After getting to the store and giving my name and order number, the unfriendly manager told me that the shoes were being shipped to an address I haven't lived at for two years. I showed him the email confirmation that had the store information on it twice and he was less than helpful and kept implying that I got it shipped to that address. The only option was to cancel the order on shoes that are now out of stock. I'll never come to this DSW again. I understand accidents happen but the attitude on this manager is unacceptable.

I buy almost all of my shoes there. It is a great store and the people are very helpful.read more

Boscovs is one of those places that you kind of take for granted because it's always been there and…read moreit always will be there. There are a few things worth mentioning. The only thing that is perpetually negative and drives customers crazy Is the fact that they don't have enough Staff. When you go to a register you can never find anybody. When you walk the floor and find someone and ask for help you always hear "that's not my department " and they will walk away Telling you they will find someone to help you and they never do. So keeping that in mind you have to be assertive when you shop here. If you insist that they stay here and help you because you are a customer, they usually will. But you must be assertive. This is something that I've put up with for years because it's totally worth it shopping here. But its a total reduction of 1 star. - whenever they have a sale they have plenty of each item in stock. - Their items are of good and higher quality and don't break or fall apart. - Their jewelry department offers high-quality, beautiful pieces that when not on sale , are very reasonably priced. When you happen to catch a Sale in the jewelry department, which is fairly often per year- you can really walk away with a few steals and great bargains. I'm still wearing jewelry from the year 2000 that has held up. And for Valentine's Day this year I was gifted with two rings and two pair of earrings that are just so pretty. And I know he got great bargains on these pieces. - They still have a bona fide candy department with dozens and dozens of options. Their chocolate items are beyond compare because most are made by the legendary Asher candy company company. So if you're willing to endure long checkout lines due to reduced staff I believe you will find shopping here meet your needs.

A Personal Touch…read more Boyds is a unique format for a department store. It feels large but all the more small by the personal attention you receive upon walking in the door. This "attention" can be overwhelming at times depending upon the sales representative. If you're someone who has a crisp idea of what you want and prefer to shop in peace, you may find unwanted company. However, the passion the associates have to meet your exacting vision knows no bounds. On more than one occasion I've found myself texting/emailing with an associate regarding the most frivolous of products such as cufflinks. While many high-end fashion department stores have been unable to keep up with the change of consumer demand, it's nice to know Boyd remains a permanent fixture in the local community.
