Thought it was funny that my guy and I stopped here on our way home to Oregon to get cheap Costco liquor for our liquor cabinet which was only one bottle of vodka, and one bottle of whiskey and you wouldn't believe the looks we got. We felt so judged along with the oh, be careful! Have fun! Did they not see the Oregon ID? We don't get Costco brand liquor in our State bud! We have to go to Wa, or Ca. I felt like I was in a church house doing something wrong . Like the kid that just farted in church, and everyone is staring! We have stopped at several Costco's in the past and bought cases of whiskey, and Vodka and never had been made to feel like this. No we don't drink on a regular basis, but it is nice to have a stock, and we have used them as gifts. We have also infused some. Besides it is just rude to judge a book by its cover! read more

Costco is an awesome company! They just get it. They understand customer service, their staff is friendly, and they 100% stand by what they sell. About 3 years ago, I bought a motion sensing outdoor light and mounted it by front door. The light worked for about two years then failed. I remember that Costco had an "unlimited" return policy so I un-mounted the light and my wife brought it in - no receipt. After a search of their database, they located the sale from two years earlier and gladly refunded the entire purchase price in CASH! I don't know a single other store that would be willing to do that and I would have been perfectly fine with having to buy a replacement since even the manufacturer's warranty had expired. This is a wise business strategy, because, I now ALWAYS check Costco first for purchases over, say, $50. I only buy from somewhere else when Costco does not have what I'm looking for. (Note: Costco's policy on computers and electronics is just 90 days - but that's still three to six times longer than their competition.) read more

This CostCo isn't nearly as busy as some of the others closer to the Seattle area, and when I come down here, I tend to find everything I need. They even have a few items I don't see at all the CostCo's, like their Lime Cilantro Shrimp in their fresh foods dept. Customer Service is excellent here and everything is always well stocked and maintained in this store...it's never dirty! The best times to shop at ANY CostCo is early or late in the day, and being part of a military family myself, DON"T come on payday or the day after....it's a zoo! LOL read more

This review based off the food court area not the store area. First time in this store since I don't have a card for this store but a friend does. The food court is a little messy and was right in the middle of a rush but no-one is really eating at the tables they are mostly grabbing food and leaving . I am watching the carts since we just got done shopping and we both want food . They took the order for pizza and told us 15 mins.. So we went and put stuff in my car and came right back in, So after about 15 mins of standing there and seeing all these pizzas leave and our number not being called we ask and told we are next it coming right up. 3 more pizzas go out , we are told the Same thing. I look at the time and it has been already 35 mins of waiting and asking. I walk over and get store manager, he goes in talks to the food court manager to remake or is it make the pizza . While watching this I see other running around the kitchen area like they are looking for the original pizza. Manger comes back and told me he saw them make a new one and he pays me back for the pizza. 10 later I get the pizza and alot of apologize . read more

The CSR Josh lied to my wife this morning by stating that he had found the receipt on the system and refunded our money for a lesser value of a coupon price, when in FACT we paid the regular price. We returned later after finding the receipt to show proof of purchase. It seems as if the CSR was lazy to search for the correct receipt and also lied. read more

Excellent Costco - located away off the main roads which is much less stressful. They had excellent food, goods and best of all - low fuel prices! Paid $2.95 / gallon for fuel to keep the rental car going! That's $1.50 less than Los Angeles. They also had diesel fuel which surprised me. I have a diesel car and I always have to go to Sam's to get diesel but this Costco had both gas and diesel. I hope they do the same in California soon..... Prices in the warehouse were in line with prices in LA. Selection was slightly different due to the location. Very nice staff on hand. read more

There a scam tire shop, will never buy tires from them again. Tires I wanted were on sale but we're not available is what I was told, searched other Costcos and found the tire and size I needed, they would not ship them in is what I was told, so I waited and when sale was over all of a sudden they were available, so I purchased at regular price. Made my appointment and the day after I had them installed they went back on sale and when I called they said we don't adjust prices on tires. Bad business, no communication, poor all the way around. I reached out to a friend who works for them and he told me that they know when there tires are going on sale before hand so they should of told me. Costco sucks read more

