Typically Costa Vida is one of my favorite places to go. This one however seems to always be out of some of their ingredients. Today when we went they were out of queso but didn't tell us until our food was already made. We also ordered a chicken soup and they somehow didn't realize that they had no chicken cooked. Typically I could get over that but it was not busy at all! Also, the lettuce in my salad was wilted and seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. read more

By far the worst Costa Vida I have ever been to. My steak burrito was very light on the steak. It tasted sub pare. Lesson learned I will just go to others I have had better luck with. read more

This place is often compared to Cafe Rio, and I have to say that it holds up very well. The food is good and the service is good. The prices are slightly better if I recall correctly. However, I do remember the horchata not being as good. read more

Americanized Mexican food. Tasty, consistent, but nothing special. They have every day student specials, which are great.

Been to this location a few times. Staff is always friendly. The food is made to order. I always end up getting the grilled chicken quesadilla. The rice and beans I always skip as I don't really enjoy them. Their chips have a hint of lime that are pretty solid. My wife gets a bowl with the beef which she always loves. By far my favorite Mexi place in all of Provo. Great for business meetings and for those that bring kids. Definitely better than Cafe Rio.

The rating says it all: Meh. It is a knock off of Cafe Rio (which is FABULOUS) and doesn't do the knocking-off any justice. The food was ok, the service ok and the atmosphere is ok. So my 5 star rating is contingent on one thing. You need to be a student! Let me explain, when you are a student you can get any "daily special" any day of the week. That means you can get the two pork enchiladas (think pork burrito enchilada style) rice, beans and a drink for 5.99! Sure cafe rio might have the edge on them taste wise but not by much at all. I come here at least once a week. I get a small salad with either chicken or shredded beef- both delicious. The small is also very filling and satisfying so no need to get regular. Usually get it to go because the atmosphere isn't that pleasant. Overall much better than cafe rio read more

We went to Costa last night and the service was fantastic and our food was delicious! We love Costa!

The food is okay/good. Never been great but it's something to eat. My biggest problems come from the workers and the play area they have for the kids. It is very obvious that kids area is not well attend. The netting is all ripped up and the areas that were once blocked to stop kids from getting behind the equipment is gone. Which now allows the kids to climb on top of the slid and fall off. This is very dangerous and has been like that for months. My biggest problem is with the employees. Some are nice and some are not. My family and I have been going here for the last 4ish years and it was really good at the beginning. But with the manager the employees have become more rude and not as friendly as they once were. Plus you can see they are not happy. The last time we visited one of the employees got upset with a costumer who seemed to have a hard time of communicating with them. It's already hard to hear there but the employee got upset because the costumer couldn't understand his question. So the employee was clearly frustrated and insulted the costumer by saying "I asked you how many meals do you have? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 10" (he really counted to 10) in a really snide and condescending voice. The costumer finally understood and said two. Then the employee slides the food off to the side and out of his way. This upset me so much that I after getting my food I sat down and asked another employee to speak with the manager. Turns out the employee who was rude was the was the manger. I confronted him about what he did and how I was upset with the way he treated the other costumer. He tried to tell me that he is a regular there and its fine. Plus he (the employee) is Hispanic and so it is okay because his English isn't good. He spoke just fine with me because I spoke English the whole time and he spoke it back without any problems. He did not want to accept that he was rude and didn't think he did anything wrong. This incident was bad enough that my family and I will not go back there as long as he is working there and it didn't even have anything do with me. With this continually decline I don't see myself or my family going back anytime soon. read more

The manager is extremely rude and does not set a good example of customer service to his other staff. He kept slamming the to go plate on the counter every time I would ask for something. He even refused to give me extra lettuce when I said I was ok to pay more for the extra. He just made a rude face at me, ignored my request and pushed my order down the line towards the cashier. I will never eat there again! Very upset with the service I received. No one should be treated this way, especially not a paying customer. read more

I like this place better than Cafe Rio flavor-wise. The raspberry chicken chipotle is my favorite. It some "smothered" as standard so no extra fee for that. read more

I found out minutes before I was to pick up food for a business meeting that all the orders were wrong and had a pick up date for the following day. This was not the only occurrence that this has happened. The following week the exact same thing happened. The food is great, but take out orders are a joke and are unreliable. read more

I wasn't aware that Costa Vida offered a rice and bean burrito, but apparently that's what I just paid $7.50 for. I actually ordered a sweet pork burrito, unfortunately that seems to consist of maybe half an ounce of meat, not enough cheese to taste, and a bunch of boring rice and beans. I wish I was exaggerating here but I literally didn't get one shred of pork until I was about 2/3 done with my burrito, I got one bite of it, and then the rest was just rice and beans again. So that was pretty frustrating to say the least. On top of that, the staff all seemed like they would rather be bleeding from the eyes than be working, and the music was obnoxiously loud. I can honestly say I've never had a worse experience at a restaurant, which is why I created a yelp account just to write this. Super disappointing. read more
