Anyway, for today Friday 7-25-2025, the surprising Cook County price leader for regular gas is Costco Oakbrook, and hooray for them! Here are the survey results fyi. Melrose Park was a very close second place in Cook County. DuPage County is cheaper than Lake County. The standings could probably change every day but I'm guessing not significantly but I may check again one day if curious and as usual not doing anything useful. Look at that WI vs IL spread, uugggh. Prices are a bit expensive for what they are. Fair cigarette prices. Easy access to streets if you're heading east and north bound.

Conveniently located just off I-80 interstate LaGrange exit, this is the place to go if you are in need of gas, a car wash, a pit stop, or some good food ... this stop is worth it. Outside, there are loads of pumps so you don't have to wait for a gas fill, and they also offer the usual propane exchange tanks. They also have a very nice car wash, if you are in the mood for that. Inside the store, it is very clean and they offer the usual registers and impulse buying stuff (cigarettes, slushies, candy, chips and the like). But now if you would rather have something a bit different ... they can take care of that also. Orland Park Bakery set up a satellite cafe in the store to bring you sandwiches, doughnuts and other pastries, and really good coffee. Heinie McCarthy's has a setup inside also and brings you fresh fried chicken to satisfy your fried food needs. These two food offerings really set this Gas N Wash apart from the competition. The only problem with the special food setups is that they are not 24 hour establishments ... but during regular hours, they are the tops. Give this place a try next time you are buzzing by on the interstate ... you won't be sorry and you'll probably mark it down as a must stop every time through town.

All I wanted was a fill up and a car wash. I waited too long to choose which wash from the pump so I had to go in to purchase it. Lovely! Everything is bright and nice again, clean, well merchandised. The Subway, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Dounts are still here too, I was glad to see. The employee who rang up my wash was extremely friendly and helpful. She issued me one of those Speedy reward cards and told me that I have 4 washes to go until I get a free one. Cool! Pretty relaxing even with the adding morning traffic. The breakfast tacos are pretty bomb. They offer made in house I assume real scrambled eggs with choice of bacon, sausage, or brisket. I usually get my car washed at the bigger car wash joint down the street, but that place closes at…read more9 p.m. So when I was having a rad-as-hell Saturday night and decided to pause my Arrested Development binge at midnight to get my car cleaned, Bucky's was my sole option in the area. And I know it's a car wash at a gas station, but was more impressive than I thought it'd be. I bought gas first, and I really liked the new branding Mobil had going on. There were some slick red and blue-colored structures above each pump, which looked extremely cool. I should also add that I use this phrase "new branding," but also that I rarely go to Mobil and this could've been a change made seven years ago. This Bucky's/Mobil trip is also notable because it was the first time I'd ever checked "yes" at a gas station when asked if I wanted to add a car wash. At Bucky's/Mobil, I saved 10 cents per gallon when adding a wash. That rocks. I only paid $8 for the car wash, which was pretty detailed and quick, and according to my dad, was "gentler on my car" than most washes. I have no idea what that means, if that's even true, or how such a thing is determined... but he's a dad, so I trust it. :) If you ever need a late-night car wash or want to try this inconspicuous gas and car wash spot, go for it! You might like it more than you think.