I mean what's there to say really that doesn't apply to every Costco? Love the prices, love the products, cheap food court and pleasant employees. The shoppers...... well they suck. Really though, if you wanna go somewhere shopping where you walk inn planning on spending 100$ and leaving spending 400$ this is your place. They have many things to offer if your a bulk shopper like myself. Everything from food, cloths, outdoor sports things, yard decor, BBQ's and much more. My favorite purchase has probably been my BBQ for sure. Let start at clothing though, although they have a lot of shit I would never wear myself, they also have lots of name brands at amazing prices. I personal love workout clothing and they have a shot ton of name brands for around 20$. Most those items are selling for around 45$ at the mall. They also have some super good deals are jeans. I've probably bought about 5 pairs of Calvin Klein's there all only for 20$ each. Pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, bath mats and other home supplies are available too. Basically if you can think of it, they have it. The food samples are another thing that they offer. I mean let's be honest who doesn't love free shit? I think this is a important thing so you have a chance to try new things before committing. Parking is always fucking horrible, honestly there's times where I'd rather kill my self than deal with it, but it is always available. I noticed 4 unmasked individuals in the store today. I know that costco cannot force you to be kind and considerate and wear a mask around seniors like me. My husband no longer comes into costco because of unmasked individuals. He is facing a very difficult surgery on his spine after years in the building trade. He used to come in and lean on the cart and help me. But we cannot risk him getting covid and getting his surgery canceled. He has so much pain. Melissa in the Marvin Rd Costco Optical Department is terrible at customer service. I realize Costco and has strict mask policy and if I want to shop there I have to wear a mask. I did just that. I had it on. I walked up to the counter and asked if I could try on glasses. Melissa replied "only if you have a valid perscription, which I did. She then walked me past the barrier like I was a criminal. She said anything you touch goes in the bin. Now keep in mind it wasn't the words she was using it was her dirty looks and tone. I chose a pair of glasses in a hurry only because Melissa came over in 5 minutes and asked me if I was finished. I didn't feel like I was welcome there at all. I needed help and she was not helpful at all. I had her print my prescription for me and told her I didn't want anything else from her and walked out. I don't care if it is covid or not. If you work in customer service you need to remember you have a job because of your customers. I most likely will never go back to Lacey Costco Optical Department again. RUDE! read more

update: just filled up gas at Costco today. The ghetto hidden mobile trash can has been replaced by a respectable large gray trash can. The lid was on top and trash was not overflowing. Looked clean. The distance to the trash can still is not as convenient as to when they were right next to the pumping station... but it is in view and in a place that looks like it belongs. If pumping you still would have to cross outgoing traffic or re-park you car. But this distance to the can is a little more acceptable versus their "mobile trash can" that was hidden from view for most customers. So happy pumping people! read more

Terrible customer service at the tire center. I bought a set a tires here three years ago it was 20,000 miles on it. One picked up a stable has a slow leak. Came into get it fixed. They say it's not covered under the sea road hazard warranty. Not only that they say a trip is all four tires because were 20,000 miles and too many miles and the new tire would be a mismatch. So because of the staples should be covered under roadside hazard, just trying to upsell me $1000 for new tires which they should cover for free. This is boring. Never ever buy tires here. read more

Generally speaking, Costco is a great place to shop and save a little money. Sometimes customer service is good while other times customer service is not so good. This can vary by location as well. The one thing that I use to find that Costco had in common no matter the store location is the requirement of its customers to wear masks. In the store requirements here on Yelp, it shows that Costco requires masks. If you visit Costco's website you will see that Costco shows mask-wearing is required. Go to YouTube and watch the videos of customers being required to leave Costco stores because the customer refused to wear a mask. Okay! That's cool. On a recent visit to Costco in Lacey, I noticed an older woman not wearing her mask as she shopped. Her mask was around her chin. At one point I was going to mention this to a store employee but I noticed her approach the store employee and ask for assistance finding a product. The store employee provided her with the information she requested and she walked away. The store employee never mentioned her improper wearing of the mask. I started to say something to the store employee but changed my mind. The bottom line here is this, Costco, either enforce the mask requirement fairly and equally between all of your shoppers or don't enforce it at all. read more

