I was never a Costco shopper--growing up, my family had memberships to competitor warehouse stores. But after having kids, Costco became a game changer. They have been one of my reliable go-to spots for diapers and wipes, as well as many other kid medications and staples like milk and formula. Costco has also become a convenient place to pick up rotisserie chicken--for my family and to share with my dogs! Yes, a lot of the other items are in giant portion sizes that are hard for a small family to finish. But there are plenty of gems. In particular, at this Costco, I like to pick up the fresh poke. Occasionally there is even sashimi. I wrote another review about having a great experience at the tire center. Overall, Costco is where you go to get some of the most competitive values out there. Because they order in bulk, they can provide extremely reasonable price to customers. You also know that you're getting quality, instead of rolling the dice with some unknown online merchant sourcing from who knows where. Bought an organic pillow. It came wrapped in plastic with someone's black hair all throughout, clearly used. I am disgusted that Costco re-stocks used bedding items. I called customer service - they transferred me around and then left me ringing and ringing then the call hung up with no one ever answering. Now I have to go out of my way to drive back in and wait in line to return a USED pillow - which is not even legal to resell. It could contain bed bugs, bodily fluids, etc. read more

Costco is the best store ever invented. The best thing about it is the quality quality quality. I know that anything I buy here is really good and if it ends up being of poor quality or not satisfactory, costcos got a very fair refund policy. I am a huge Costco fan. This is my first time at this location. It's a smaller location. When I went it wasn't super crowded which is rare for a Saturday afternoon. Minimal samples today but that's always hit or miss. So many great deals. I had to get my $2 pizza slice. read more

