Our group of 9 visited during Spring break, so we had to wait about 20 min. We didn't think it was that bad a wait considering it was packed. We ordered 3 pizzas and an Italian hoagie. It was the meaty, veggie and 1/2 plain and 1/2 pepperoni. We are from NJ/Philly and considering that, it was pretty good pizza. We have tried many places in OBX, and the dough is usually way too thick, but Cosmos was nice and thin, except the crust. We would definitely go back again. Cosmos a good little spot in Corolla light that is a staple in our vacation every year. But let's call a spade a spade you go there for the comradery the food is average. The boneless wings are ok we couldn't order normal because there is some sort of shortage which is unheard of because I can to food lion and buy like 13 packs of Chicken wings but whatever. The pizza you can take it or leave it it's no New York pizza but it gets the job done it's better than that giant pie place. One thing I don't understand is why they took out half the seating area for a gift shop which is the main reason we waited 45mins before being seated. The service was good but didn't understand why the drinks were self serve because when I go to restaurant and sit down I expect to be served but besides that can't complain they treated us well. The garlic knots aren't very good tasted like warm car tires if we are being honest really had no flavor as well as the marinara sauce. I got a cheese pizza for carry out and thought it was decent. It didn't exactly exceed any expectations I had but my dad really enjoyed their crust since the pizza wasn't greasy at all. I think if you're pressed for some quick and easy food it's not a bad place to try but nothing exactly special about it either. read more

Pizza was delicious, the waiter recommended ordering a half and half, great choice. We had half Cosmos Supreme and half white crab pizza with white sauce, spinach and tomatoes. My daughter has peanut, dairy, and gluten allergies. She had the best pizza she's ever eaten. It was BBQ and chicken. The waiter even had them make it special since the sauce had dairy in it. This place is terrific. Phil took my order for a pizza and it was perfect. The crust was perfect, and in fact the whole pie was delicious. He was super nice when we arrived in the shop. He said it would take 35 minutes because they were super busy. Our drive up from Southern Shores took us about that, so it really didn't matter. We ordered food a few times during our vacation. On one occasion, we ordered a plain cheese pizza for pickup at 6:28pm on a week day off season. The stated wait was 25 minutes. When we arrived at 7pm, the pizza was ready but we had to wait a bit as there was one person working. Not sure how the experience would be like during peak hours in the summer, but ordering before you are hungry is probably a safe bet. We also ordered bread sticks on other occasions. The restaurant looks unassuming externally, but the inside is big. The pizza was great! The crust is hand tossed and freshly made. There's a right balance of cheese and tomato sauce. The pizza does not taste too salty like most commercial chain restaurants do to try to hide the fact their ingredients are not fresh. Will definitely go back. The bread sticks are the best we have ever tried. They were huge and not too salty, in a twisted style like the Chinese crullers. You may want to ask for extra dipping sauce because they only give a smaller jar. If you order online, you can even save $5 off $15 or more of your first order. My brother and I ordered a pizza and we were put on hold for 7 minutes. We were unsure whether or not we were actually on hold (weird beeping noise) until someone picked up and mumbled something quickly and then more beeping. Since we weren't sure what was said, we hung up and called back. The guy who answered the phone said very loudly in an exasperated manner "can you PLEASE hold" and someone in the background yelled "HOLD!". The beeping continued until a woman picked up. We explained that it would be helpful if they spoke more clearly when putting people on hold to avoid confusion and she said in an unfriendly tone "we are busy!". Here on vacation, all 14 of us. Needed a quick meal for our first night. We ordered $150 worth of food for pick up and it was ready in 25min. Everything was good, ready when we got there, and the order was correct. The young man that took our order on the phone was pleasant and efficient. Salads were fresh and the Italian dressing was homemade and delish! Pizza was good, we're from NYC soooo... comparisons are rough lol so just can't give 5 stars. Subs and other stuff were great! Below average pizza and wings. We ordered 7 pizzas and wings. The toppings on the pizza are sparse. Example, the sausage pizza had little 1/2 inch pieces of sausage with an average of just 2-3 per slice. With so few of toppings all the pizzas looks the same. The wings were average at best. To top it off the service is very slow. For an average busy pizza parlor, 7 pies is hardly a big order. We ordered and were told it would be 45 mins. 90 mins later we finally had our order. I only had a bite of Cosmo's Pizza since I had already eaten, but my husband wanted to go in and check it out. He ordered a slice to go and I will say I was really impressed by the authenticity of the pizza. It very much resembles NY style and quality. Quite honestly if I was supposed to do a taste test and I was told to pick out which one was from NY and which was from NC I don't think I could tell you. The inside of the restaurant is really clean and they have a nice setup with booths, tables and bar seating. The only part of the experience that put me off a little was the guy behind the counter. This is apparently a new location for Cosmo. Called to order and told 1 hour. Came in at one hour and place packed with irate customers complaining about ridiculous wait times. I guess too much business is a good problem to have. At least until word gets out. Would not return. This is only pizza. Plenty of other choices. I would comment on the pizza but it is one hour 40 minutes and I'm still waiting. I'm guessing it is not worth it. STAY AWAY!!!!! This place is crazy busy so make sure you call ahead. The takeout time on a Saturday at 8 pm was almost 2 hours!! We ended up going to the restaurant and were seated pretty quickly. We got the white crabby pizza. The pizza was great but we will probably try a different kind next time. So... my expectations were very low. How good could pizza be and this beach town? Started off rocky... very rocky. Seating was tough and we ended up at the bar with no intentions of drinking. This really isn't fair to the business because as we all know bar money is important at a bar. The bar tender was clearly frustrated with seating issues and there was only one server (both of these guys turned out to be super friendly and nice once the frustration cleared). Being from New Jersey my pizza ratings are super tough. We ate pizza several times in OBX and everywhere sucked. This place... "bangin" bar pie. I couldn't believe how good the pizza was. Well cooked, sauce was mild sweet, and cheese was good. Also tried the bbq chicken pizza which was also great, but I wouldn't classify it as anything but a specialty pizza. All in all this place was great and I would highly recommend it. I am sure there will be a wait so it's just something your going to have to deal with. All of the other places around close at 8pm and they close at 9, so avoid that time frame because the place will be mobbed. read more

Ordered early morning online - margarita pie, garlic knots, fried pickles, and a regular size salad for a 6 PM pick up. Arrived there at 5:50. No issues. Food was ready by 5:58. Pizza is not bad for someone coming from NY (no comparison to a Deninos or Brothers pie). Decent tasting pie a little on the heavy or soggy side but it was ok. Pizza had decent flavor. Also note the Large pie isn't that big. Nothing like NY size. Fried pickles were very good and so was the garlic knots. Regular salad was a good size and was enough for family of four (2 adults & 2 teenage kids). Overall if your really in the mood for pizza this place isn't that bad compared to the pizza in Duck we had last week which tasted like a frozen pizza you'd buy at the food store. read more

Pretty steep for 2 pizzas and a hoagie. Was not impressed with the customer service when I went to pick up. Felt like I was bothering them that I was buying pizza from them.