It was very disheartening that a Business that we've been going to for decades would all of a sudden treat us as pest. The family decided to give Costco and try since they seem to have made extra efforts in hygiene and sanitation so we felt that safety to once again be welcomed as family. We went to the optometrist bought some glasses we are even considering buying the Traeger smoker we went up and down the store for about five hours making sure we got all our purchases as I was waiting by the cash register with one cart full and my wife was picking up one last item in her cart we were told that the store is now closed and reminded again that the store is now closed as the person encroached our space. We asked what do you want us to do leave our cart and there was no reply so feeling like pest we had no option but to leave the managers attempted to remedy the situation but it is obviously their policy and protocol that these employees are following with security flashing lights as people slowly encroach on your space to remind you that you were no longer welcome here. I had over $1000 worth of items in my shopping cart that had to be left because apparently our presence was a nuisance due to the fact that they are about to close. Costco used to be a safe haven where people would spend their weekend, buy pizza, buy hotdogs take the samples and do the shopping and comfort but after this experience it seems like they are no longer interested in the community but the bottom line. I am genuinely heartbroken that my relationship of two decades has deteriorated to just a number. read more

My husband and I were at Costco to renew our Membership, while I was typing my information- somehow the first letter of my name that is on my credit card was incomplete but it transaction started generating. I quickly asked Melissa L. to see if I can have the screen brought back as I made needed to make corrections. She was dismissive and told me it was ok, it automatically corrects it. My husband and I came back to the store and he tried to see if we can make the corrections and verify my information was good- Mellisa L. said she wasn't able to access the previous screen, but it automatically corrects mistakes. I told her that she DID NOT mention that she is unable to access that screen itself, JUST that it'll automatically correct the information. She snidely said " well, I DID". That was the worst service we have ever received at any Costco Location, we will totally avoid your customer service desk. We had better customer service experience at the Camas location. read more

Very upset with Costco's service today. I've been trying for weeks to do a return at their warehouse but do to restrictions on Washington state the line goes out the store and they are not following the guidelines for 6 feet or wearing masks while waiting in line outside the store. Each time I have left and chose to return at a different time. Today I finally was able to make it to the store for a return since there were no lines and it could seem that people were following guidelines. I missed my return period on an item by 2 weeks so the lady wouldn't return it for me even though it's defective and hasn't worked. I explained to her that I choose not to come to the store when the line is wrapped around the store because it's more exposure to people and more possibility of getting covid 19. She didn't care. She told me to call the concierge service. After waiting for an hour with them on the phone that customer service rep told me they can't even help me with the product, only the store can! I've never been so disappointed with Costco. Due to the circumstances that the entire world is facing I don't see how they can't make an exception just this one time. This review is not about Costco Warehouse but instead about the Verizon kiosk inside the store. These folks are some of the laziest, rudest, don't give a shyt people I have encountered at ANY Verizon store or kiosk. I worked retail while in college and we were always told if we were not available to help a customer, at least greet them and let them know you will be with them momentarily. I could have been peeing on the floor and the Verizon kiosk folks would have been none the wiser because they did everything to avoid eye contact. I asked to see the Verizon kiosk manager, who's name is Josh BTW, and to my utter surprise he was the rudest most standoffish of the two. There was an elderly Asian lady waiting and the way Josh treated her made me wanna jack him up something serious! Perhaps they are Sprint representatives masquerading as Verizon representatives! Here's something else that ticks me off, but not just at this Verizon store, but any store!!! If a store representative is helping another customer, why do they insist on asking if there's something they can help you with? After you go through the whole explanation process guess what they say.......................... wait for it........ wait for it........ "I'm with another customer and will be with you when i'm done"! Okay genius I already knew that!! read more