Never order anything to ship that is higher value. Costco not only requires a signature at delivery, but they "freeze" the tracker number. You cannot get shipment alerts, you cannot schedule a time, fedx, when called is forbidden to provide any info about the shipment. Fedx tried to deliver 2 1/2 hours prior to the provided original delivery window. We got a door tag with info to reschedule. The door tag (since fedx forbidden to provide info to customer) is not usable or traceable by customer. So here we sit, at home, 12 hours, waiting for fedx. Will they show? Who knows. This Costco was pretty good. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It started the friendly greeter and also when leaving the store. It was clean, brightly lit, and well organized. We found what we couldn't find in our local, poorly stocked warehouse-- with rude staff who talk with each other while working, eat the samples before the customer, has overcrowded, cramped parking with dirty carts - and unkind and unfriendly customers; folks be happy with this one!! Sometimes you don't realize what you have. I was in the area about 126 miles away from home to find adequate parking, a nice selection of eyeglass frames, vitamins, and more! [893] 11/2019 This Costco location is not close to my home so each time I visit with a friend I'm happy for this treat. Plenty of parking. This location is huge so I'm able to find all sorts of treats for my family. My favorite part of this location is that I can stop in and pick up items for a party. I don't have to preorder as they have a large selection of items to choose from. I picked up salmon, shrimp platters, cheese platters, chips, drinks, oversized pumpkin pies and a whole lot of other items. I can't wait to return. I just wish I had a closer location. The employee's name is Chris.(Executive worker) I have already been confirmed by my staff to calculate my information. nevertheless The staff Chris came to me and confirmed that this card was really mine. I told him that my information was already confirmed ... I asked again why I check it again, He does not answer, His attitude was very rude, It was aggressive, I showed bad feelings about Asian. I was first at a giant store and I couldn't believe their prices. Everything was more expensive than I'm used to. So I went to Costco. Wow this Costco is more amazing than the one back home. I had about 10 different samples, and I Like the way the store is organized. So much parking and gas was soooo cheap as always. The store was incredible busy and long lines for everything , which I was not expecting and I constantly heard people crash into each other's cart. I had a nail in my tire that triple a said was fixable. I went to other auto shops and all of them said they were unable to fix the tire and that I would need to buy four new tires. I took my car to Costco for the new tires. I paid for them and they said it'll be ready in a couple hours. I received a call from Costco saying "we just looked at your tire with the nail in it. We can definitely fix that. We will refund you for the tires. The tires that you have are still very good." Kudos for Costco in Glen Mills! I've ordered tires online and The installers checked out my tires and suggested I wait as my treads were not ready to be replaced. It's funny because it was recommended by a mechanic at time of car inspection at the car Dealer. Costco tech states they are not paid on commission and their opinion is not based on sales rather an honest evaluation of my tires. Well, we've saved the environment and bought more time on my tires! I really like this location and only this one. The store is always clean and very organised. Everyone in there are very friendly and nice to you. I noticed that every Costco location have a different assortment and the Glen Mills location fits most of my needs. The gas prices are always lower than everywhere around. An open letter to all checkout employees of Costco Glen Mills, not just Rob with the arm tattoos. His conduct is not unique, and represents the general checkout process at most Costco stores. I am sorry that you find instacart shoppers annoying. I am sorry that we have multiple orders. I am sorry that some of us are doing this for the first time. When we go into your store to shop for the products your customers have requested, we don't only earn our part of the proceeds. The majority, often over 90%, of the total bill spent, goes to your employer. This money pays for your wages, your breaks and your perks. I am not a nuecense in your store. Most of my orders represent 2, if not 3 customers' orders. So when I do my multiple order checkout, I easily represent 10 or more people. Instead of families bringing all 3 generations into the store, half of them screaming, half of them being barely able to walk, they are condensed to yours truly. This reduces crowding in your stores and parking lots, ultimately making your job less hectic. When I am at your checkout, I directly represent your customers. I am myself, a customer of Costco. I know for a fact, as a regular shopper both privately, and for hire, that you would never treat me the way you treat an instacart shopper. Once you've determined that I am NOT with instacart, which is now your first question, patience and respect are your virtue. The same cannot be said for your fellow professionals, out in the field, trying to make bills. You are impatient and frankly, rude. Perhaps because you know our time frame does not allow for a complaint to management. So when I ask you to please keep my 2 orders separate, and put the 8 items up in the top of my cart, like I had them at the beginning of checkout, before your impatient, hormone driven angst to get me through checkout kicked in, I should have not heard in reply: "I'll put them where I put them", with that snide ass, shit eating grin on your face. You're lucky you were at work, boy. Instead, please offer to move the fuck out of the way. We are more than happy to do your job for you, and pack our own damn cart. Please, just go on break. Seriously. I am sorry for my language, but frankly, I'm tired of being treated this way. To reiterate, Rob with the arm tattoos from Glen Mills, PA is not the only one, though he was the final straw. I normally frequent small businesses whenever possible. But on special occasions, I go to one of the warehouse stores, such as when I host a major party, or when I'm replacing all my provisions for my ski condo in the beginning of the ski year. That' s when I go to Costco. No, don't ask me to enter the "W" store. I'd rather eat my shoe leather than enter a center of exploitation of the common man. Having said that, Costco is my special place when I have to patronize a large store. I have been a Costco member for over 20 years and it has been a great partnership. I particularly like their business model of taking care of their employees through higher wages and health benefits. You keep the employees happy and they'll do good for the business and the customers will reap benefits. This Costco is smaller than the ones you'd find in Virginia or Maryland, perhaps one reason being the medieval liquor laws in Pennsylvania. You don't find a huge wine section here like you'll find in Arlington VA. Their meat section and frozen foods area is the rage. Amazing. Selective cart search - Minority Costco Member Glen Mills Location For the second time after spending hundreds of dollars at this location, we were selected out of all customers to have our cart checked and all our items counted. Not a problem if this is their policy for all customers. Both times a number of other customers before and after us, with large and small purchases did not have their carts searched or items counted. We were randomly selected the first time after being checked out by an employee (all items scanned and paid for) and today by an employee at the self checkout line who made a mistake and did not scan a case of water (not aware of this until items were counted). Upon leaving, a representative aaked if she could check our cart. I said of course. Aftwr watching every other customee yet again carts and items not being checked our counted, I asked why our cart was being checked and not other customers and the young lady checking our cart said, "I know I'm not sure, just doing my job" I asked to speak to the manager, Nick who said that they try to get every customer and that he cannot speak for everybody and that they do this for self checkout, but again this has happened to us twice regardless of being in self checkout and we were ringed up by an employee both times. Nick kept saying the same thing as we continued to watch other customers go freely without getting their cart items counted. Nick could not explain Costco's policy. Costco you are selecting only certain customers carts to search. We already pay for a membership to even enter and buy items from your store. Just recently spent a combined $800 for tires and groceries. This was not handled well by Nick, the manager, making excuses for the mistake of an employee and noting how customers are not randomly selected when even during this conversation we watched customers continue to pass by without the cart being checked. LOVE Costco! So many great items at great prices. Love all the samples as well - it's nice to be able to try things before you spend your money on them. The bathrooms at this location could use a little work though - several of the stalls don't have a place to hang your purse, and you can't put it on the floor, so that made things pretty uncomfortable. A huge place that should have everything you need...why is it that there is always something that makes sense that they just don't have.

