    Yes all for meeee
    Aileen K.

Okay, so I walked in here for the first time and didn't know what to choose because everything looked so good. So I decided to get the chicken nachos, small chicken tortilla salad, and a small enchilada plate. All for myself. Anyway, I was soon on my merry way with my takeout. I paired my food with an IPA, and had a feast at home with Netflix. But my enjoyment was pretty much the idea of Mexican food and beer. The food was aite. Importantly, it was salty as hell. Saltier than Chipotle. I could hardly eat any of the chicken without taking down heaps of lettuce, but because their lettuce portion sizes are teensy, I was soon out of lettuce and left with meat. The leftover meat went straight to the trash. The enchilada was pretty basic, surprisingly so. But, this place still gets 4 stars because the chicken nachos were yummy. The chips balanced out the salty chicken and somehow I managed to eat the whole thing without the chips getting soggy. Will be back for these!

Alex and Corbett took our order, made the food and checked us out. We took our food to go. Service was friendly and efficient. Food is fresh and so tasty! Thank you Costa for participating in high school fundraiser cards. We love the coupon making it possible for us to eat with you a time or two a week.

An employee Thayne with his hair hanging out over all the food!

Honestly the food is pretty good, I don't really have an issue with the food. I do have an issue with employees keeping their hair away from the food. I went there on a Saturday (7/18/2020) and a worker by the name of Thayne had his hair all the way over his visor. He was leaning all over everything and I mean EVERYRHING. there is no way he isn't getting hair in peoples food...Absolutely ridiculous!

Portions are smaller, over priced and flavors are watered down. Closed on Sunday. I prefer Chipotle.

Very similar to cafe rio but the house sauce is milder. And there are costa vidas in Washington.

The sweet pork burrito has such a good taste and the spicy ranch dip for chips reminds me of Chuys in Nashville area!

The staff was friendly, attentive, and on point throughout the visit. Service felt polished and welcoming. I ordered the Cadillac Margarita and it was excellent. Smooth, well balanced, and easily one of the highlights of the night. The atmosphere also leans toward a higher end cantina feel. Warm lighting, nice decor, and a space that feels like it wants to be elevated. Then there is the food. Instead of the usual chips and salsa, they brought out fried Mexican wheat crisps. They were fine, but they felt more like something you would grab at a Hispanic flea market than something you expect at an upscale cantina. Not bad, just unexpected, and a little confusing given the setting. We ordered the flautas and those were genuinely delicious. Crispy, flavorful, and paired with a generous portion of guacamole that really worked. No complaints there. The pozole pappardelle had good flavor, but calling it pozole based felt like a stretch. It tasted good, but it did not really hit the mark of what you expect from pozole. The amount of chicken was also pretty light, especially for a $28 dish. At that price point, you expect a more generous portion, and it just was not there. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was very good. That said, it tasted different from the last time she visited. Not necessarily worse, just different. That suggests to me that there may be some variation depending on the day, but the flavors were still solid. Overall, Perch feels like it is caught in a bit of a food limbo. The atmosphere suggests a higher end experience, but the limited menu and some of the food choices do not fully match that vibe. It is not bad, and there are definitely things done well, but it does not quite come together as a complete experience. I would go back for drinks and happy hour, but I am still undecided if it fully delivers on what it is trying to be.
