Pizza is the closest on OBX that you will get to a good pie in NNJ/NY. They had quite a wait when we ordered but it was good.

Look out OBX, the king of pizza is here! Well worth the wait and service was top notch. Love the statue of the Italian chef outside. The inside is your typical pizza joint. Classic pictures on the wall. My wife is always in search of a good white pizza. You would be amazed at often they miss the mark. Not Corolla Pizza & Deli. Y'all hit it out of the park! Fresh ingredients, delicious blend of mozzarella & ricotta cheeses with fresh garlic and spices. Crust was delicious. The other pizza we ordered was a cheese with pepperoni. The sauce was amazing and cupping was perfect. Everyone loved both pizza's. Worth the drive from Duck. Next time we will be in Nags Head and yes, we will make the drive. Their pizza is some of the best I've ever had - I crave their pizza once I leave Corolla. My favorite pizza of theirs is definitely the "works" pizza, but their cheese, pepperoni, and margherita pizza were all the bomb. Big size, hot and fresh, lots of ooey gooey sauce and toppings. Suchhhh good pizza, I highly recommend! The only downside was ordering was difficult during high season. They were so busy they did not answer the phone. I also tried their wings, they were plain with the sauce on the side and they were super tasty as well, I'm glad the sauce was just on the side since I do not like buffalo sauce and that's the only sauce option for wings they offered. The sauce was tomatoey and well seasoned, slightly sweet but not overly sweet. We ordered pepperoni and cheese, the amount of both was well balanced with the sauce. We also ordered hot wings and a bag of fries. The wings were meaty and crispy. They were deep-fried but not greasy. I would call these the best wings I've ever had. I've been coming to this place for over 30 Years. Hands down, my favorite food places in The Outer Banks. Their pizza is never greasy, and always fresh. I stopped eating dairy some years ago, and even without cheese the pizza is delicious. I also think they have some great burgers, they taste very nostalgic to me. This is the best rated pizza place in Corolla and for good reason! The pizza is very good with quality toppings and sauce. The wait was long - an hour and a half but it was worth the wait. Especially when you can go next door and get a beer at the Beer Garden. We also got wings, and they were pretty pitiful. They were tiny and overcooked, so stick with the pizza. Well we had 4 meals from this place this week. The pizzas and Stromboli were very good. however this evening we had the Italian cold sub without banana peppers. For the amount paid the sandwich meats were very thin and skimpy. on the one sandwich the cheese was missing entirely. full of green tomatoes, lettuce and onions. The roll was past it's freshness date, however it was a better texture for a sub then many rolls we have had. we are from PA so we know a good hoagie/sub. this was not it. so go enjoy the delicious pizzas, skip the subs. read more
