We always enjoy Costco. They're Great for parties and stocking up. There are always some samples or something going on and they have great packaged foods as well as fruits and vegetables. We particularly love the seafood selection at Costco as well as the take-home taco platter. You can find many good deals in Costco, just know the sizes are larger so make sure it is stuff you use regularly. read more

I was very annoyed at this Costco today, to learn they no longer accept ebt cash from the card. I have used it numerous times in past . I had to use ATM get money I knew I had on cash side . And then be rung up again . Would luv to know y they no longer take ebt cash . But they take ebt food read more

This review is for their vision center Great eye doctors with spot on prescriptions and eye exams! The vision staff there is truly amazing. Whatever it takes to make your glasses experience perfect is what they strive for. Special shout out to their manager Marilyn for going out of her way to make sure I was a repeat customer. I have been coming here for my glasses for 10 years, will be for another 10. Thanks to Lainey, Sue for their great service as well. read more

Appalled by the customer service at this location. Went in with my friend using her moms card and they refused us service and made a scene in front of the entire checkout area with a worker calling us liars. Her mom now has to come back and checkout on our behalf which is ridiculous considering that she sent us shopping since she was not able to go. Inconvenient for us and embarrassing for them. read more

I love Costco. The one in commack is missing price signs all over the store. the things I was interested in I just gave up If I knew how much. i May have bought them. read more

who doesnt love Costco?! no wait....who with a membership doesnt love Costco?!?! Yes i've seen the documentary on tv and you know what?? Makes me appreciate them even more bc they work real hard to make sure i always spend over $100 there each trip even if my original plan was just to go in and buy a super ginormous bottle of laundry detergent. You name it, we have probably purchased it at Costco. And this Costco fits the bill. Tire center? check. Good seafood? check. Good steaks? check (and only added this since they finally brought back our beloved T-Bones!). Good veggies? check. Good fruit? check. Good samples throughout the store to make you forget what you're shopping for? CHECK. Seriously the list goes on... So if you dont have a membership yet. What are you waiting for?? read more

We like this Costco! - Big! - Free Parking. They keep it stocked pretty good. Definitely worth the trip from Queens! read more

Costco - Getting ready for Cancun trip! - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Commack, New York

I purchased a whirlpool top freezer refridgerator from costco.com at costco commack. i had problems with our purchase, the freezer was not freezing at an acceptable or safe temperature. after dealing with Whirlpool, we turned to Costco for help, and due to the fact we were over the 90 day return policy, we were sent from department to department for weeks of dealing with several different agents, they said they would resolve the issue and eventually decided against our request for a refund, even though we had purchased and additional three year warranty, even though the refridgerator was not performing properly or safely. We puchased an appliance from Costco because they stand behind what they sell, but are extremely disappointed our issue is being handled read more

Was informed by the cashier that I had to renew my membership card. I said I don't have enough cash on me and i don't want to use my credit card I'm sorry I'm not going to purchase these today(i only had 3 items.) As I walked away I heard the cashier mumbled" STUPID" I didn't want to start a fight so I ignored it. However if this is how you train your employees to treat customers I'm not going to spend a penny on your products. read more

Standard Costco, similar layout to nearby Costco stores. Seasonal items up front, nice selection of organic food, meats, produce, bakery in the back. Flower bouquets are fresh and last a while. Costco brand (Kirkland) is as reliable as name brands. Big parking lot, but it does get full and the foot traffic is heavy right where you need to drive, which I guess is unavoidable, but for some reason it seems like more traffic jams at this location. Perhaps because grocery store, Starbucks, Target, Home Goods all in same lots? Regardless, great go-to for bulk stock ups! read more

Clean and well stocked location. Very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. Always enough registers open so the lines move quickly, even when they are extremely busy. Be a little careful if you want to take your time browsing the aisles here as many of the shoppers are combining shopping the store with cardio and you might get run over or crashed into- lol. Either way, I prefer this location over and above the Melville one mainly because exiting the Melville parking lot onto Ruland Rd by car can be a major hassle. Sometimes I visit the Westbury location on my way back from Roosevelt field and that location is not great as far as overcrowded aisles with shopping cart gridlock and parking lot inconvenience. read more