I can't say anything bad about Costco. By far my favorite store. I love that there aren't any crappy brands... they have filtered out unreliable and poor quality items, leaving good stuff for me to choose from. THIS COMPLAINT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LACEY COSTCO ITSELF (which I've always been 100% pleased with), BUT IT ADDRESSES THE EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM A FRONT END SUPERVISOR NAMED **JAKE**. WHO AM I? Today is my birthday...I'm a 70 year old Grandmother and as often as possible I opt to use a store electric cart when shopping. You see, about 25 years ago traffic on I-5 became congested and came to a standstill. I had no option but to stop and wait until traffic picked up again. The driver behind me obviously wasn't paying attention because he rear ended me and totaled my cherished '76 Silverado pickup which I'd recently bought. At the time we were stationed at Fort Lewis where my husband, a Colonel, was the senior Army intelligence officer on base. AS A RESULT OF BEING REAR ENDED I went through many months of PT, I was seen by both military and civilian specialists, I almost had surgery due to an impingement syndrome, I was under the care of a Chiropractor for almost a year along with massage therapy, and the end result is severe lower back pain, very painful knees, osteoarthritis, and many resulting limitations, such as being in substantial pain when standing even 5 minutes in line at a store, etc. AS I SHOPPED I found some men's heavy duty flip-flops that I wanted to buy for my sons, but no 11's were in the front display boxes. Many boxes were behind the display boxes but it would have been extremely difficult for me to lift them all down and go through them all, and if I'd tried to do it I'd have paid for it in back pain for days to come. I DROVE THE CART AROUND THE STORE TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE WHO COULD HELP ME but I simply didn't find anyone, so I headed for the front of the store. A store employee (who turned out to be JAKE, A FRONT END SUPERVISOR...newly employed) walked by and I said, 'Excuse me sir." I got no response and he kept on walking, so I repeated myself and this time I got his attention. I ASKED, "Is there anyone around who can help me?" Then I explained about the flip-flops and how difficult it would be for me t search through the many boxes stacked behind the front display boxes. Jake turned around and stretched his neck, looking here and there, then he said he didn't see anyone around who could help me. Jake said, "The best thing you can do it go back and sort through all the boxes." Then he motioned to the area in the store where the shoes are. I WAS SHOCKED that that was THE BEST HE COULD DO. There was a pause and silence on my part. Then I said to Jake, "Don't bother. I'll go and see about sorting through all the boxes." I think he knew I was really irked. Only then did he say he'd try to get someone, so he got on his phone and called to see if there was anyone who could help me. TO BE HONEST, I headed back to the shoe department and was totally prepared to get EVERY BOX OF SHOES DOWN AND POTENTIALLY BLOCKADE THE ENTIRE SHOE AISLE!! I came upon an employee who, the moment he saw me, asked if he could help me with anything. I explained the situation and said what I'd really like to do is speak with management. That got things on the right track. TO JAKE ~ The last time I was in your store I spent more than $800, which included a generator. I have been a regular, faithful customer of the Costco Lacey store for more than 17 years. I have bought all my dog and cat food at your store, and FYI, aside from always having 2 dogs and 4 cats, I have fostered dogs for the past 17 years, and the last 5 have been only elderly dogs. At one point, in addition to my pets I also had 5 foster dogs. I shudder to think of how much I've spent on pet food, cat litter, pet beds, cat condos, and other pet products! But YOU MANAGED TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I WASN'T WORTH YOUR TIME OR TROUBLE!! TO BE PRECISE, I FELT LIKE YOU'D PROVERBIALLY LIFTED YOUR LEG ON ME! THANKS FOR NOT PUTTING YOURSELF OUT ONE IOTA!! SUGGESTION: The guy who asked if he could help me, and who was so very friendly and cordial, should be given your job, Jake, and you should have the lessor job....while you try to learn how to treat customers because right now...YOU'RE LOUSY AT IT!! read more

I love Costco. The price for the membership is way too much however if you go enough and spend enough the membership pays for itself the first time you go or at least it can. It was hot today so I bought 3 strawberry Sundays. One for each of my parents and one for me. They were each just over a dollar and HUGE!!! Not just pieces of berries either. Big berries and all in delicious, thick vanilla ice cream!! My parents and I were all very pleased. I have found a new place to get my ice cream treats. Not expensive and SUPER YUMMY!!! And what a nice treat for my parents. My mom loves strawberrys. I think she'd eat strawberry veggies if there were such a thing. Next time I will try to remember to take a picture. This time I was so hot I just started eating and never thought about taking pictures. I guess that's what we have imaginations for. Outstanding service and extremely trustworthy. They are not trying to up-sell you or give you tires you don't need. I would highly recommend!!! I bought tires online at Costco.com since Costco in Lacey didn't have it in stock. I wanted to take advantage of the sale and was advised while getting an oil change (Firestone) I needed new tires soon. After it came into the Costco, I scheduled an appointment and spoke to the tires team about my tires. During the appointment, they took my vehicle in the bay and inspected my tires and advised me that my thread was still really good, and I actually didn't need new tires! They offered a refund and told me to come back before winter when the thread was worn down a bit more. Shout out to Ryan and Chris for taking care of me! read more

