Purchased iron on 10/16/17 - Never used and in box.
Return 12/5/17 - lady behind the register said "It's December" we can only give you an exchange. I said it has not been 60 days yet. I asked, "Are you sure?" She said, "Yes, I'm sure. It's December." I took the iron and my receipt and grabbed my cellphone to pull up the calendars. I then counted from Oct. 16th through December 5th and got 50 days with 10 days to spare. I approached her at the register again. Showed her the calendar...starting with October 17th. Telling her that would be day 1. So I counted for her. Then we got to November. I told her, "I'm not counting the individual days - There are 30 days in November, so let's add 15 days from October then another 30 for November. Today is the 5th of December. So another 5 would be 50 days." I asked her, "Now what are you going to tell me?" I can't refund because my manager said that you can only exchange because it's been 60 days." I looked at her dumb founded and shook my head.
I immediately asked her to speak with her manager. She said, "My manager is on lunch break." I said, "I don't care if she's on break. It's been less than 60 days and I would like my refund." The register lady walked towards the back of the store. The manager walked up the aisle and asked, "Did my employee explain our policy?" I said, "Yes and I counted the days with her on my calendar. It's been less than 60 days. I'll show you on my calendar and will count for you too." By this time it's been 20 minutes since I requested a refund. I went through the whole process again and counted for her. Then told her, "I technically have another 10 days." She yelled for her employee from the front because she was in the back of the store and said, "Go ahead and give her a refund."
The lady behind the register was in the process of giving me a refund. I asked her, "Do you know why I am upset?" She said, "I don't want to discuss this any further." After I signed the refund receipt I left the store fuming as they were both ignorant and could not do basic math.
I can't believe these two women are representing this company. read more
