I understand, the place was very clean, the service was superb (I was called 'Sir' and 'Boss'), the portion was great for the price, and taste was delicious! I was hungry but not ravenous, so the Medium size was appropriate. The large might be comparable to a Subway footlong, with the small being a 6-inch and the Medium falling in between. I do like a good Italian and selected Wheat bread. It is possible to customize toppings (I don't care for mustard or pickles). You can see in the cross section that the protein was layered high, and I should have asked for extra lettuce to balance it out. Loved the dressing and the seasoning on top, just a deep rich flavor and an aroma I remember when I close my eyes. On Saturday August 8 my wife and I visited our nearby MOD Pizza. It had been a long, hot day of…read morechores so we decided to go get a tasty treat, and neither one of us would have to make dinner. We had the best MOD experience. Not because of the atmosphere, but because of the efforts of the young man behind the counter who made our personal MOD pizzas. As we usually do, we mentioned that both of our pizzas would be dairy-free. For my wife, that is because she prefers the flavor of MOD's non-dairy cheese; my reason is medical, as I am allergic to dairy products. The young man behind the counter went above and beyond the normally excellent call of MODuty for us! As is usual, there were pieces of cheese floating in the red pizza sauce, pieces of cheese in the bacon bits container, the ham slices container, etc. This is something I have never called attention to, but the young man was very thoughtful. As I requested each topping (ham, bacon bits, mild sausage, tomato slices, onion, and green peppers), my nominee for MOD Employee of the Year would reach under the counter, open a fresh container of the ingredient devoid of cheese which I had asked for, placed those on my pizza, and moved along to the next ingredient, fresh container, until my pizza was complete. In the years of MOD pizzas I have consumed, no one has gone to the efforts of this kind young man who was working at about 2 pm on Saturday August 8 at the Richland, WA/Queensgate location. Most of the dairy-free pizzas I have enjoyed, the employees, would pick around the pieces of cheese which had fallen into the mushroom container or the onion container, and I have never suffered so much as a runny nose or a headache, thanks in part to their thoughtfulness. Thank you, Richland WA MOD pizza young dude behind the counter who was incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and kind. Sincerely grateful, Matthew
