This place is terrific. Phil took my order for a pizza and it was perfect. The crust was perfect, and in fact the whole pie was delicious. He was super nice when we arrived in the shop. He said it would take 35 minutes because they were super busy. Our drive up from Southern Shores took us about that, so it really didn't matter. Here on vacation, all 14 of us. Needed a quick meal for our first night. We ordered $150 worth of food for pick up and it was ready in 25min. Everything was good, ready when we got there, and the order was correct. The young man that took our order on the phone was pleasant and efficient. Salads were fresh and the Italian dressing was homemade and delish! Pizza was good, we're from NYC soooo... comparisons are rough lol so just can't give 5 stars. Subs and other stuff were great! This is apparently a new location for Cosmo. Called to order and told 1 hour. Came in at one hour and place packed with irate customers complaining about ridiculous wait times. I guess too much business is a good problem to have. At least until word gets out. Would not return. This is only pizza. Plenty of other choices. I would comment on the pizza but it is one hour 40 minutes and I'm still waiting. I'm guessing it is not worth it. STAY AWAY!!!!! My brother and I ordered a pizza and we were put on hold for 7 minutes. We were unsure whether or not we were actually on hold (weird beeping noise) until someone picked up and mumbled something quickly and then more beeping. Since we weren't sure what was said, we hung up and called back. The guy who answered the phone said very loudly in an exasperated manner "can you PLEASE hold" and someone in the background yelled "HOLD!". The beeping continued until a woman picked up. We explained that it would be helpful if they spoke more clearly when putting people on hold to avoid confusion and she said in an unfriendly tone "we are busy!". The pizza was mediocre and I would suggest going somewhere with better customer service. read more

So... my expectations were very low. How good could pizza be and this beach town? Started off rocky... very rocky. Seating was tough and we ended up at the bar with no intentions of drinking. This really isn't fair to the business because as we all know bar money is important at a bar. The bar tender was clearly frustrated with seating issues and there was only one server (both of these guys turned out to be super friendly and nice once the frustration cleared). Being from New Jersey my pizza ratings are super tough. We ate pizza several times in OBX and everywhere sucked. This place... "bangin" bar pie. I couldn't believe how good the pizza was. Well cooked, sauce was mild sweet, and cheese was good. Also tried the bbq chicken pizza which was also great, but I wouldn't classify it as anything but a specialty pizza. All in all this place was great and I would highly recommend it. I am sure there will be a wait so it's just something your going to have to deal with. All of the other places around close at 8pm and they close at 9, so avoid that time frame because the place will be mobbed. read more

Ordered early morning online - margarita pie, garlic knots, fried pickles, and a regular size salad for a 6 PM pick up. Arrived there at 5:50. No issues. Food was ready by 5:58. Pizza is not bad for someone coming from NY (no comparison to a Deninos or Brothers pie). Decent tasting pie a little on the heavy or soggy side but it was ok. Pizza had decent flavor. Also note the Large pie isn't that big. Nothing like NY size. Fried pickles were very good and so was the garlic knots. Regular salad was a good size and was enough for family of four (2 adults & 2 teenage kids). Overall if your really in the mood for pizza this place isn't that bad compared to the pizza in Duck we had last week which tasted like a frozen pizza you'd buy at the food store. read more

Came for pizza while on vacation, the Crab pizza was amazing, wings were solid and albeit expensive, it's tourist season, so have to accept you're going to pay a premium. I only had a bite of Cosmo's Pizza since I had already eaten, but my husband wanted to go in and check it out. He ordered a slice to go and I will say I was really impressed by the authenticity of the pizza. It very much resembles NY style and quality. Quite honestly if I was supposed to do a taste test and I was told to pick out which one was from NY and which was from NC I don't think I could tell you. The inside of the restaurant is really clean and they have a nice setup with booths, tables and bar seating. The only part of the experience that put me off a little was the guy behind the counter. Ordered a large cheese pizza, a large pepperoni pizza and an Italian hoagie for pick up. Person taking the order had a hard time understanding me because pizza place was so loud. Total was $42. Pretty steep for 2 pizzas and a hoagie. Was not impressed with the customer service when I went to pick up. Felt like I was bothering them that I was buying pizza from them. Cheese pizza barely had enough cheese on it to even call it a cheese pizza. Seemed like the cheese was an after thought. Hoagie was meh. Pizza was meh. Sauce was too spicy for the kids. Below average pizza and wings. We ordered 7 pizzas and wings. The toppings on the pizza are sparse. Example, the sausage pizza had little 1/2 inch pieces of sausage with an average of just 2-3 per slice. With so few of toppings all the pizzas looks the same. The wings were average at best. To top it off the service is very slow. For an average busy pizza parlor, 7 pies is hardly a big order. We ordered and were told it would be 45 mins. 90 mins later we finally had our order. We had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. Not only was the bartender who served us above and beyond rude, my friend and I were charged two different times for the same meal. We saved our receipt and when we tried to call them to have the second charge refunded, we were told that "sometimes this happens" and that there is nothing they can do. This is absolutely unacceptable and we reported it to the bank. Very unfortunate since the food was great. We will never go back. read more
