I have been shopping at this Costco location for a number of years. It has generally been a positive experience every time I pay this store a visit.
Last Sunday, 02/25/2018, the greeter at the door, Charmaine, was absolutely rude and unpleasant to deal with. Whenever me and my wife are at this location, the first thing I do is drop off my wife at the front door and then I go ahead and proceed to park our vehicle. Once it has been parked, I usually then proceed to enter the store. As I enter the store, the door greeter, Charmaine, proceeds to tell me in a rude manner "You can't go into the store without showing me your membership." I then reply back with "my wife is already in the store so there's no need for you to snap at me and rudely talk to me about being a member since I already am a member". Normally, her earlier remark to me would not be a problem if it were done in a professional manner. However, that is not what happened at all. There was NO PROFESSIONALISM at all on Charmaine's part. What bothers me even more is that Charmaine goes ahead and tell me the following..."I don't believe your wife is at the store but if she is, bring her here in front of me. If you don't have a membership, leave the store or go ahead to the customer service counter and apply for a membership. You're probably just in here for the free food".... Well, that right there, that attitude and unprofessional manner did not sit well with me. To go ahead and tell a customer those things in an unprofessional manner, there was no way I was gonna let these events that just transpired go and not let a store manager/supervisor know what is going on. I do not tolerate that kind of behavior and condescending attitude. I am disappointed that there are people like that who work at Costco. I am so disappointed in the level of customer service that was displayed that day. What's worse, even in the presence of a supervisor, Charmaine still chose to display the kind of attitude that still irks me and my wife. Please do something about Charmaine. There is no need for that kind of customer service. read more
