Typical Costco..We frequent there quite often. I prefer it over the one in Silverdale.

Friendly staff, usually reasonable lines, and the pharmacy is run by competent people. This is the Costco I choose to go to when possible.

Typical Costco near my parents place. Never had a problem here and the lines are generally reasonable when I've gone.

Like every Costco I have visited, this is a great place to shop and save money. They have a gas station usually with little line-up.

Like all Costcos, inventory varies but doesn't seem to represent the high-value Gig Harbor neighborhood.

I'd give zero stars if I could. As someone with severe anxiety I am usually overly nice out of fear during appointments. I feel like that is an odd statement though, since obviously there had to be something, anything, that was open. I ended up leaving in TEARS from an anxiety attack because of how awful they were being. Recently I just had some delivery person or processing plant worker steal my face cream THROUGH the packaging. I know they did because the tear on the packaging (including the face lotion's packaging) matches exactly how large the hole is, and it's a very deliberate tear. When I went to go deal with it through Target, however, now my "account can't be found". Even my boyfriend's account "can't be found" which I know is BS because we use his number every time we go to Target. It took me half an hour to even find an online chat for customer service. There's no email for contacting their customer service department. Overall, Target is a big fat YUCK. I will never be shopping here ever again - online or in store. Was already boycotting because of their terrible treatment of and from employees but now I will for sure never go back. Attached are the photos of the package that was delivered and how the face cream package fits *perfectly* through the hole yet was somehow still left inside

I just had a very unpleasant experience with a customer service representative at the Gig Harbor…read moreTarget. I've always received exceptional service at this location, so this situation was surprising and disappointing. The representative called to let me know that my progressive lenses were ready. When I asked about my sunglasses, the conversation quickly shifted. I explained that I had ordered new frames and that the store had kept the lenses from the pair I was replacing. She then told me she had a store full of people and didn't understand what I was trying to explain. When I tried to clarify, she responded, "That's exactly what I just said," in a rude and hurtful tone. I'm only returning to pick up my glasses because they're already paid for, but I won't be visiting this location again. To make matters worse, she called back afterward and didn't offer any kind of apology.

I genuinely care about people, and I expect the same from any provider I see. Unfortunately, this place does not. I recently moved from West Seattle to Gig Harbor and had previously gone to an independent eye doctor at Costco in West Seattle who was excellent. I chose Target Optical in Gig Harbor because they took my insurance, had good reviews, and advertised discounts on contact lenses! I was hopeful... but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The exam area was shockingly small and looked completely unsanitary. Instead of providing fresh trial contacts, they had me remove mine and place them in a little case on a dirty countertop next to water bottles and the sink. The doctor, Dr. Harrison, was dismissive and made me feel foolish for asking questions. I came in concerned about a possible lazy eye, supported by video evidence I'd taken of myself doing a neurological assessment. As an RN who has worked in neurology and cardiology, I've performed countless cranial nerve exams... but she brushed off my concerns, did a lightning-fast exam, and declared nothing was wrong without a thorough explanation or exam. Her demeanor was cold, and she made no effort to connect or reassure me. The sales experience was the worst part. After my exam, I sat down with a sales rep to discuss my contact lenses. Instead of helping me get the best deal with my insurance, it was clear their only goal was to upsell me. I left paying more than I should have and with far fewer lenses than I could have gotten elsewhere. About two Months later (today), I called to inquire about trying new Alcon lenses, specifically Air Optix Colors, Precision 1, and Air Optix Night & Day Aqua, which Alcon offers as a free 30-day trial with a coupon from their website. The rep immediately told me that because their doctor is "private" and "doesn't sell contact lenses," they couldn't provide me with the free trial, but I could try on non-prescription lenses in-store and then buy them from him. In other words, forget the free trial; he wanted me to pay full price. As someone familiar with the process, I know full well they could have redeemed the trial through their system if they wanted to. The sales rep's attitude was smug and transactional...the kind of tone that makes you feel like your money is more important than your eyes. This location left me feeling dismissed, overcharged, and entirely uncared for. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, likely back to Costco Optical where patient care still comes first.
