I've had several poor experiences with this location's tire services. Previously it was more unhelpful, rude and unfriendly staff but most recently we ordered tires and had a very poor experience. We received no updates about status. We made an appointment for service and they never followed up that the tires weren't in yet. Multiple calls to custumer service were unhelpful and they consistently said "we will call you back" and it never happened. A truly frustrating experience that ended up with canceling the order and a refund. It's a shame because they had really good prices for Michelin tires but it wasn't worth the hassle. As for the rest of this location, I like the actual products and store, but the staff while better in the store, aren't always super friendly either. I have been a Costco member for 11 years. Most staff members are consistently friendly, helpful, professional and provide excellent service. A few are not as pleasant, and I usually avoid interacting with them. However, I need to report a repeated issue with one employee, Claunie P, which escalated during my visit on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. From the start of the interaction, she displayed no greeting, no smile, and no basic courtesy. Her attitude was openly irritated and hostile throughout the entire return process. I returned a box of matcha latte drinks that I had taped closed to prevent the items from falling out. When she asked if it was opened, I said yes. She immediately became angry and said, "You shouldn't close it." I explained why I taped it, and she snapped back, "No, you should just leave it open, don't do it next time." For comparison, when I returned other boxed items in the past, staff simply asked whether the item was opened. When I said yes, they opened the box themselves, checked it, and completed the return without any issue. Her reaction was unnecessary and inconsistent with the service I normally receive at Costco. When I redeemed my Costco Visa reward and showed her my email, she said, "Zoom it," in a rude, commanding tone. A simple "Please zoom it" would have been appropriate. Her tone was disrespectful and unprofessional. This is not the first time she has spoken to me this way. She behaved the same way when she used to work at the register -- never friendly, always mean, and consistently lacking basic customer service skills. I have ignored it in the past, but this pattern of behavior is unacceptable. I usually avoid her, but on this particular day I was in a rush and did not have that option. No member should have to brace themselves for disrespect when approaching a customer service counter. I expect Costco employees to treat members with professionalism and basic courtesy. If she is unable or unwilling to do so, she should not be in a customer-facing role. Whether she was having a bad day or not, it does not excuse repeated unprofessional behavior. I do not deserve to be treated with hostility and her poor service. At the end of the transaction, I did not thank her because there was nothing to thank her for- and the service she provided did not warrant it. She then responded with a sarcastic "Have a nice day and thank you." Despite her attitude, I still responded politely with "Have a nice day and thank you" because I refuse to mirror disrespect. Her comment, however, felt insincere and mocking. I value Costco and expect consistent, respectful service. I am asking that this matter be addressed seriously so that no other member has to experience this type of treatment. To be clear: for Claunie, she does not deserve any stars -- she deserves zero. My rating reflects the overall store, not her behavior. This repeated behavior from one employee has made my visits unnecessarily stressful, despite 11 years of positive experiences with the rest of the staff." I hope she receives additional training, because this is not the first time she has treated me this way. Her attitude doesn't represent the standard service of Costco's staff. read more

This is my all time fav local Costco. I've been to the one in Hackensack and Clifton a few times but i prefer this one for a few reasons. It's always clean which is a biggie for me, the employees always smile and are courteous, the isles are spacious and laid out very methodically and they recently redid the cooler sections and separated out veggies from dairy. Even though there are always plenty of people there it doesn't seem that cramped. I buy all my bulk kids snacks here, soaps, frozen fish such as shrimp and salmon fillets and a variety of pantry items. They also have an organic kale salad which is a hit at parties and a hit in our house. I can find similar salads at the supermarket but none are organic nor last as long is this one in the freshness dept. this is literally the only place I can find this salad and we are addicted to it. I try to come early Sunday morning or mid-day to avoid as much of a crowd i can for a Costco. Haven't really had an issue waiting too long. Same parking and line situation as the other Costco's I have visited in the area. But overall I still find a store the best and most convenient so keep coming back. read more

