. Upon pulling my truck up to the door, I noticed Keith had two items from my cart in his hands... By the time I walked in, he had returned them to my cart. Still internally pensive, I pushed the cart to my vehicle with Keith following behind "helping" me. Once outside, he points to a random stool in my cart and flat out asks, "Did you pay for that?".... "Go ask the cashier if I paid for it" I replied. He put my furniture down on the sidewalk, went in and confirmed with the cashier that I was in fact NOT stealing. It was at this point that I asked his name, and only then did Keith Tindall try desperately to apologize for his blatant and discriminatory accusation. There was absolutely no logical reason for the thought of me leaving the store with items I didn't pay for to enter his mind... It could have only been based in discrimination due to his own personal pre-existing prejudices. I can't imagine this man ever asking a white woman such a question. A person like this is dangerous in management and bad for business. After painful reflection on my full experience with this manager yesterday, I will be returning to the Glenn Mills location today for a full refund. I can not support a business that supports this kind of discriminatory treatment to customers, employees, or ANYONE. read more

They are having a 'sale'. After careful deliberation found a great deal on an area rug. Waited 5 minutes for an associate to come take it down for me. That's reasonable. I asked him is the sale price accurate, he said yes. The sale price (on a bright pink larger tag) was $129 and the tag price was $299. So another girl comes to help him 5 minutes later and the price is now $299. I asked to speak to a manger, waited another 20 minutes and the piece is $299. Not sure if any of these people have ever shopped with a toddler but it's not right to make someone wait 30 minutes and in my humble opinion bad business to not honor a price they put on the item. My sister and my mom would talk about Homegoods constantly, so by the time I came here, I was primed to hate it :-). Unfortunately (for my wallet)- I love it. Every now and then when I come here, I don't find much and I leave disappointed. Other times (like last weekend), my mom and I are rolling three shopping carts worth of furniture and goodies into the parking lot. According to my sister, an unofficial Homegoods expert, they receive a shipment of new items once a week. So if you go once and don't find what you're looking for, try again the next week! The parking lot can get a bit crazy, but there is always parking. The store itself always feels overwhelming and packed, and the store can get busy, but sorting through the unique items is part of the fun! Off the top of my head, this place carries unique food/drink items, lighting, furniture (ottomans, tables, chairs, etc.- I saw about 50 pieces I wanted last time!), kitchen and glassware, clothes, patio items, pillows, towels, mirrors, bath items... literally everything. The prices are normally quite reasonable, although there are a handful of overpriced items throughout the store. Last time I was here, I found two great furniture items (one, a blue distressed console table with glass doors, and the other a small trunk with 3 deep drawers), and both were priced about $150, which was a steal. Make sure to check everything over carefully- sometimes things are here and discounted for a reason (very obvious chips, a crack in a glass, etc.), sometimes you can't figure out why it's so cheap no matter how hard you look, but most of the time you will find some tiny flaw somewhere where it doesn't matter (ex. a scratch on the back of a bureau that nobody would ever see). A great place to come and wander around! Whether you're looking for something specific or not, you're likely to leave with a cart full of unique, moderately priced goodies that all your friends will be jealous of!!! read more

I went here looking for lights they had listed on the website. I had 12 lights I was looking for listed on the website and they didn't have a single one in stock. More annoying was the fact was that there was no order to the way the lights were arranged on the floor, it took 10 minutes to find a sales associate who could help me, and even she had no idea if the lights were in stock or not. Increasingly there has to be a compelling reason to come into a bricks and mortar store instead of shopping online and this store couldn't give a single compelling one (good customer service, well-stocked and easy to find physical merchandise listed on the website, good on-site sales) read more

This is my haven for decently priced decor. Other than thrifting, Homegoods seems to be more practical in their pricing than any other retail location. I'm glad to have this chain around. read more

Great selection! Huge combustion of Marshall's and Home Good's. Third time her and I need to move closer to this location. Lol. Decent selection of shoes, clothing and pet stuff. I am always looking for those treasure pieces. Puppy beds and lounge chairs won my heart. read more

Good selection of items for the home - actually it was jammed with stuff. Don't expect to get service here as it is a discount store connected to the Marshall's that focuses on clothing. Parking here is limited unless you want to walk a bit. read more

I am an absolute Marshalls/Homegoods fan!! This store is huge and you can find absolutely anything you want, and you don't have to pay full price! I came all the way up to this one from Wilmington, DE because my Marshalls, though great, is tiny compared to this one! I was able to find some kitchen things that I wasn't able to find in any other store I looked in, and some great new summer clothes! They have such a wide selection of everything, I spent hours in there and was not once bored. If you're looking for quality items at a great price, this is where you need to be. read more

Was so happy with the selection! I had never been to a home goods before and walked out with a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff. However, I wasn't so happy when I looked at one thing I bought...a shelf/drawer piece with one of the drawers not closing right.
