I went to Queensgate Mod Pizza tonight to get a Hawaiian pizza for me and Meaty Pepperoni for my hubby. I was the only customer at 4:00. I approached the counter and the female associate asked how many pizzas and was I choosing them or building them. I told her we were going to build. She started with the Hawaiian. I was under the impression you could ask for more of a topping if you wanted to so I asked for more marinara sauce. I asked 3x to get what I consider a regular amount. Then ham. More please, more please. Pineapple. Please put a lot on. Ok now some cheese on top. Crickets chirping. Yes, put cheese on top please. I was then told if I kept asking for more she would have to charge me for it. I'm sorry but WHAT?? Having hubby's made up was just as painful. I couldn't wait to get out. While the pizzas were cooking I got a lemonade. The first lid didn't work. Second lid didn't fit, third one was the one!! Now I put my straw wrapper and what I thought was both lids in the garbage. When I sat down to wait, one of the 2 male associates , sitting at a table, walked over, grabbed a lid i didn't get and he dramatically swiped it and threw it in the garbage then he and his buddy looked at me and started talking about me and the lid. MOD was never a real competitor in OC or LA but once I found myself in TC with nothing close to the options I used to have, I found myself at its doors hoping for the best. I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are way cheaper than a typical build-your-own, but the drawback is that the dough is a LOT more thin. This could even be seen as a positive aspect for those who stay away from carbs... but it also means that anything more than 3-4 toppings can make your pizza into a flimsy heap that needs to be held NY style (folded in half). Also odd was that their greens are one of the first choices...blazed greens are not my idea of healthy greens at all. I miss being able to top them on the pizza at the end after the pizza is removed from the heat. Oh well, you win some, you lose some... Will be back! read more

Pizzas had minimal toppings except garlic there was tons of garlic cloves...pizzas were cut very unevenly, Two pizzas were wrong sauce & wrong toppings, no pizzas were in their correspondingly tagged box, top pizza was smashed so toppings all stuck to lid, salad was partially cooked & HOT from sitting on 4 pizzas, one cake smashed in half by the cardboard box lid. Seriously?! It took more effort to shove that box lid through the cake than to just jostle the cakes into place! Customer service was atrocious! The dining room was filthy. Not a clean table in the place. Customer to employee ratio was 2:1 so there was no excuse! Only employee moving was the kid pulling the pizzas out the others were frozen in place. We eat here a couple times a month & EVERY time we get here to pick up our oder, when I call for curbside, they say it's still going to be 10 minutes...when people order ahead (especially when you order it almost an hour in advance) that is beyond horrible service. AYCE toppings? and under $8.00.....YES! This was my first visit and I was impressed with the number of fresh toppings offered as well as the variety of toppings. It's pretty cool to be able to create a customized pizza. Just remember if you add a lot of toppings ask them to cook it a few more minutes so the middle doesn't get soggy. I did not order a salad but the lady in front of me did and it actually looked really good, super fresh and was really big. There's plenty of seating indoor and out. I went in at around 6:10-6:20 and you can tell it was busy I waited in line when I saw the pizza rack full of pizzas, and I see some girls working behind where all the toppings are and I was more paying attention to the manager I believe who had a black shirt kept getting mad at her employee who had a yellow bandana on kept reaching over the manger grabbing topping to make for another pizza she reached over like 4 times and the manager kept getting bothered it was busy! Tried to get the attention of one of the workers so I wouldn't show them the lettuce in front of their other customers. No avail. She ignored me. Took the salad to the front. Showed the young workers the lettuce. First thing she asked if I wanted another salad!! No. This is how foodborne illnesses start. I would like my money back. No problem there. I told the young 20 something girl that I would be happy to wait if she wanted to dump the lettuce before she refunded my card. She looked at me like I had 2 heads. She did not have any clue as to why she should not serve any more lettuce from that bag. Crazy! Don't you have to get a food servers licence any more? Seems like Starbucks owns Mod Pizza now. We love mod pizza. As many toppings as you want!!! Go crazy! Think of the pizza crust as a base for the masterpiece you'll be creating. Keep in mind, the line is usually long at peak hours (15 min wait is pretty normal for us). You can mobile order but then you can't be picky with topping amounts (you can say "a little more please" if you're watching them make it). The inside is always clean. Their ding-dong dessert is really good and their mixed lemonade is delish. They also serve wine! I was at MOD pizza today in Richland Wa at 2803 Queensgate Dr, and there was the most horrible customer that was loud about being racist and literally told the associates off for no reason at all. The customer ordered then refused to pay and was incredibly rude as he left, the associate was amazing and said nothing to this man as he publicly tried to humiliate him for no reason at all. What a mess!! This place was overrun during the pandemic and social distancing hasn't been enforced. When I went there were at LEAST 80 people inside and the staff was packed behind the counter. That said, the staff was super nice and doing the best they could with the gigantic crowd. I had to go inside after my pickup order seemingly disappeared which I absolutely should not have done with my health problems. (During Covid winter 2021) There was a big family full of screaming children seated and eating next to the takeout counter. Eek!!
