The young lady working yesterday was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. I brought in two snake plants to be repotted, and she took the time to explain that the second plant needs a little more time to establish a stronger root system before being repotted. She recommended that I come back in a couple of days so we can repot it properly rather than rushing the process. I really appreciated her expertise and willingness to make sure my plants were taken care of the right way. Between the wonderful customer service and beautiful selection of plants, I'm looking forward to bringing my plants here for all of my future plant needs!

What a nice treat it was to visit We Bite! I came for a plant workshop that centered learning about…read moredifferent carnivorous plants. Carlos, the owner was so welcoming to my sibling and I. He walked us around the shop and answered all of our questions about the best pots/plant pairing for our the small bog gardens we were going to create. I forgot to get his colleagues names but they led us through a step by step workshop for adding and packing soil into our pots, drainage systems and tubes and what works best for particular pots and allowed time and space for us each to arrange our gardens. I personally made one for my Mother who I will be able to share with her on Mother's day. This was the perfect outing because it was short and sweet and who doesn't love basking in the presence of all the plants! I loved walking around the shop and admiring the variety if plants and I give the shop and thumbs up for honoring covid-19 protocols and having customers mask up during the entire workshop. They even went above and beyond to give each small group their own table and work space! Looking forward to more workshops this Spring and Summer. They also have a cool "sale" section with an assorted of plants which was neat to poke around in. I'll definitely be back.

Full disclosure ive never bought plants from Palm Garden and never will. My experience was with the Owners themselves. I have no idea who ya'll were after Hurricane Ida destroyed New Orleans and the Owners called me panicking saying their apartment rental buildings in Harahan needed a tarp. Keep in mind most workers and construction workers were still not even back in town yet working. But my company Green country Rooftops was. My wife and I rode the storm out in Metairie and i immediately started working again with limited resources and power still not restored yet. My phone was ringing off the hook with friends, family, & former clients all reaching out for emergency tarp services. Despite the immense demand, I actually had sympathy for the Owners and they sounded desperate and in need. Not to mention the fact they probably had numerous tentants at the mercy of keeping rain from destroying their contents. With that being said, I moved them to top off list and immediately bought tarp materials and personally drove myself and my crew to the job. We installed one full building tarp and the other building tarp we installaed a partial. I charged bare minimum for labor not even $500 and provided them my material receipts. After the work was complete, I had to track these people down like dogs to get payment. They came up with one excuse after the other. One such excuse was they were waiting for approval and they havent heard back from their insurance. The ONLY reason they paid is because i had to go public and damage their character and call them out. Stupid me for actually thinking i would help these people and actually be a hero and gain a new client. The fact of the matter is that they already had a "regular" roofer but guess what.... he couldnt get to them because he was too busy !!!! So much for Loyalty !!!! He ditched ya'll and fortunate for me i came to rescue because it seemed like the right thing to do. The only thing we cant control in this world is reciprocity and you guys sure didnt have any. Finally got payment but took FOREVER totally not worth my time or my company's time. Good luck this storm season wish you guys the best no hard feelings. The only reason you responded back to me is because I called ya'll out for not paying on a review for your business. Otherwise you guys had zero intention of paying me.

My BFF, whom I hadn't seen since before the pandemic began lived in town. The owner responded in the comments to my enthusiasm for the meet up and was genuinely excited to give us this opportunity We arrived where this urban gem was parked and set off to meet the owner and her kids that are a part of this mobile, pandemic-safe, outdoor, well-ventilated mini "happening" business. Amazing skill has gone into every inch of the presentation of this converted shuttle bus, just as every plant is lovingly and beautifully-tended plant which you could purchase. As a gardener, I was floored by the diversity and rarity of some of the plants. You'll never see some of these outside a catalog or Pinterest. Incredibly knowledgeable and generous with her time, the whole family is involved with this progressive and innovative business that gives back in both spirit, beauty and a free plant. I got to met Tabitha and her daughter today at St. Roch Market! They were both really lovely…read morepeople!  Tabitha is the owner of this business, and she is SO helpful and knowledgeable about all of her plants!  She gave me some great tips on how to care for them. She always gives people her business card to make it easier to contact her if you go home and find yourself with more questions! The business was transported to the market via bus.  This was a cute silver bus with the inside renovated to become a little showroom for plants! Absolutely adorable. There were numerous types of plants there of all different sizes, but I got a mint and pothos plant (complimentary with my Yelp Elite Perk).  I also purchased a bigger bromeliad plant as well with a beautiful orange bloom.  They all look super well-taken care of and healthy!  Cross my fingers, I'm hoping they stay that way once I get them home! I didn't see all of the prices on the plants, but from what I saw, they were reasonably priced.  A lot of them were under $10. I'd spend that much buying plants from a big box store, but getting it from Tabitha, the plants are probably in better shape for the same price. Plus, it's always nice to go local!

We turned into an almost overgrown path/driveway and slowly made our way down. Every 40-50 feet, there was a sign encouraging us to keep going. We figured this could be really cool or we were setting ourselves up for getting slaughtered...but hey, it was Black Friday so it was appropriate, I guess. We finally get to a parking spot that told us to honk...we we did. A large man in a mask ran to the car, with a pick-axe overhead and put it firmly into The Girly's skull. So I jumped back Into the car and drove for help. Ok, not really. We were greeted warmly and shown around the grounds by Bradley, who told us the grounds and house were used in over 70 feature films. Seems it's the perfect spot for horror movies. The house perfectly encapsulates a Gulf style Old South 1800s mansion. As for the nursery; their specialties are exotics, gingers, and plants made for growing well in this area. Bradley's family has been running the business since the 1800s and are responsible for many of the oak trees lining the neutral zones of the city. The prices are quite low for what they offer and we really wish we'd had cash because they had one of the most beautifully fragrant flowering ginger plants we've ever seen. Really looking forward to going back. A fun experience and really friendly service. P.S. be brave and follow the signs.