This review is for the bakery, although I love Costco as a whole. I went back and forth where to buy a half sheet cake for my son's 1st birthday, and after many recommendations for Costco I decided to go with it. Best $18 I've ever spent. It's amazing it's so cheap, it is so delicious. The cake, the mousse, the buttercream outside...everything was fresh and yummy. Looked beautiful too. Highly recommend cakes from Costco! read more

Costco is great, for certain things. And the worst for other. I lately trying not to buy large quantities as I used to. If you look and search you can find local small places that need our support and who offer prices like Costco if not lower. I was here today, and while waiting behind a long line of customers, I decided to try and come to Costco less. It just not worth it anymore. And if you are looking for something such as an item you cant find, good luck finding someone who will help you with that. Most likely you will be wondering looking for it yourself. read more

Love shopping here.. Good samples.. look for the guy that acts like a carnival barker while doing the bakery samples.. a real hoot for all! Downside is the occasional loon that looks at the receipt on the way out.. there's one particular woman that all but dusts for finger prints on the products you buy, it's disturbing. read more

Clean store easy to navigate. They no longer have any good samples though. Years ago they had chicken nuggets, sausage, chips and salsa. Now they sample v8 and floor cleaner. Parking lot sucks but only because its always crowded and you deal with the shop rite traffic. Food court isnt bad but I did have to return a hot dog a few weeks ago for having a moldy bun. I order pies pretty regularly, hard to beat the price. The pizza is a tiny bit better than dominos. Definitely call ahead to place the order. Picked up a car battery earlier this year and later returned the old one, everything went smoothly. Lost my card once and although it was very quick and easy to generate a new one it was a big bother to the girl at customer service. Oh well. I only live with my girlfriend and you dont need the membership to use the food court so Im on the fence about renewing. read more

Long term satisfied Costco member here except for my recent visit to Commack Costco the other day. Was totally turned off and surprised about the treatment during my shopping experience. Went to self checkout with a few items where three employees were standing and approaching customers like drill sergeants. First demanding I show them my membership card and then giving orders to stand at a certain place and not move forward until given direction. Then at register have to scan my membership card again (which is to be expected). After finishing transaction with receipt in hand, I am stopped again by an employee stationed right in front of self-checkout who demanded my receipt. Puzzled why but I show it to her and ask for the reason when they are going to check my receipt at the exit. She replied with some prepared verbiage and when it became apparent to her that I wasn't buying it, she ended by saying "It's My Job". I walked on and of course receipt checked again at exit. Total unpleasant shopping trip to Costco, felt like I was being run through an in-processing at a corrections facility. I have no plans to return to this store. read more

It's ok. Parking sucks lol. A lot of people who 'need to get around faster then you' type of nonsense. The store is fairly easy to navigate, and right outside they have a wine and liquor outlet-which is nice. read more

I always love coming here. Great prices, deals, and the staff is always helpful! Highly recommended

It's fine. A-OK. You know what I really like, the samples. You can have a whole meal on the samples alone! I've been to a few different ones, including those in Canada. They're all the same. The catch, as with all big box stores - if you are the only one eating, it's a bit tough to put away 10lbs of salad before it goes off! HOWEVER, go for the meat. I believe they had a pretty sweet deal on organic chicken breasts. This particular location was moving pretty swiftly given that I went a few days before Thanksgiving. I was expecting a huge line, but we moved through quickly and maybe waited 5 minutes tops. The food line for the very berry sundae was MUCH longer unfortunately, and very sloooooooooow. I've moved around a lot in the last few years, so I hadn't seen the huge developments in the area until this past visit. GO! They now have a shoprite instead of that weird furniture store, and a Starbucks for your ...coffee...fix. PET PEEVE: WHY can't they have a pay for the day option? As a single adult, I don't have a need of the bulk goods, but sometimes I host ginormous parties or want my chicken. They could make a ton of money if they charged like $5-10 to be able to use the place for the day. Think of all of those extra bucks for the corporation! read more

