Food court outside

Wowza. I think this is the biggest Costco I have had the pleasure of shopping at. I've shopped Costco all over the U.S. and Canada and they still need to continue to grow. I still find myself driving 2 hrs to get to one. We just happened to be in New Orleans and toke advantage of getting my Costco fix. We got to the store about 10 minutes of opening and stood in line with others. The store was almost 10 minutes late opening as we watched staff hauling loads of plants outside. This store had a lot of gluten free items and I wish I had more time to look around. I spent over $600 as it was as I loaded up for my Winter condo in FL 4 hrs away. Cant beat the fresh produce, rotisserie chicken and chicken noodle soup. We decided to have the Costco hot dog and drink and the food court was located outside the store in an open roofed area. We got our fix and went on our way.

I've been to Costco in Alabama, California, Hawaii and this location in New Orleans. This is my favorite. Maybe I'm partial because I love this city and it's people. The aisles are fully stocked with merchandise. Frozen food section are plentiful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cashiers are always friendly and helpful and that's a plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A number of years ago I got my prescription glasses from Costco. These glasses are stylish, high quality and I liked them better than the ones sold at the ophthalmologist's office. Not to mention they were around 1/3 off the retail cost. I'm thinking I might rejoin my membership at Costco just because I might need a new prescription in a few months. Same applies for the tires for my car. I don't currently need to replace them, but Costco is a great place to get them. Costco is a membership warehouse. Most items are sold in bulk. While it is typically a bad idea to go grocery shopping before eating a meal, I think Costco is the exception to the rule. I recently made a quick stop here with some friends who I was visiting, while I was pretty hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was given so many samples, that they basically fed me a meal. From chips and guacamole, to cheese, grilled chicken, flavored water, and even a truffle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wasn't hungry any more. You can supply your whole home with Costco. They have furniture, appliances, grocery, electronics and everything else you could think of. I do wish more of the items were regular sized and not bulk.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was delicious and fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very greasy if you're looking for something high in calories

So this was my very first visit to Costco. I have a Sam's membership but after visiting Costco it's basically the same store but I can say Costco appears to have a few more selections when it comes to prepackaged meals which it a hit for moms if a quick fix meal is needed. After shopping we stopped at the cafe and I had to try the oh so popular Chicken Bake....absolutely not. I'm not sure what I expected but it definitely wasn't what I expected. The bread has this kind of cheese baked on top of it which was pretty decent. Now on to the inside - I'm going to be completely honest, I'm not sure what is inside of it. I want to say it's chicken, bacon, some sort of cheese sauce or maybe like an Alfredo. I'm not sure but it's a no for me. I definitely will be back to pick up a few items.

How nice that there's a Costco in Nola! We stopped by while visiting New Orleans on a roadtrip. It's located a bit off the usual suburb/nicer area but the gas station and store is pretty accessible unlike some other locations that have pretty convoluted routing to enter their parking lot. Their gas station is missing the 3x pump setup, which would definitely help turnaround time.

I love these thermals and they are on sale!!

Giant parking lot. The food court is outside. And the gas station is open earlier and later than the warehouse proper.

For the price, you can't beat it. Nothing is great but where else are going to find those prices

I've only been here a few times since they opened because I'm a Sam's club member and Sam's closer to where I live.

It's a normal convenience store in many respects, but a memory from a long-ago Super Bowl visit…read morebrought me back...for the food (the fact that it is literally around the corner from our Airbnb did not hurt, either). The memory in question was about a catfish poboy wherein I ordered it and the cashier washed her hands, dredged a fresh catfish filet through an egg wash and cornmeal, prepped the roll, and voila! It was heavenly. 12+ years later, the menu only said "fish" poboy sandwich. If you're a catfish purist like myself, that's a red flag, so I went with the fried chicken. My wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich despite the geographical incongruity. Both were outstanding, and I can't recommend the kitchen enough.

They were frying up a new batch when we arrived so we waited about 15 minutes but SOOO WORTH! The chicken from the fresh batch was fried to optimal crispiness and juiciness and it was also perfectly seasoned. I don't think there's another place that tops the fried chicken here. On our road trip back from NYC to LA, the only place we stopped at in New Orleans was this spot again. It can't top the time we got it fresh, but if there's anywhere you have to stop by in New Orleans, I gotta say it's this unassuming gas station with the most gas fried chicken.

In my last year and a half of nonstop travel, I have continually sought out convenience stores and…read moreespecially their cashiers or clerks - because I used to be one myself and because I think they are among the most unsung and underpaid essential workers in our society. In that great search for the perfect convenience store and the greatest cashier, Adel - a 30ish, bearded, Middle Eastern-looking guy who cashiers at this store - is perhaps the coolest and most memorable character I have encountered. He is so laid-back and so quintessentially himself that I assumed, at first, that his supremely flowing presence had to be chemically assisted. Talking to him, you think you have just walked into a Cheech and Chong movie or the great Clerks movie. But when I very playfully mimicked his singing way of speech and his rhythmic way of moving his body as he talked - to ask him if he maybe was just a little bit high - he responded "No" with such calm, happy authority that I now believe him. I think he has just so totally surrendered to being his own quirky self that he doesn't talk like anybody I have ever encountered who was straight. Because he looked Middle Eastern to me and because so many cashiers in these stores are Middle Eastern, I probed for his ethnicity. "Where were you born, Adel? Were you maybe born in India?" In reply, he said the simple word "No" as if he had just delivered me a very important password. "So were you maybe born in Pakistan?" He gave me a big wink and a look of great happiness as he simply said, "No." "Were you born on this planet?" He looked like he was handing me a big yellow rose as he happily exclaimed, "Yes." "Well where on this planet were you born?" "NewYork." It was clear that I was not going to get any information about his ethnicity. Maybe he doesn't have any. Maybe he is simply Adel and nothing else. He clearly defies categorization. I returned to the store today, mostly because I wanted to see Adel again. I bet lots of people go into that store to have these magical encounters with him. He did not disappoint. If his state of consciousness was altered yesterday, it was altered in exactly the same way today. I'm pretty sure blood tests would show him clean. He's just one of the most delightfully odd guys I have ever met. I love him!

Every1 listen up. I think my dads gone crazy. This is legitimately the best coffee in New Orleans…read moreor possibly in the state. I now go to this location almost daily because the coffee tastes so excellent and they have creamer. They also sell drinks and chips and gas station standards but trust me, I'd put their coffee up against the finest cafes in Italy and France and Arkansas. I subtract one star because everyone is really mean or begs you for money or tries to sell you drugs. There is glass between the cash register so you don't have to worry about the corona virus there. Love it!!