This review is for 06/08/2012. Since I got my first morning to myself, I decided to take a drive around Washington. I had already sported my Los Angeles Dodgers clothing and I wanted to do an LA Tradition....at least for myself. Get a Costco Pizza, Hot Dog and a Drink in Lacey, WA. I really must be trying to visit every Costco in my life. I am not very familiar with Lacey, but I did drive by Joint Base Lewis-McChord on my round-trip to Costco Lacey. Costco Lacey is like many other Costco environment. Sell bulk and the customers will buy. This location has a gas station for those reading this review on their way to JBLM or Seattle. Since I wasn't planning to buy anything, all I had in mind was to head straight to the food court. The food court was smaller than I had imagined. There were not many tables, but then this was not Los Angeles or a major city. I am still surprised the prices for Hot Dog/Drink ($1.50) and a Pizza ($1.99) were the same as many locations I have visited. Also to add, the taste is much better. the Polish Dog is much juicier than Los Angeles. I didn't recognize this was a Costco Hot Dog. The environment at this Costco was very calm. There were teens that you would think would be causing trouble or trash talking, but they were just enjoying their food. I saw a lot of customers who had carts that were not full. I was actually very surprised that it was not full of toilet paper or dog food. They must know how to economize at Costco. Costco Lacey is definitely different, but I am sure its just one of the popular locations to visit. I've been to Costco Everett and another one in Tacoma (No Review, sadly). I prefer this location over the Tumwater location for many reasons. The main reason being that this location is far less cramped together both inside the store and outside in the parking lot than the Tumwater location is. It's also worth noting that the Lacey and Tumwater Costcos are exact opposite mirror images on the inside of the store. If you can remember that and you visit the other location, you will be fine. This Costco has the same items every other Costco has and it's what you would expect. They are also more lenient with accessing the food court without having a Costco membership card or without having to show it. Trying this at the Tumwater location will lead to you being yelled at and be put through the annoyance of having to dig out your card simply for trying to BUY something from their food court. tldr: avoid the Tumwater location and come here. read more

Since writing the review below, i spoke with the warehouse manager and he replaced the lenses at no charge. This time the lenses seem great so no complaints on quality this time. However, my husband got a dressing down from the woman at the optical department when he brought the glasses in for replacement. Overall, I rate Costco 5 stars but the optical department average at best. Bad service and crappy materials!! I had a new prescription put in my existing frames. Within a week, there was a deep scratch on one of the frames. I've worn glasses for nearly all of my life and have never had this type of scratch, which I attribute to poor quality materials since I take great care of my glasses. I took them back to Costco, expecting their typically great service. Instead I was told that they offer no warranty for glasses and I would have to fully cover their replacement. I spoke with customer service at the Lacey Store as well and they too offered me no help. I've never heard of an optical store not providing a warranty, even if the customer has to pay $ for it. I have bad eyesight so I am out a large chunk of change. I won't be coming back. $350 at my eye doctor is less $ and less hassle than $200 on a regular basis. read more

For the second time in a row, this location has had items labeled with the incorrect price and would not alter the price after acknowledging that the product itself was mislabeled. My second visit involved an incorrect price with wine and I was told that the price cannot be changed because of the state of Washington and how it taxes alcohol. If two items that I purchased on two consecutive visits are priced incorrectly that has to be a lot more out there. Get your act together Costco. read more

I can't even go online to see HOW MUCH produce is or if they even have it. I do most of my shopping online, but occasionally I need something Costco specific. I have to say I'm a fan of this Costco location. I've been to just about every Costco in the state multiple times, and this was by far the quickest trip of any of them. Came in around 5:30 on a Wednesday, and there was NO ONE here. I was able to find everything on my list, walk up to the check stands, with not a soul already waiting in line, pay, get into my car and head home at warp speed. if I lived anywhere close to this location (sadly, I don't) I wouldn't go anywhere else! I've worn glasses for nearly 20 years and never been dissatisfied with a pair of glasses. Having just recently become a Costco member, I decided to try their frame shop. I thoughtfully chose a pair of glasses and was fitted, but when I went in to pick them up, I found them to be too wide for my face. The attendant told me there was nothing I could do. False. She could have remeasured me and ordered properly fitting frames. I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I will NOT order glasses from Costco again. read more

We have been using costco for years and it has never been a problem. Today we bought a razor for my husband and when we opened it the razor was full of hair. It's absolutely disgusting! I can't believe they allowed a return without checking it and put it back on the shelf for another customer to purchase. Is this the standard that Costco goes by??