I didn't have a good experience on my last visit here. My cashier was very unprofessional and it didn't seem like she was trained properly. She did not know how to deal with this customer who didn't have a membership card. This cashier decided to ring her up ($400 worth of stuff) and then let this customer sweet talk her way to just get away with buying with no membership. I watched all this happening for 15 mins and this lady didn't even have decency to apologize or guide me to another cashier to help me. I must've asked her "miss, can you help?" about 10 times. Tire center is awful. They're all fine when you're buying but when it comes to minor problems the manager cops an attitude, especially if you're a female, and they don't honor the warranty. We had to get the manager of the entire store to come through and brought my brother in law and suddenly everyone's attitude changes. Don't waste time here. This Costco in height of pandemic appeared to take extra precautions for customers. However, last three times going in September the carts are no longer sanitized by an employee although I was told by a employee in the asking lot they were before put back in general cart area. I witnessed several occasions customers returned carts or gave to an employee and the carts were all mixed together. My last visit 9.27 a customer used cart was handed to me by an employee which I declined. This is not acceptable to prevent the spread of the virus! On another note, Kirkland brand of toilet paper, paper towels & disinfectant wipes are not stocked enough for volume of business and several occasions I walked out with none of these 3 items I came into the store to purchase. read more

Not renewing my membership. So I've had a membership at Costco since their doors first opened. It's actually my mother's membership and I am the 2nd person on her account. I don't shop at Costco frequently but my mother likes to shop here. As I was checking out I was told that my membership had just expired and needed to be renewed. I explained that it was my mother's account and she would renew it in Florida during her next visit. I was denied my purchase and told I had to renew before I could make my purchase. I called over the manager and she would not make an exception. I was forced to leave my cart. I went on to the COSTCO website after I left and learned that their policy is you do not have to join Costco to purchase there. You can pay an extra 5% surcharge if you are not a member but are restricted from "member only" products. I was buying bottled water and gardening soil, neither were member only. This option was never presented to me. I will NEVER step foot in Costco again. They have Zero regulars for customer service and customer loyalty. read more

I paid for a hearing aid nearly 2 weeks back, and now at 5 pm you are calling to tell me that the fitting appointment for tomorrow is cancelled because you don't open at 9. This review is mostly for the Costco Tire Sales & Installation at the Costco Wholesale in Nanuet. I got 4 new tires in April of 2013. The price is a great deal but... as I always say, it is the service after the sale that counts. I had a flat tire a few weeks ago, it was fixed free. I just realized that the tire threads are going too fast on the outside. I came back today and they told me that as part of the sale, I get free tire rotations and balancing. Plus, they do nitrogen tire inflation not just air. Last but not least, the service guys in the tire shop are very professional, well trained and VERY courageous. I always try to tip them but they refuse. I was served today by "Alex". What a nice gentleman. It is refreshing to find mechanics that are nice and professional. She started to freak out and tell me that I shouldn't buy the TV if I was planning to bring it back. Yea right, like I knew I will return it when I bought it, and just for fun I went through the checkout process, the driving and climbing with TV to my house, and then bring it back to the store and deal with you. I used to belong to Costco as well as BJs but I decided to get rid of my Costco membership for a couple of reasons. 1) Why pay for 2 places just to "shop"? It was beginning to cost too much. 2) The lines were UNBEARABLE! I used to stand on the line for so long that I once celebrated a birthday there. It is just sad. 3) The Employees are UNBEARABLE! Cashiers who stood there like idiots looking at their nails growing (and that was the male cashiers!) while other employees were flirting with them (and those were other male employees). I hated that. I would stand on line watching this idiocy go on for a ridiculously long period of time. There also seemed to be an inordinate amount of incompetency at Costco. Me and my daughter still joke around about one of their dullard cashiers who were standing up there messing up order after order. It was like a car wreck... you could not turn away nor could you get off of the line. You had to watch it... all. One of his peers came up to him and asked him what the heck he was doing as a cashier when he usually just walked around doing nothing. The good things about Costco? Great hot dogs. Good prices (BJs is comparable so why go to Costco and deal with its idiot employees?). Why go to Costco when you could go to BJs? BJs rules, people. I love that store. I love their employees. Well I did come in and buy a whole mess of bulk. Got about 200 roll of paper towel. Even grabbed a toy story 2 PC game and the first season of dexer on dvd. Bought a huge rack of rib for like fifteen bucks. Noticed they had a snack bar. Left my car in the middle of the aisle and sprinted across the warehouse up to that teller. Started with a hot pretzel and then had about two helpin of breadsticks and some ballpark franks. Grabbed a wax cup and Washed down all that bread with some squirt. Purchased my goods and had several of the staff wheel me out to my small van I borrowed. Sad they don't give bags here but stoked they give great customer servip. read more
