I stopped here for lunch on the fly. I got the Salisbury steak and mash potatoes. The food was good. The meat was thick, juicy, and flavorful. The mash potatoes were creamy and tasty as well. There were other down home food options like baked chicken, white beans, stew chicken, smothered okra, etc. When placing your order, you have the option to order a small plate or large. I opted for the small this time. The meal also comes with a free canned soda, which was pretty cool. This is cool place to jet in and out of if you want something hearty to eat.

I have been here in the past, and found the employees to be friendly enough, the gas a bit on the high side, and the lot easily accessible to enter and exit. The station is very well lit at night. During the current time of Covid-19, I get that companies need to diversify in their endeavors to make money. Capitalism. I was working from home one day and wanted pizza without going with the national chain. I hop on doordash and find a place called Mothership Pizza. I see that there are not many options on the menu, and see that the physical address is in a place where I do not remember a physical pizza place in the area. I went ahead and ordered. While the pizza did not taste as if it were once frozen, it wasn't quite homemade. I have included links for the doordash page and the google maps link to show that there are no pizza places in the immediate vicinity. Who am I to judge? You do you. https://www.doordash.com/store/mothership-pizza-new-orleans-901806/en-US https://goo.gl/maps/frDd27ogjJAnAf4s5

Proof of failing Touch ID. This is due to the screen not being put on properly.

This store is a SCAM‼ went to get my iPad fixed and another guy that worked there warned me that the repair guy would run me for my money‼ I didn't believe him and suffered the consequences. First time around I paid $220 he kept saying he's "giving me a discount" mind you I know how much everything cost to get my iPad repair but maybe he was incorporating taxes and labor. I knew it was a red flag when I asked him to reset it and he said it was an EXTRA $30. So I reset it myself at home within 2 minutes. The first day I received my iPad the screen was lifting and I had multiple functions not working such as Touch ID , ft , and certain keys on my keyboard couldn't be touched. I made him aware of the issues through cashapp. I live far so I wasn't able to just constantly travel over an iPad , I finally brought it back because out of nowhere my screen started going haywire and had ghost touch horribly. He said he would fix it and I asked for the price and he didn't give me one. I come back to pick up my iPad in a week HE SAYS ITS $100!!!! Mind you it's broken again BECAUSE HE FAILED TO GLUE IT DOWN PROPERLY. He refused to release my iPad to me unless I paid and wouldn't negotiate a price. I'm never coming back to this store again FOR ANYTHING‼ , my screen still has a slight ghost touch and lags behind after being touched but atp I don't even care , I'll just buy a new one if it breaks.

This is a brand new gas station (Exxon at the moment) and convenience store. The space is super clean (as it should be since it's brand new). The gas station portion is well lit. Do not confuse this with the Original Brown Derby which is across Jeff Davis from this location and sells hot plates. I do wonder if they are affiliated or all appropriating a traditional name.

There were two registers at the front of the store. One had a line, the other did not; the one with the line had a Fedex sign behind it. I pardoned myself to ask if it was the correct line for the drop off. The woman said either register could help me and to place the box on the counter at the other register.; the attendant at the other register was about 5 feet away and hear d the interaction. I did as I was instructed. The woman at the second counter was tidying and dilly-dallying, totally ignoring me. When I finally commented she rudely asked if I were speaking to her and said, "if you want help from be you gotta ask for it; you can't be standing there thinking I will help you if you don't ask me." I said your coworker just asked me to come to this register. She repeated her rude little you gotta ask tirade and continued to do other things, at which point I walked out. Abominable, and not the first time I hae been treated rudely at this store. I will drive 15 miles out of my way to avoid that store.

I have signed up for monthly automatic refills numerous times, and it never works. I have to call to refill, and lately the refills cannot be made in time, so I run out of medication. The automated system is garbage, and when I opt to attempt to speak with a pharmacist, I am put on hold for a half an hour or more, and hang up. No one has ever answered the phone. Nothing against the people who work there, but it's a really bad store in terms of functionality. The rest of the store is a typical Walgreens.

My food was hot n ready within 10 minutes. What I got: crawfish pie (10/5) -- $2.99 for this masterpiece. it is basically crawfish etouffee mixed with some rice stuffed into pie dough. savory, got a nice kick of heat, and love how pronounced the bell pepper flavor is shrimp po boy (10/5) -- everything is just so balanced and went down like nothing because it is so effortlessly addictive. Shrimp are seasoned and fried perfectly. came out to ~$10 and the 6" is HUGE, also easily customizable chicken sausage gumbo (5/5) -- literally feels/tastes like it is made with love. perfectly seasoned, hearty, savory, nice chunks of smoked sausage, good portion of rice It will be on my list to return to whenever I come to New Orleans.

Hidden gem ALERT!!!!!…read more I explored the French Quarter for more authentic eats, and escaped Burbon St...mission complete. New Orleans version of a NY bodega is where I found one of the best and most adorable shrimp po'boys. You'll have to put these directions into your phone, because the location is in the depths of the neighborhood district. It's walkable to and from the popular Canal Street, just much quieter and secluded. You won't be able to park on this particular street, but near by areas would allow for street parking. This is in fact a grocery store with a hot food market setup in the back. I was pleasantly greeted immediately as I entered by a gentleman stocking, and a nice lady behind the register. I immediately darted to the back of the store and saw the setup, simple with a bit of updated technology. You can order and pay at a tablet style screen, and wait for the magic to be made on the other side. It took about 5 minutes and I got a text my order was ready, the same gentleman who was stocking called out my name from the back and handed me a 12 inch shrimp po'boy for 12.00. This sandwich was incredible, loaded with crispy fried shrimp and fresh lettuce. The bun was soft and very fresh, I added extra pickles for an acidic flavor breakup to the fried fish and dough. The flavors were on point, very seasoned and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was very impressed by the price and quality....not to mention customer service. Pro Tip: My van driver mentioned to me before dropping me off at the hotel, a lot of people walk Burbon Street and turn around when it becomes residential. But there is actually a ton of life and experiences to be had off the beaten path, both local and authentic.

During the first week of January, my lifelong friend visited Plush Appeal to purchase Mardi Gras decor for her out of state home. We are natives of New Orleans and were raised with the proper etiquette and respect for ourselves, others and community. We are proud graduates of an affluent Catholic high school and our class of women has made quite a positive impact in this world collectively. With that said, as my friend was shopping she interacted with one of the sales associates and had a lovely conversation. This particular sales associate then left the area. Within minutes two other sales associates approached my friend, accused her of stealing, and when my friend attempted to clear her name and prove her innocence, these women refused. They stated she was on camera and despite my friend asking multiple times for proof and to view the cameras, she was again refused her request. Apparently, two large men were then instructed to escort her out to which she stated she felt extremely uncomfortable. Several of her friends have reached out to the store. Ms. Vee was so nice! CeeCee though ... the manager... when I called to ask for clarification she became nasty and hung up. Long story short, nothing was stolen. If that were the case why not call the police or show the video? Most importantly to note are the differences in skin tones. My friend is an upper class African American female who was seemingly targeted for the color of her skin. Take your business elsewhere!
