As soon as you walk in the door you feel like you're home. The women in the shop are so kind and very knowledgeable about all of the different plants, home made jewelry, candles, etc. there are literally many different services offered in the business. And the prices are amazing. Beautiful place.

I was prompted to visit this facility for a social media event and once inside the Crazy Plant Bae store I saw so many beautiful plants and items that caught my attention; til I thought, I just might be able to work on my "green thumbery" with some help from Crazy Plant Bae!!!! And so starts my journey... As I walked around, I couldn't help but to notice the different variety of plants; the different shapes, the different sizes, the only thing that they all had in common was they all were green... Which is a plus because green means life in this arena but I digress. Crazy Plant Bae, as she is affectionately called, was super enthusiastic, energetic, loving and super duper quadruple knowledgeable about all things plants. My intention was to GET THEE AN ALOE, since I lost my last one, Ode to Agatha. As I stated, I was here for a social media event, so I got a baby aloe, Agatha 2.0 is her name & Sally the snake plant. I'm not at all crazy about snakes or any affiliation with them, but Sally the snake plant was too cute to pass up. Crazy Plant Bae was very helpful in my selection of plants. She said, "get one that speaks to you" & that's exactly what I did, Agatha 2.0 & Sally. Crazy Plant Bae provided knowledge about the origin of the plants, the care required, the dos & don'ts, repotting concerns, health benefits to humans, soil requirements etc... wow, so much information, who knew, not me, I'll tell you that. I was glad to have met Crazy Plant Bae, she was a doll, very knowledgeable about plants and she helped me to gain a comfort level with my plants that will aid to long life for them. #blackownedbusiness #CrazyPlanetBae #PostCOVIDpandemic #IwilldevelopaGREENthumb

picked up these beautiful plants from the outdoor market at @coffeesciencenola and I can't explain the psychology behind it, but they make me so happy and feel at home when looking at them dispersed around my house . Pray for me that I don't kill these and that I can be an adequate plant dad.

Beautiful space, nice selection and wonderful staff. I picked up a few house plants and found great conversation as well. I love the location and how easy it is to shop here. Often plant shops are sprawling yards or packed greenhouses. This was more of a retail/boutique environment. They ladies were available to assist and answer any questions. They also provided me with an online resource for plant maintenance when I left. CPB is definitely my go to house plant resource.

Pot, plant all from their selection.

I love this store... had a great green house-tropical-terrarium-earthy vibe, really interesting plants, pots, merchandise from local vendors.

I visited this beautiful plant shop in it's older location on Claiborne Ave last year and was excited to learn about the opening of the new location. The space is spacious, decorative - with every type of plant you could imagine from pathos to succulents, to large potted birds of paradise and a variety of hanging plants and air plants. Teresa's knowledge around plant care is so helpful and I appreciate her willingness to build a plant loving community. She opens her doors for folks to bring in their own plants for repotted as well as care advice. I have recently visited the shop to attended yoga classes which as been an incredible warming experience. To be surrounded by the beautifully curated plants and flow in my yoga practice has been the start to the New Year that I needed. The shop will soon have a lounge space that with surely keep me coming back to basks in all special plant vibes the shop has to offer. All plants Al have prices labeled in them and there are pots and other plant care sprays for sale at the shop as well. It's also a delight to visit!

Plant Bae really seems to know her stuff about plants and how to upkeep them. Just had a terrarium class and it was super relaxing and enjoyable. The shop has a lot of money plants amongst the variety and some pottery. Looking forward to supporting them at their new location.

The best experience!!!!

"May I help you find something?"…read more (What are words you rarely hear in the gardening areas of Home Depot or Lowes for 500, Alex?) You will be helped at Perino's. So yes, walk in to the huge nursery but don't feel overwhelmed. There will be a well-informed employee there to help you. And you don't have to go hunting for them. Perino's is paradise at this time of year when most of our minds are geared towards making our outdoor spaces beautiful, even if in a month or two we will be hiding inside from the heat. Perino's has it all from annuals to perennials to shrubs to trees and everything in between. Yes, you're paying more for things than you will at HD or Lowes, but the quality is profoundly superior to what you'll get there (sidenote: it's depressing to see the wilting flora at the big box stores, clearly due to lack of watering. Then they put them on sale but c'mon). Perino's has sales at times, too. Proof of quality: I see in my last review 12 years ago that I mention buying a star jasmine vine. I still have that vine and it made it through two cross country moves!

They were quickly putting new trees out as others were purchased. We found the 7-8 foot section and I quickly found one that I liked. We opted to have the tree delivered ($55 for our area). They had a large selection of trees in all sizes. They build their own stands and have the water bowl built in to keep the tree fresh and they give the tree a fresh cut on delivery day. Only disappointment we had is that their info sheet they give you for delivery says they'll help you decide on which side to face outward and trim any branches that need trimming. Instead they brought the tree in, put it on the floor protector we bought, and cut the string wrapped around the tree before running out the door. We had quite a bit to trim around the base before decorating including quite a few small branches that went directly into the water bowl. Next time we may just have them tie it to the car and save the delivery fee.

