Boscovs is one of those places that you kind of take for granted because it's always been there and it always will be there. There are a few things worth mentioning. The only thing that is perpetually negative and drives customers crazy Is the fact that they don't have enough Staff. When you go to a register you can never find anybody. When you walk the floor and find someone and ask for help you always hear "that's not my department " and they will walk away Telling you they will find someone to help you and they never do. So keeping that in mind you have to be assertive when you shop here. If you insist that they stay here and help you because you are a customer, they usually will. But you must be assertive. This is something that I've put up with for years because it's totally worth it shopping here. But its a total reduction of 1 star. - whenever they have a sale they have plenty of each item in stock. - Their items are of good and higher quality and don't break or fall apart. - Their jewelry department offers high-quality, beautiful pieces that when not on sale , are very reasonably priced. When you happen to catch a Sale in the jewelry department, which is fairly often per year- you can really walk away with a few steals and great bargains. I'm still wearing jewelry from the year 2000 that has held up. And for Valentine's Day this year I was gifted with two rings and two pair of earrings that are just so pretty. And I know he got great bargains on these pieces. - They still have a bona fide candy department with dozens and dozens of options. Their chocolate items are beyond compare because most are made by the legendary Asher candy company company. So if you're willing to endure long checkout lines due to reduced staff I believe you will find shopping here meet your needs. read more

Even in this bitter cold weather Chris Heeney was in the Optical department at 10:00 am when I arrived. He adjusted my glasses. I will be buying new glasses soon so I tried on some frames and asked him to suggest some styles for me. He picked out frames and gave his opinion when I asked. I have been buying my glasses from Boscovs for many years now. Although I wasn't purchasing glasses today, Chris treated me with warmth, friendliness, and respect. He admitted that he operates the department 6 days a week. Boscovs Optical is a department owned by another company. He deserves a raise and recognition for his exceptional service and reliability. read more

I love Boscovs! I can not get out of this store without buying several items of clothing. There are always Sales and a great Selection of quality tops, pants, sun dresses and dressy dresses there. I am alway getting Compliments on my clothing and so Boscov's is the only place I shop! read more

Here is my story: In Sept 2020 I stopped by at Boscov's Optical in Media PA to purchase reading glasses. I admit, I was enticed by their advertisements of buy two pairs for $99.99. It was a big mistake... There is no such thing of 2 pairs for $99.99. It is a total scam. I figured that I would give it a try, I ordered two reading pairs and two sunglass pairs. I paid for expedited shipping so I can get them early. Again a big mistake. One of the pairs took over 5 weeks to get in. I was not refunded the money as COVID was the blame. So in October 2020 one pair came in and it had the wrong frame. They sent it back and few more weeks pass by and I am getting the pair just to realize the glasses I received weren't mine. They reprocessed the order and few more weeks later and by now it's January 2021 the glasses arrive however they do not have my prescription strength. Once again they returned them back and this time it came with a different frame. At this point one of the pairs worked fine so I gave up trying to address the issue of the other three pairs. Sometimes early spring, I noticed they changed managers so I tried once again to address the other three pairs that are not mine (or at least they have wrong prescription strengths). All these three pairs are blurry and I cannot use. So the new manager reluctantly took them in and has processed them again. Same results I cannot use them, blurry again. So I gave up until today Aug 2021, almost a year later and since I have warranty I figured I will try once again. This time, the same manager told me categorically that nothing can be done. he cannot help me. Furthermore the manager said that all these times, Boscov's was trying to accommodate me and perhaps I am the one to be blamed here. He even eluded that perhaps I am the one that changed the prescription. read more

Finally, a store with a high selection for men clothes and good quality. Normally I have to go to different stores to get Everything I need. Not today!!! Even better Was the 24 hr holiday hours. I could not sleep so I went at 7 in the morning. They had people that were nice and professional. Thank you Boscov's. Come to think about it! I went to wrong store I meant to go to Kohl's. I do know if they had 24 hours open but Kohl's did I looked them up online. I was wondering why I did not get some Kohl's cash. Smh read more

Went to Boscovs and the place was so out of place due to the store preparing to close. The sales were amazing because everything was practically super cheap. The retail associates was very attentive and there to help you every step of the way. Overrall I came out great and dad that they are closing. read more

Love Boscov's and the Granite Run location has very nice sales associates (one girl was especially kind to me when buying a purse this past weekend). Shopping here takes me back to a place and time when Sears and Penney's dominated the landscape as opposed to Walmart and Target. Mom loved Boscov's too and although she's gone, being in the store gives me that old familiar feeling of shopping with mom again. This is a nice Boscov's that was attached to the Granite Run Mall until it closed down. Boscov's is my go-to for curtains and dresses for dances for my girls mainly, but they have a lot of other good stuff at pretty good deals. read more

I am rarely disappointed with Boscov's, generally. I appreciate that the merchandise is kept neat and generally orderly (despite shoppers who just leave stuff wherever they feel like). Other chains' employees seem to think keeping their department organized isn't in the job description. With the elderly population swelling, there are many of us who depend on Boscov's for a decent selection of well-fitting, conservative clothes for our parents without the hassle of online ordering, returning, etc. Thank you, Boscov's. I have always preferred Boscovs, I think they have great selections and great prices too!, however I have asked or requested the manager and district manager to please put the benches back out front and the few you had inside the front doors. I have seen a need for them EVERYTIME I go. I now see people pushing sweaters or different items aside so they can rest on the displays! Please put a few chairs and or benches where they were? Maybe a small coffee shop too lol read more

I was in the store for the first time, with my mother-in-law and I loved it! I have not seem a department store like this in a very long time. They had great variety and even better prices! I found things on my shopping list that I never expected to find there and wouldn't have even in Macy's. Looking forward to my next shopping trip. read more

I have always loved this store. Do most of my Xmas shopping here but unfortunately won't be returning again. I am very upset with the wrapping staff and how unfriendly the cashiers are. A lot of people were getting wrapping but I only needed boxes, well they still insisted that I wait in line for them (even though last time I was there they would just give them so you wouldn't have to wait in line). read more