I realize that this goes against everything America stands for, but I really don't like Costco. This puts me in some sort of freakish minority, but I just can't stand it. Before I explain why I don't like Costco: people who like Costco will probably like this location. I've been in a few other locations, and this one is a good size- I've seen bigger but it's not too small. They have just about everything I remember seeing in other Costcos, except the wine/beer they carry in other states (Pennsylvania liquor law fail). They also have electronics, a bakery, jewelry, and everything between. The rules are the same here as everywhere else- you need a membership ($55/year) and they only take cash, debit cards, and AmEx credit cards. They have someone check your membership card on the way in, and someone check your receipt against your cart on your way out (they also don't bag your stuff). They also have a gas station which fairly cheap gas. Now, why I don't like Costco: the place is huge. Like, depressingly huge. Nothing is organized, and there are no signs anywhere. I spent ages yesterday trying to find Chex Mix. I had to search 3 or 4 areas with chip-related items, which were spread out all over the store. I couldn't find it anywhere, and I asked multiple people on staff who gave me different answers. After about an hour, I decided this store doesn't carry Chex Mix. Lovely. Also, when we checked out, the cashier told us that two things in our cart were BOGO. Of course, there were no signs anywhere telling us that. I had to run back to the bakery to pick up seconds of both items. I couldn't find one item anywhere (I even asked multiple people in the bakery and they didn't know where they were). The floor was slippery, so even though I was trying to hustle I could only walk so fast, and my mom was just awkwardly waiting for me at the checkout line. Costco does carry things significantly cheaper than other places. But also significantly bigger. Do you really need 24 muffins? Or 2.5 pounds of mixed nuts? 99% of the time- no. They also have a small product selection for those of us who are picky about things- yes, they have 2.5 pounds of mixed nuts, but only one brand to choose from. Yes, they have cheap deodorant and facial cleanser and moisturizer, but again, only one or two brands of each, none of which I use. I guess people who care more about size/price than brand don't care about this. And of course, there is the free samples. I hate how people fawn over and attack the free samples as if they haven't eaten in months. I find this depressing, even though I occasionally see interesting things being offered. As far as the clientele in the store, they fall into one of two categories: aggressive or oblivious. By the time I left, I was in a bad mood and never wanted to see another person again. Also, depending on the day and time you go, the time to checkout seems to range from 0 minutes to 30 minutes. Overall, I guess I understand why people like Costco. Some of their food, such as the meats and bakery, are cheap and of good quality. The larger quantities are convenient if you have a big family or if you are having a dinner party. I just can't get past the unorganized and inefficient systems (the way they stock their products, the lack of signs or organization, the person at the door checking your cart, etc.), and the masses of people who shop here. For most people, the pros may outweigh the cons, so if you're interested, give it a try. But I know it's just not for me. read more

My family visits this Costco a lot. Employees checking cards at front door are always nice, other employees throughout the store are helpful, when it comes to check out that area needs help. More employees on deck with open checkouts. Variety is nice and always changing. The area where the granola bars are should be moved to make more area for checkout space/lines. Location could use more cart employees to make sure customers always have a cart to grab when walking into store. When it comes to Costco and like any other store it is the other shoppers that get annoying and make it not enjoyable. Customers stand in the middle of aisles, parents lets their kids run around and people are delusional of what it means to get out of the way. Will continue to come back as always read more

Went to Costco today for last-minute shopping. I heard the lady that checks your membership card say on her walkie talkie 204 guests. Thought to myself that is amazing this place is empty on 12/24 and it was. My mother and I walk through did our shopping and was out within 30 minutes. The shelves at the store always nicely stacked. I also like the bat when checking out they put the meat in little plastic bags. read more

We love Costco and this is our favorite location. Their tissues, paper towels, trash bags, water bottles, cleaning supplies, napkins, diapers and wipes are some of the beat deals around. And since they come in bulk that means less shopping trips!!! You can almost always find some good deals on clothes from brands like lucky, splendid, adidas or Calvin Klein. Their food section has a ton of great produce, frozen foods, dry goods and much more. You can always find unique items you may not find at your local grocery stores. They have a nice toy section for the kids which is especially nice during the holidays. They sometimes have good deals on beauty products that I use. Last time I was there they had SK-II! We also love their fleece blankets and they are priced lower than stores like target(which I also love lol). Every time we go, we also find something we weren't expecting. Love this place! read more