The coronavirus restrictions are ramping up, meaning I'm spending a lot more time at home now. As…read moresuch, the deplorable state of my home's flowerbed is really getting to me. Once I got wind of the looming stay-at-home mandate, I decided to run one last non-essential errand: picking up a project to keep myself busy at home. I decided that fixing up my flowerbed would be my project, and so off I went to Renaissance Gardens. The location of Renaissance Gardens somehow manages to be both convenient and inconvenient. Is convenient because it's on a major road, so I pass it frequently. It is inconvenient because it is on an oddly-shaped lot, and thus has a strange parking situation. There is enough room to park 2 cars normally/perpendicular, but then you have to get creative/parallel park. There's enough room that it's not really a problem, but it might catch some people off guard. Gardening isn't really my thing, so I can't be sure, but Renaissance Gardens seem to have a good selection of plants. Certainly more than I would've guessed from my various drives past them. I didn't know what I wanted, just listed my requirements - something to grow in a full sun flowerbed and help crowd out weeds - and the ladies were able to show me some options. So I got some professional advice, pretty flowers, and a random cat sighting; awesome.

I went to check for house plants, and they had my dream hoya. A pubicalyx splash (for $14.95)! So…read moreglad I happened to drive past this and made a U-turn. I'll definitely stop by again when I'm in the area

He walked us around the shop and answered all of our questions about the best pots/plant pairing for our the small bog gardens we were going to create. I forgot to get his colleagues names but they led us through a step by step workshop for adding and packing soil into our pots, drainage systems and tubes and what works best for particular pots and allowed time and space for us each to arrange our gardens. I personally made one for my Mother who I will be able to share with her on Mother's day. This was the perfect outing because it was short and sweet and who doesn't love basking in the presence of all the plants! I loved walking around the shop and admiring the variety if plants and I give the shop and thumbs up for honoring covid-19 protocols and having customers mask up during the entire workshop. They even went above and beyond to give each small group their own table and work space! Looking forward to more workshops this Spring and Summer. They also have a cool "sale" section with an assorted of plants which was neat to poke around in. I'll definitely be back.

The most interesting plant I've seen was the epipremnum pinnatum albo, which was about $120 for many leaves/nodes. Really well priced but only moderately variegated. The aroids were appropriately priced, and although there weren't many hoyas, the ones there were uncommon enough to be a good source to buy from. I found their supplementary supplies a bit expensive though, but if I was local I would believe that they would have some killer restocks and new species (especially the aroids).

I'm not officially a plant person. I tend to be a foster parent for plants, or an adopter of…read moreplants that have left behind or propagated by others, but I don't often head out in search of actual plants to buy for myself. Occasionally new pots or potting soil, but very rarely am I out and about for plants. I rent, it's always dark in the shotgun, the yard is just a jungle gym for the dogs, so I don't really plant anything. Just assorted pots on the porch and a few limited light tolerant plants inside. And then I decided to pick up a few for my classroom. I usually just have a little vase or some mini-daffodils in spring, but I'm trying to encourage more plant life in my classroom so that my students can enjoy it, and so that I have time to enjoy it. The problem is that I'm not as good at indoor plants as I am my outdoor ones. So I went to TPG because my mom gave me some ideas, and it popped up as a nearby location to where I was out shopping. 1. This place is way bigger than I expected. I pulled in and there's a shop, greenhouses, landscaping plants, you name it. 2. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. I got ideas of what to get (sturdy enough for students), ways to take care of them, and knowledge about which ones were air purifiers, low maintenance, or whatever given my classroom conditions. 3. I spent more money than I had been anticipating, but I was having such a great time, and enjoyed learning about the plants that I decided to just buy a few more. The lady in the greenhouse wrote out my bill, I got to use my Yelp! check-in discount, and I went into the store to check-out. They had so many great goodies there that I really wanted to keep shopping, but I knew I had already spent my budget with the extra plants, so I stayed good. Now I know for next time and I look forward to going back. BTW -- the new plants are thriving and new shoots are already appearing, so apparently they really did lead me in the right direction!

The Plant Gallery is so expansive, beautiful, and organized. There is inspiration abound. They really put so much care into the aesthetic. Most plants were labeled with name, care tags, pricing, their sun/shade situation, etc. I'd visited before and felt a little intimidated. When you approach, it seems like you have to park on the street, but if you pull inside the gate there is subtle parking available. It's sort of like street parking, where you can park along side some of the plants or sculptures. If you're unsure, ask some of the friendly staff and they'll help you.
