Monica, my nail tech, was very sweet, personable, and she did a great job. Her teacher came by to make some edits during the process which I thought was neat because they were ensuring my nails looked just right. A downside though is that the place is a bit run down, so the ambience isn't too great. But hey, my nails look bomb and the people were nice, which is more than I can say compared to a few higher-priced salons I've been to! If you're looking for a gel mani and you're on a budget, give this place a try!

My experience with Top Line Beauty College was extremely disappointing, largely because of one staff member, Kim. She often acts as though she runs the entire school and creates an uncomfortable environment for students. Over the years, I have heard similar concerns from numerous coworkers, classmates, and colleagues who felt they were treated unfairly or disrespectfully. Students come to beauty school to learn, grow, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Instead, many feel intimidated and afraid to speak up. A learning environment should encourage students, not make them feel fearful or anxious. Based on my experience and the experiences shared by others, I would not recommend this school. The negative atmosphere created by certain staff members overshadows what should be a positive educational experience.

There are cons to this business regarding payment and receipt: 1. The credit card processing fees are responsible to the business owners, not the customers. But this business is passing that fee to the customers. 2. Credit card processing fees average 1.5% - 3.5% per swipe. But this business is charging 30%. 3. Credit card processing fees apply, but the customer wasn't advised of such a charge. I didn't know until I checked the receipt. 4. The receipt wasn't clear how a regular manicure was added, but then a separate charge of gel polish was added on. Briefly looking at it, I thought I got charged with 2 manicures, one for a regular and the other was for gel. I paid for a gel manicure, but somehow forgot and asked for a regular polish for my mom. They gave a credit for the price of the gel polish on our next visit, which is fair. But, maybe keep it simple by labeling it as one service; gel manicure. Making it 2 services of regular manicure and gel polish is a little complicated. I would say they average out about a 4. But instructor Thao left me a very good impression. Let's raise it to a 5.

Then when she did my make up (I'm the bride) I loved it at first look but then my bridesmaids did their duties lol and they would point out things that I hadn't seen at first look such as there was a chunk of foundation under my chin so I asked Crystal to fix it please which she did but then I told her I wanted a different shade of lipstick and she just wouldn't budge she kept repeating the one she put was already great. So I gave in (probably shouldn't) it was my special day. To top it off when it was time to pay she requested cash (ahead of time) she was telling my bridesmaids that it was more than agreed. I then told her she couldn't change the price without giving us any notice also due to the fact that we had exact amount plus some tip. She then started going back and forth with me about how she told me it was $160 for each. At that moment I pulled out my cell phone and started retrieving the texts in where she had told me the specific price for each(luckily I kept it). Once she noticed that she then said it's fine let's keep it at $150. I was soo disappointed because I kinda didn't like the fact that she also did my daughter hair and make up with was soo minimal with the make up only shadow and gloss on a 9 year old and as for her hair just a nice bun yet she still charged me $150 as if it was complicated like and adult.