I will start off by saying this is the WORST Cotsco I have ever been too. It is right down the road from my house so I gave them more chances than I typically would any other business. The staff here is completely rude, and treat different members different ways... With that being said, a gentleman was guiding people to available registers and makes a gesture to the hispanic woman ahead of me rushing her, and then told me to "hurry up". He then was polite to the caucasian woman behind me and smiled with politeness. I returned again last Saturday and had another encounter of rudeness from the cashier Victoria. I said hello to her and the older woman helping her and the looked and me with silence, never saying a word. I then said "have a good day" and was ignored. I spend a lot of money at Cotsco and am an essential frontline worker. I dont come to spend my hundreds of dollars to be met with an attitude. If you dont like your job Vitctoria, then find a new one. I shouldnt be met with a nasty atitude after a long day of saving lives at a place where I spend my money. Never again, I'll drive the extra 20 minutes to Sams Club instead. read more

I love this store. Can not walk out without spending $100. Love the big TV prices. This store is very clean. The samples are great. I can spend all day in this store. I get all my family christmas cards here. I upload my picture at home then i pick them up the next day at the store. Great quality and price. The best thing I love about this store is the rotisserie chicken. Its fresh and cost less than 6 dollars. Best price around. read more

Costco has never disappointed me as long as prices are concerned. Having good executive membership is a great advantage and gets you things at a lower price. I would say anyone buying expensive things like tv or washer or anything above $100 should check the price with Costco, it might be the case that Costco has lower price than competitors. I once bought stainless steel garbage can from Home depot for $99 and I liked it so much that I bought it right away without researching the price and later found out that same type of garbage ccan was available at costco for only $29.99. So be very ccareful when you buy expensive stuff. Happy shopping!!!! read more

This Costco is my go to shopping place for bulk shopping but I love the produce, bakery and butcher sections. The staff is always hardworking and pleasant. I just wish people would watch their kids more carefully especially when it is crowded. I'm always witnessing some near disaster waiting to happen. The parking lot gets really crowded. Park in the back and walk, you need the exercise anyway.... read more

Terrible customer service. Half the size of BJ's with half the variety and even less amenities like a Deli. Prices are almost 20% higher than in BJ's or Sam's. Cancelled my membership the same day I signed up. Not worth the money at all read more

A+ The tire center service team is excellent! I bought new tires last year & they were 70% less expensive than Mini Cooper dealer quote for the exact same tires! Last week, I drove in w a flat tire that blew out on the LEI & they were able to get a new tire from a local supplier in Deer Park in less than 1 hour while I waited for the tire to be change with NO charge bec it was under warranty. Mike & the entire team were understanding & turned an emergency situation into a seamless, quick fix that took less than 90 minutes! Highly recommend! read more

I went to Costco tire center to fix a flat I got while I was going to Costco to shop. They have a corporate policy. They are horrible because they refused to patch the tire. They only do patch/plug combination. This tires injury would not allow a plug. I asked them to just patch it. They refused. The lawyers got to the big wigs at Costco. I advise all who read this, Avoid Costco tire repair at all costs. I do not blame the employees there. I went to an independent shop. They patched it for $20. Costco would have only replaced the tire. Since this is an AWD vehicle, I would have needed 4 tires. So $1000.00 to be made whole at Costco vs. $30 including a nice tip at independent shop. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Staff members are rude. They choose to talk behind your back after you leave when you didn't do anything to them at all. Much better experiences at other Costco locations. read more

It snowed about 5 inches yesterday and we needed a snow shovel. I had called the Melville Costco to ask if they had any snow shovels left. They didn't. I asked if they could check the other Costcos in the area and I was told I would have to call them myself. Contrast that with my call to the Commack Costco. I spoke to Dan who told me they were out of snow shovels. He asked if I wanted him to check other Costcos. He did and found that they were also out of them. He even checked to see if there were orders in the computer for delivery of more snow shovels. He could not have been nicer or more consumer-friendly -- particularly in contrast to the Melville Costco which wouldn't go to the trouble. I will make it a point to go to the Commack Costco even though Melville is closer to where I live! read more

I wonder about this store. I've seen food left in isles and thought - I hope they don't put it back in the cases. I was there yesterday and had to use an electric cart, DIRTY! Bad enough having to sit in it but why can't the staff wipe the carts down? You can't use your Amex card anymore and we had to pay to renew at the register so instead of being a fast cheap purchase it was 250.00. Told my husband we would have been better off going to the grocery store in the next parking lot. I remember how great the store was years ago when you needed to be a business to shop there. As a side note; there was a older couple walking near me and the husband turned and said to his wife "Isn't that annoying!" I guess that people just don't think that people with a disability can hear. My disability is cancer, how annoying. : ) read more

