We had the best MOD experience. Not because of the atmosphere, but because of the efforts of the young man behind the counter who made our personal MOD pizzas. As we usually do, we mentioned that both of our pizzas would be dairy-free. For my wife, that is because she prefers the flavor of MOD's non-dairy cheese; my reason is medical, as I am allergic to dairy products. The young man behind the counter went above and beyond the normally excellent call of MODuty for us! As is usual, there were pieces of cheese floating in the red pizza sauce, pieces of cheese in the bacon bits container, the ham slices container, etc. This is something I have never called attention to, but the young man was very thoughtful. As I requested each topping (ham, bacon bits, mild sausage, tomato slices, onion, and green peppers), my nominee for MOD Employee of the Year would reach under the counter, open a fresh container of the ingredient devoid of cheese which I had asked for, placed those on my pizza, and moved along to the next ingredient, fresh container, until my pizza was complete. In the years of MOD pizzas I have consumed, no one has gone to the efforts of this kind young man who was working at about 2 pm on Saturday August 8 at the Richland, WA/Queensgate location. Most of the dairy-free pizzas I have enjoyed, the employees, would pick around the pieces of cheese which had fallen into the mushroom container or the onion container, and I have never suffered so much as a runny nose or a headache, thanks in part to their thoughtfulness.