I had a bad experience one evening here. Costco is a long drive for me. I got in the door before closing. I was taking my time looking at some of the furniture. I started on my way to the back of the store (like all stores they put the essentials in the back so you have go by everything else to get there). However there was a man posted at about where the books are preventing me from going to the back of the store, stating that they were now closed. I thought since I made it inside before closing I would be ok. I tried to get through on the other side and there was another man posted. I respect their operating hours but this is kind of extreme. It was only 830pm and most places close at 9pm. An hour of driving was wasted as well as my whole evening. There was no announcement to get your final items like at most stores. I was very dissatisfied and will try to purchase similar items via Amazon fresh from now on. I know Costco likes to bully their suppliers but I will not tolerate feeling like they don't value my business. read more

To Randy, Concordville Costco store manager Yesterday, I went to the Concordville, PA Costco to pick up my 5 prescriptions at the pharmacy. When I came home, I realized I had not shown my RX discount card. I did not open the Costco bag with my 5 prescriptions. I decided to return & see what could be done. So I returned to Costco today with the bag of medications & my RX discount card. The manager. Anna W, helped me. I apologized for my forgetfulness on showing my Rx card, & told her my problem. I showed her my RX discount card, & she said she had 3 prescriptions to fill before she could check my order. She asked me to return in 1/2 hour. I roamed around Costco, & went back 1/2 hr later. Anna was working at a computer when I returned. Another person in the Rx said she would be with me shortly. Anna came to talk with me 5 minutes later. She had been working on my new pricing, & had everything figured out for the discount! I apologized once again. She kept saying it was not any bother to her, & was glad she could figure it out. Somehow our card information had been deleted from Costco's records! Anna recalculated pricing on all 5 prescriptions, & deducted the difference from my bill!. She was one of the most pleasant & proficient sales persons I've had in a long time! You have a great sales manager in the pharmacy! Treat her well, she is doing an amazing job! Nancy H. read more

today December 7, 2020 I was so disappointed at the stores covid safety. The store is large, staff is wearing gloves...however when you go to pay both lines are filtered right next to each other. There is plexiglass blocking the cashiers but you are funneled into a 3 foot space with the customer next to you while you pay. Hello everyone -to my Yelp Family. I visited Costco for the first time in my life today as a Personal Shopper for Instacart. I have been shopping since July of this year. I really enjoy it!! Its one of my side hustles. I get to meet nice people, the customers that I shop for and I enjoy adventures, I get to drive to places that I have never been. Some of my customers have beautiful homes and I enjoy shopping for them and delivering the groceries to their respective homes. My experience at Costco started out good. I realized that I am not a member, but my customer, James, is. I showed the membership on my Instacart app to the Costco associate who was stationed at the front door. She smiled and waved me on. I proceeded to look at the items that my customer, James requested. It was only 7 items and I proceeded to shop. The store is super huge and it is clean and neat!! I enjoyed myself immensely, just walking around the store. I was able to locate most of the items on the list. The ones that I couldn't locate, I asked the store personnel. Everyone was super nice - the associates. I also enjoyed tasting the various samples that they had throughout the store. I hadn't had any lunch, so the samples were my lunch. Simply divine!!! I was finally finished shopping and I headed to the checkout line. I opted for the self-service check out. It was super fast and there were not many other customers in line. I waited in line and then it was my turn to checkout James' order. First I had to scan the membership card again, which was on my phone, in the Instacart app. It wouldn't scan and then I asked the associate that was stationed for assistance. He had been eyeing me the whole time. I felt very uncomfortable around him, especially like it seemed he didn't trust me. I told him I needed assistance with scanning the membership on the phone, because it would not scan. He gave me a strange look and looked at the membership on the phone and suggested that I get the app. I said no, because this is someone else's order and that I am a Personal Shopper for Instacart. He acted like he didn't believe me. I said to him, you are acting like I'm a criminal! He reacted and said, "I am not supposed to be doing this, " but he used his access to grant me access so that I could proceed to pay for the groceries with the Instacart card. He acted like he was doing me a favor! I was incensed when I left Costco!!!! I was so embarrassed!!! People were looking at me like I was a troublemaker! I was shopping for my Instacart customer!!! I have not mentioned the associate's name here, because I do not want to throw him under the bus, like he threw me under the bus!!! However I decided to write this review and alert other customers to be aware if this same situation should happen to them!! Thank goodness, the gentleman stationed at the front of the store who checks receipts was hospitable. I explained what just happened to me and he was not happy!! He said if it wasn't for customers like me, that associate would not have a job. Also I encountered another nice gentleman when leaving Costco. So not everyone in the world is distrustful!!!! Needless to say I will return again and this situation is not going to deter or prevent me from shopping for Instacart customers or shopping for myself.
