Service was great, food was outstanding in this humble local family restaurant. We split an order of chicken fajitas for lunch and it was more than enough for two people. Chicken was moist and tender, served with delicious homemade salsa and tortillas. Beans and rice were perfect. Add a side order of guacamole for the perfect meal.

Pasco for baseball, and looking forward to truly authentic Mexican food after the game. 4.5 rave reviews and read, "table side guacamole!" The marker of a special Mexican restaurant. Miss read, not only was the guacamole not fresh table side, it was closer to grey than green. The chicken enchilada was really good. Burrito, below average. Street tacos, dry. Salsa at the self-serve, watery. Their staff was very nice. Ambiance below average. Paid just under $60. Wish we had followed my instincts and enjoyed authentic Mexican fare at a taco truck.

Once seated, food was out pretty quick. I really liked that each table gets a carafe of ice water, chips, refried beans sprinkled with cheese and some salsa. We ordered birria empanadas, chicken mole, El Jefe burrito with carne asada and birria. We ordered a traditional michelada and beer. The options for salsas is one several reasons I like it here. Between the mole, grilled jalapeño and house salsas the heat was ON!! You get a choice of flour or corn tortillas, I ordered corn and they were home made, what a treat! The venue itself is unique. Indoor seating is spacious and plenty but it's freezing so bring a sweater. There is an awesome patio with lots of seating if you bring kiddos. Our server was Lily she was overwhelmed but very sweet and checked on her tables often. The server/bus-boy, didn't catch his name was very efficient and cleared tables, sat patrons, and delivered the water, chips, beans and salsa which was nice to see. Prices are also great. Make sure you try the birria ramen! That's the dish that hooked me. I'm giving this place a three star only because there was somewhat of a wait to be seated. But would definitely recommend. The prices seemed higher than usual at about $3.68 a taco, but the tacos are bigger than the usual taqueria or food truck tacos. Best of all, they're actual homemade tortillas! Absolutely delicious tortilla so I think it's worth it. I do wish there was a salsa bar that you'd find at other taquerias, but the adobada taco was so flavorful that I honestly didn't need any salsa on it. I was provided with 2 salsa cups though, just wish they had more spiciness. Will need to come back to try other items so I can upload more photos!