Great big parking lot. Never have trouble finding a space like I used to. But that's probably because this place has gone to shits lately and is just less crowded because of it. Unfriendly greeters. Majority of staff either have resting bitch face or really hate being there. Granted most people don't look forward to going to work, at least don't let it show. Step up the customer service and at least look decently happy to be there and assist customers. #blessup read more

How can you not love Costco? It is a warehouse with everything! We utilize the vision center, we get photographs printed there, and we get many things in bulk to have for a long time. We have the executive membership, which is more expensive than the basic membership, but you get 2% cash back on all purchases. They will send you a check at the end of the year. I love the changing rotation of samples, it really makes you want to try different products they offer. The toilet paper and paper towel is a great deal and lasts us months. It will get packed on the weekends and day before a holiday. They also have a pretty good food court, you can get a half pound hot dog and a soda for $1.50, which I don't think is ever increasing in price. Definitely recommend for anyone. read more

Yes, the parking lot is terrible, but I just park at Target & walk over. It really is not that far and then I do not feel so guilty about eating those great samples. Soooo much better than BJ's which is right down the road from me. Great food, wonderful products and a well-trained and efficient staff. read more

I just moved to LI from San Jose, CA. This Costco looks mad nice. However the lack of organic food is what I am taking 1 star off for. They don't have much organic fruit, nor do they seem to have organic dairy products. I understand this isn't a lot of people's priorities but I just had a child and read that pesticides are found in higher concentrations in breast milk so I'm doing my best to eat organic when I cook for myself at home. #FACTS read more

Parking sucks but what needs to be fixed would be the customer service's attitude towards paying customers. They are the rudest people to talk to. That store lost my business and everyone that I pass the word to about them. They are just the worst Costco that I've have ever went to. However, they also need to be brought to the 21st century and e-mail when the membership is due and not snail mail it anymore!!! read more

Whomever invented that parking lot should be shot. I mean what do you expect when you put Costco next to target, next to marshals and a bunch of other commercial stores - absolute chaos. I don't ever want to go here, not when it's quiet, not during the apocalypse, not ever. However, I have to say when I get here and I'm greeted by the suspecting staff, and the overwhelming smell of various foods and baked goods being made, I can't help but to think this place is a slice of heaven (wrapped in a hellish package of course). read more

Typical costco, great for your wholesale needs. However I was here to return a $350 camera and something is terribly wrong with their system. The lady scanned in the item and completed the return but luckily I caught the error. It scanned in at the new price of $340 and only refunded the item to me at this price. It took four other girls to come over and 20 minutes later to the register to figure out how to fix the $10 error. The girls clearly understood the problem and knew what was needed to correct it but the computer would not let them do it. Costco, please update your DOS systems so your staff and patrons can have a smoother experience. (FYI, always check your returns or price adjustments. This was the second time a computer issue messed up the transaction-first time was in a PA Costco. Leading me to believe the problem is across the board) Happy shopping! read more

I have to write about my situation that happened yesterday at Costco in Commack. It was my 2nd attempt at trying to get into Costco since this "pandemic" started. Arrived with my husband around 10:30 am only to find the line wrapping along the side of the building and spilling into the parking lot. While waiting I saw several people just walk up to worker at the front door and walk in. I get indignant when I feel someone is cutting a line. So I went up to the worker and asked who was being let inside in front of the people who happened to be waiting outside on line. He said they were first responders, which I'm all for, but then it was Instacart people. Instacart people are not Costco workers and the people they are picking up orders from do not even have to belong to Costco. So why on earth are they being allowed in front of people like me and many others who have been Costco customers for many years and have spent thousands of dollars there? I also saw a few people leaving the store, maybe 4-5 people and only 1 or 2 being let in. Human nature is if you see a line then there might be a shortage. So people wait so they can get the larger size of everything. This is Costco's way of creating demand. After 10 minutes my husband said that it looked like at least another 45 minute wait so we left and spent our $400 in a nearby grocery store. Did I spend a little bit more? Possibly. But my time is worth something to me. Think about this, why are there no lines at any other grocery store? I've been going to different grocery stores once a week since mid March when covid19 restrictions were put in place. I have been able to get into every single grocery store without any problem, but not Costco where huge lines are the norm every single day. Perhaps Costco can give some feedback here. read more
