Chicken strips and churro
Mirei K.

Costco is always such a fun time! Lots of selection and the line goes by relatively fast. I always try to make sure I do my Costco runs early on so I can get the best value with the items I need. The workers here are pretty helpful and I tried the new chicken tenders and churros which were both amazing.

Top tier location! I recently saw an article saying this was the busiest Costco location in San Diego country, and I believe it. Despite this being the busiest location, the workers are always welcoming and happy to help. They have a great selection of snacks and see to always have new snacks each week. Costco is known for their unbeatable deals. I recently went for hamburger patties and buns and everything was decently priced.

Well, they have EVERYTHING I NEED AND DONT NEED but I keep coming back Toilet tissue is a staple item and that's more bang for my buck. Along with paper towels!!! The rotisserie chicken is plump, juicy, and flavorful. The liquor section is always on point with deals especially for holidays. The staffs have always been friendly and helpful. I start my journey on the outer isle near the entrance, then head around to the liquor section then the meats, to the salad/fridge when I need to cool down, cruise by the back where they have the paper towels and water then hit up the milk section, next to the condiments and bam, I have seen and scooped out what I need and want, then check out everything in between. #getting my steps in and shopping Oh and don't forget the samples when they are served not the food court on the way out! They now serve coca-Cola and I'm excited about that!

COSTCO @ LA MESA Parking is available in their lot, and while it does get pretty busy, you'll definitely be able to find a spot! This Costco is super close to SDSU, and as a college student, my friends and I love coming here to stock up on bulk items. One of our favorite things to buy is their cleaning supplies. I love their dish soap, laundry pods, paper towels, and toilet paper, all of those are always such a great deal. The prices are amazing, the quality is great, and the store itself is really big and spacious. The service here is also really solid. The checkout process is smooth, and I love how easy the flow of everything is. Some Costco locations can feel a bit chaotic or set up differently, but this one is super straightforward and convenient, plus it's right near SDSU.

Update 3-10-26 I could complain about gas being 4.89/gal but this is good considering that lol other places are 4.98 or above. I can always count on Costco for a deal especially in times of inflation. I considered Costco to be a blessing if you're able to get a membership. It pays for itself a lot of times in the long run annually with the deals they give.

Still the best price for gas and quality you can't blame the Facility. You can only blame the patrons who just spent too much time on their phones and other pains other than paying attention and pumping and filling their cars. I'm glad that they've got premium and regular to choose from.

I like to go here and there are many choices of products. The service staff is very friendly. But I wonder how well they know if there are problems with the products of certain merchants? Avocados can usually be kept for more than one to two weeks without oxidation, but the avocados I bought this time were all oxidized in less than 4 days. I bought two bags with a total of about 10 avocados. And the avocados I bought at that time did not feel ripe. I suspect that there was a problem with the avocados grown by this merchant.

Moldy berries and got charged twice for one milk, as slow as the cashier was you think he'd have done a better job

Dear corporate leadership, Why do you allow your employees to park in the closest spots all day every day? Every car on the side of the building next to Fletcher is backed into the spaces which of course a customer would never do as they would need to access their trunks to put away the hundreds of pounds of goods they just gave you money for. Instead you force them to push their carts through a disaster of a parking lot to spaces even further away. Tell your employees to stop being selfish and park further away since they don't have to haul groceries. 8.5 hours blocking prime parking spaces! Inconceivable

Since then, I have been meaning to go but Santee, Chula Vista and the former Lemon grove area stores were just too far from north county. I'm just not down that far very often. Recently, I had a drs appointment not too far away so I looked to see how close it was. It was early in the day so traffic wasn't a factor. It was only 10 mnutes away. Today would finally be the day! I pulled up and got a parking spot right out front. I walked in without a cart figuring I would only get a few things which was a blessing and curse. I would have bought more with the cart but what I grabbed was cumbersome to carry. They had a tv screen when you walked in advertising their sales. The old roommate had mentioned sales and coupons so I knew to look. They have a little bit of everything, close outs from Claire's, makeup and skin products, clothing, shoes, tons of food, condiments, beverages, eggs and milk (for super cheap), dishes, cleaning products, kids stuff such as toys and clothes, electronics, pets stuff, greeting cards, furniture, you name it they likely have it. Some stuff is still a bit pricey but other items are ridiculously great deals. I wandered all the aisles and got a lot of things I needed. The lines to check out were bit long but moved relatively quickly. They have a Tuesday senior discount which may explain why it was so crowded. The staff was helpful. I will definitely be back even if I have to plan a visit. How about opening a North County location?

All the stores with construction outfront had signs so you know they're still open. The work didn't get in the way of my shopping at all.. easy to navigate. Grossmont has a good mix of top retail stores (target, Walmart, barnes and noble, dollar tree) and small businesses. I think it's value added to your shopping experience when you're able to meet business owners and see the impact your support has on a family. I hope the updates do not drive costs up and that small businesses remain. I've found great deals here when everything is just so expensive. If you have young kids, definitely go visit the playground! Avoid the overstock store. It's just not worth it. I am really looking forward to seeing the new food court. I hope it will look better and feel better when you walk inside because it just seemed so dirty for me and I didn't want to eat at any of the places. I tried one time and the place I wanted was closed. I have nothing against any individual food place. The look of the court made me uncomfortable and makes me question what I don't get to see. Anyways, I will keep shopping here and I'm glad to see money going into it opposed to tearing it down.

Decent size mall with target, Walmart, bath body works, Barnes & nobles, Verizon, ceramic cafe etc. there's a few restaurants around the center as well. I am sad that they recently closed down the cinema; such an affordable place to go when you want to watch new movie releases. So much cheaper than AMC for sure.
