This new kid on the block is doing a lot of things, and doing a lot of them well. To start, the atmosphere is pretty cool. It's open and welcoming whether you sit outside (fire pits!!) or inside. Superbly casual - you feel like you could walk in in loafers and code away. Their beer selection is local, fun, and a bit pricey! I love the fact that it is so similar to Radio Coffee & Beer: Beer, Coffee & Mexican tacos - 3 best things under 1 roof! Pueblo Viejo food-truck outside offers some excellent tacos. My husband and I were visiting Austin on vacay and wanted to try a local coffee house so we ubered up to Cosmic. What a rad vibe! I loved the garden atmosphere filled with folks visiting, working, and relaxing. The chicken coop and fish pond are fun. Doggies are everywhere! I appreciate that they request that kids be gone by 9 pm; I think more establishments should do that. I wish we had caught some live music and the food trucks offered ample options but we didn't partake so I can't speak on those things. What we DID have was the Corajilla, which was a fabulous boozy coffee drink worthy of a 5 star review for this establishmen. This concoction was crafted with care by the friendly dude behind the bar. We've come here twice recently, once on a cold day where we sat indoors and about a week later with a few friends for a drink when it was warmer and we sat outside. Both times were great and the versatility of Cosmic is amazing. The first time we had coffee, a bagel, and a pumpkin bread slice. The coffee was great quality, recently roasted and brewed well. The bagel was fresh, and the brisket cream cheese in particular was delicious. The second time we had some craft beer, of which they have a great selection. I had a 512 Pecan Porter, and my wife had a Lakewood Temptress Imperial Stout. The former is easy to find in Austin but the latter is a bit more rare. They also had a great selection of canned/bottled beer. Food/drink aside though, one of the most noticeable things about Cosmic is its overall ambiance and environment - the attention to detail of the different areas in terms of both style and function is pretty impressive. Outdoors they have many chairs/benches, and nearly all of them have fire pits around. Indoors there's a clean linear flow for the line to the cash register, but there's also a second entry/exit by the tables in case it gets crowded. And outside, the space also expands to be adjacent to the food trucks, so you can get coffee from Cosmic and easily get breakfast tacos from one of the food trucks for example. read more

Cosmic Coffee is all the things! All the good things you'd want in a coffee shop and then some (they have chickens that live on premise, they have bags for doggy , and more to observe)! The outdoor area is spacious AF and the indoors isn't claustrophobia inducing, either. Their oat milk lattes are delicious, service is excellent, place is clean and well taken care of. Great little spot! The ambience of this coffee shop/beer garden is really unlike anything I've seen in a while. The atmosphere really draws you in, it's quite beautiful, especially if you really enjoy it around the sunset it was really beautiful. I've only had the Strawberry Moon, but the drink itself didn't have too strong of an alcohol taste if that's something you're looking for! It looked totally awesome, could not ask for a better looking Margarita, but did not feel much alcohol or much flavor. It was the most beautiful looking Margarita, but very low grade for my taste buds. Friends had frozen coffee and that was a big hit. Really like this place! Two of my favorite things coffee and alcohol! Love the ambiance - love the outside and inside. Came here during a visit to Austin and I have never seen a concept so awesome. There are 3 different food trucks outside for when you're hungry and a full bar plus coffee. What more is there to say? I will say that I came here on a Thursday night and it was crowded so maybe come earlier? There is also a business that shares the same parking lot so i'm not sure if it was super crowded or tough to find parking because of the surrounding businesses as well. It is a really cool atmosphere and while there is a ton of seating outside (including fire pits, water features, etc...) that are neat, however there was limited indoor and covered seating when I came on a colder day. Truly would be the only downfall about this place, but I'd definitely say if you like coffee/beer/cocktails and want an awesome vibe you need to go here immediately. read more

This place is great! My husband and I joined friend's on a Sunday afternoon for a birthday and it was such fun! It reminds me of a more chill Moontower. So, the location is a little tucked away...you have to follow a trail to get to the entrance. It's spacious and comfortably, though. There's a lot of picnic tables and outdoor places to sit, and there's a lot of vegetation and nature around. A Koy pond and a chicken coop add even more beauty. The interior is spacious and there is plenty of bar space to order. Outside there are also several food trucks to choose from...I ordered tacos from one and they were excellent! The dranks are reasonably priced and good! They have a good wine and beer selection and the craft cocktails are excellent, without being overly sugary. My favorite was the cocktail sampler. For $20 you get 4 of their signature cocktails...totally worth it! Definitely kid and dog friendly. And an excellent place to just gather with friends or do some work away from work. read more

One of the coolest places I've ever had coffee. There's a selection of coffees to choose from (including boozy). In addition they accommodate dietary restrictions- they have almond milk and also have gluten free baked goods. The beer selection looks awesome; unfortunately I wasn't able to try any. The staff is incredibly friendly. There are a variety of food trucks outside on the property. At 9am one of them seemed to be serving some breakfast. The others are barbecue trucks that must open a little later on. Whether you sit inside or outside the atmosphere is very chill and enjoyable. I definitely want to return! read more
