Can I give 6 stars? Please? No? Whatever. This place has hands-down the best tacos in Pasco and everything is made from scratch. Their menu is like a wish list of tasty homemade Mexican foods. Everything I've had here is tremendous, oh but those tacos...drooling now. Update: evvvverything is so good here! Recommend caldo de camarones but especially the three amazing chicken enchiladas and a side of skirt steak with rice and beans for 13.99. They charge you 13.99 to walk in the door these days at their competitors. Also recommend the late night tacos outside on fri and sat nights. I've been to El Asadero a couple of times over the last decade, the most recent time I went WITHOUT a plan and had menudo (http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-asadero-pasco#hrid:36l072mTA4yt07XQk85pqQ). This time I had a plan: Tacos Al Pastor. (Well, actually I went with a Carne Asada plate, and then walked up to the cook and asked for "uno tacos al pastor?"----it was on my table in two minutes flat!) So, El Asadero is the place to get your roasted meats. The carne asada and al pastor were top notch--the al pastor was excellence bordering on heaven. I went with a bottle of modelo and they brought it out with a cup of limes and a frosted glass mug (I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to go 20th Century and say: "Can I get a what what!!"). I was feelin' this place. Oh, I also saw that they served michelada---that's the spicy beer (it was a warm Tri-Cities day, so I opted to save this for another time). Chips were brought out with a bowl of red salsa (and a small bottle if I wanted to pour extra), but what stole the show here was this other dipping concoction. I have no idea what it was. It looked some sort of oil, with chili seeds. It was smoky, and dark brownish in color (as well as vegetable oil clear). I think this might be nectar of the Gods. Whatever the case, I used it sparingly and used it on everything. Our favorite breakfast or lunch Mexican restaurant. From The fresh free chips and delicious salsas to everything that we have ordered here since day one! We're definitely a regular here and I'll keep coming back. Authenticity is key to Mexican food and freshness. Amazing variety of plates. I bring my friends here and they fell in love with it and they're picky eaters. Like the sign says inside. "This might not be a luxurious restaurant but we definitely serve tasty food and great service!" My husband and I have been to El Asadero quite a few times now. I hate that I am just now getting around to write a review for this wonderful restaurant. I would like to make incorporate this restaurant into my daily routine on Sundays. We TRY to go here MOST Sundays... but we don't always make it. Most of the time I order the SAME thing... as does my husband. I get the Caldo de Res... and he gets two tacos. Neither one of us have ever complained about our meals. I've never tried his tacos, but believe me... he has tried my caldo. I have ordered the nacho's before... and something else, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what it was. The main thing that stands out in my mind is that delicious SOUP! The Caldo de Res includes a wonderfully prepared broth that has a good amount of beef (roast of some sort), corn on the cob, potatoes, carrots and jicama. They serve it with a side of rice, limes, cilantro, onions, corn tortillas, and some smoked chili sauce that is to die for. I have NO idea how they make it, but I think the first thing they do is order the chili's from heaven.... yes, it's that good. But beware, it does have a bite. Even though it's fairly spicy, I can never get enough of it. The hubby's tacos usually come with onion, lime and cilantro. I think he usually gets a pork and maybe a beef one. The salsa that they serve with the chips is just so-so, but that's not why I do there... so it's ok with me. As long as the soup stays delish... then I'll keep going back. We ALWAYS have the same server. She is always friendly when we go in... and always serves us with a smile. GREAT!!! Sweet Hebrews for Jesus... This place is awesome! A buddy and I went on an unofficial taco-crawl while in the Tri-Cities. I was in search of al pastor, which none of the first 4 places we went to, had. The waitress at the fourth place told us that El Asadero had what we were looking for. Great service, AMAZING al pastor tacos! FYI Thu-Sat, they serve tacos in the parking lot after 4 (and until 11) for $1. Look no further than El Asadero for your Mexican food needs. This is a mom and pop operation. Pop cooks and mom waits tables. Her English is perfect. All items are reasonably priced and taste delicious. We especially enjoy the pork in green sauce and the half chicken. All entries include beans and rice, nachos with salsa and some a grilled jalapeño. Cold bottled beer is available. My wife and I always order the above and it comes to about $30. Not great atmosphere but the food is! read more

Fast service , the rice was more of a garnish and very greasy and mushy the beans were not very flavorful the only good thing was the taco.

One of my favorite haunts. I've been going there off and on when it was Gerardos and connie owned it. Lucia manages the front and her esposo Rafael is the cocinaro. El Asadero (the griller) has most of mr criteria for a good mexican restaurant. -the menus are in spanish, minimal english. -the pacifico is cold -the rellenos are great -and I am usually the only gringo in the place. Hungry for some grilled steak or chicken? This is the place. We ordered the steak and the special house half-chicken. On recommendation from the earlier review we asked for the spiciest sauce they had, and out came bowl of this smokey roast pepper sauce that I couldn't stop eating. The steak (skirt I believe) was great on it's own but spread the smokey spicy sauce on there and boom, what a knock-out! The chicken was marinated with a citrus-type sauce and was very moist, some of the best I have had. I was expecting to take some half our food, but honestly, we just couldn't stop, no leftovers here. At the end I asked the kindly woman if we could get some of the sauce to take with us, she was happy to do and gave us a half-full styrofoam cup. read more

With cold/flu season in full effect, I was in search of a good Caldo de Res and I found it here at El Asadero! It was delicious and just what I needed to start feeling better. There are many restaurants that have Caldo de Pollo but not many who have Caldo de Res, which is what I personally prefer. So happy I finally found a restaurant that serves such a delicious Caldo de Res. Thank you El Asadero! Been going here for a while now. Started mainly because I could order a burrito ala carte and actually pick it up with my hands(convenience). Now that I have tried a few different items, and learned a little about their array of sauces (smoked pepper sauce, habanero sauce house salsa etc) it has grown on me. The food is decent with decent prices. The place is small and comfy. I recommend for lunch and early dinner. You will arrive hungry and leave full which is a plus in my book. Overall a pleasant experience. This place is a tad more authentic than some so don't expect your usual fare to come out looking like it does at say a chain Mexican place. Enjoy relax and try the habanero sauce if you want to spice it up a little. read more

Consistently Excellent!!!! If you want a place that stands out amidst the myriad of Mexican Restaurants in the Tri-Cities, try El Asadero! I have been to this restaurant many, many times over the years and taken a wide range of family, friends and coworkers there to eat, and there has never been a disappointment. It's locally owned (the owner is always running the grill in the Kitchen), very clean, with wonderful service. I highly recommend the Pollo Asado, or the Chicken Tacos - be sure to ask for the Chile Asado sauce, it's made by the owner from smoked chili peppers.
