Nightmare on Steroids!!! Making the appointment for repairs on my Ford truck was relatively easy, but it was ALL downhill from there. When I took the truck in I was met by a service advisor who repeatedly hinted that she was new in that role, and the length of time it took to check the truck in certainly would attest to that. The next morning, I got a long list of service recommendations in addition to the repair on the mechanism of the windshield wipers that I requested (we are, after all, headed into winter). I was told that the tires are not the same size, which could cause damage to the differentials. Actually, the tires are the same size, but one tire has more tread because it was replaced more recently due to damage to the previous tire. This still might have the potential to cause problems when placed in four-wheel drive, and so I looked at their recommendations to replace the tires. Strangely, they recommended 18" tires for my 20" rims. Reading tire sizes is not exactly rocket science, and so if they can't even get that right, it is hard for me to trust that they can deal with the much more complicated repairs of a 6.7 liter turbo diesel engine. They also claimed that the power mirror motor was not functioning, which is really strange given that it was working fine when I dropped the truck off ($466.62). The right front door check was worn? Maybe - but $257.59? They did the alignment (one spec was a little off) ($149.95) and now the center steer does not feel quite right. They did repair the missing lock for the windshield wipers ($244.29), but then charged me $82.46 to replace the windshield wiper blades (about a 90 second job, or less since they were already working on the assembly). How about a startling $327.96 to clean off the battery cable ends???? And then there was the $3,244.72 for the 100k service and $593.05 to replace the coolant overflow hose and $224.97 to pull a rodent nest from the turbo area and let's not forget the $88.36 for environmental/misc. fees. I tried many, many, many times to reach "my" service advisor, but I guess she had a doctor's appointment, and left no one else to help me understand the recommendations and costs!!! Each time I tried to reach a service advisor I was promised that I could talk to someone, but every single time I was sent to voicemail!!! So, after nearly $6000 (and absolutely no communication) - which would have been much more if I had opted to buy the 18" tires for my 20" rims (and paying an extra day for my rental vehicle because they didn't let me know it was done until it was too late for me to pick it up) I did finally go to pick it up, and "my" service advisor was too busy to help me. Being unwilling and unable to waste any more time sitting and waiting, another service advisor checked me out, but could NOT answer a single question due to the fact that he was not "my" service advisor. I know that this kind of "service" is not characteristic of all Ford dealers - they have a great service department at the dealer in Burley, Idaho. Goode Ford would often discount services and charge me less than what I had agreed to. Unfortunately, Burley is a 1,061 mile round trip from where I live. So, if you have a Ford, I recommend that you learn from my experience and that you go anywhere but here!!! read more

Dangerous, dishonest, and dismissive -- avoid at all costs. I brought my vehicle to Corwin Ford in October 2024 for routine service, which turned into a nightmare. After paying over $4,800 across two visits, I left with serious safety issues that they either caused or failed to repair -- including brake lights that didn't work and cruise control that wouldn't disengage on the highway. My pregnant wife and I narrowly avoided multiple accidents because of their negligence. After the first incident, their service advisor admitted they were at fault and promised to fix it for free. I canceled a full day of work and waited 7 hours in their uncomfortable waiting room, only to be charged again -- despite their prior commitment to cover the cost. Worse yet, the car was still broken. When we called back, Schell Tingley, the service manager, spoke to my wife -- who had just explained how she nearly died. His response? "Based on what I know about you, that wouldn't be the worst thing." Utterly unprofessional and inexcusable. We then took the car to an independent mechanic who confirmed that Corwin Ford billed us for a part they never installed. The factory-original brake lamp switch was still in the vehicle, and the replacement part number they charged us for didn't even match. This isn't just bad service -- it's fraud, incompetence, and a complete disregard for customer safety. I took them to court, and even there, they refused to take accountability. If you care about your safety, your family, or your money -- stay far away from Corwin Ford and Schell Tingley. read more

We visited Corwin to view a Ford Bronco, initially interested in the Badlands trim. Sales representative Jeffery Taylor greeted us--he seemed personable at first, and our early interactions were positive. During our discussion, he explained that to get the features we wanted, we'd need to upgrade to the Outer Banks trim. Since none were available on the lot, we left. About a week later, Jeffery contacted me to say an Outer Banks had arrived. I scheduled a test drive and was satisfied with the vehicle. My wife test drove it the next day and was equally pleased, so we began negotiations. When I inquired about pricing flexibility--knowing from my research that the sticker price exceeded invoice--I encountered my first issue. Jeffery stated the price was non-negotiable and seemed offended by my question. Our goal was to consolidate two vehicles into one by trading in our 2019 Nissan Murano Platinum and 2022 Polaris Slingshot R. The initial trade-in offer for the Murano was disappointing--a full $5,000 below what I knew to be fair market value based on my research. Regarding the Slingshot, Jeffery informed us they couldn't provide a valuation because none of their contacts would accept it. Interestingly, I found a private buyer for it two weeks later without difficulty. Overall, my impression was that the dealership wasn't flexible or genuinely interested in earning our business. So.. I reached out to this dealership because I had just had a newborn and needed a vehicle for my family after going back and forth to work with a Uber. I found them they had the car I thought was safe which was a third row. I am 7 hours away so I told my sales rep Carlos Gonzalez Jr. I wanted to make sure the car was clean, detailed and had gas so I would be ok. I get the car and I am ready to put my kids carseats in because I have a newborn, 2 year old, 6 year old and 13 year old and I go to the trunk and it's sand all in the trunk.I am like humm.. so I go to the third row and push the seat back and It's beyond nasty. Women hair strands are all on the floor, dirt everywhere, a mens work badge and the worse part some mens Hanes nasty underwear on the floor see pictures. I go back to my email and saw they told me the car was cleaned and finding this almost made me throw up. I was furious because my 6 year old was outside with me and could have caught something. I immediately email the sales rep and his manager and no one gets back to me. I give them a day then I reach out because this car is nasty and needs to be sanitized I don't install any car seats and sit back and image was was only done in this car.. I hear back from the manager Travis May after I threaten to blast this online he says he would pay me to get the car detailed after I went and had to lysol and wipe down things because I was disgusted. I think ok- it's an effort. So I drive the car and I am hearing a rattling noise and I am like is the car about to fall apart.. I go take the car to Land Rover and bam.. They want 3k of repairs. They sell you a car and don't take responsibility for how the cars are. But they tell you everything was tapped off and done before you get the car so beware. So this manger Andrew Springer reaches out to me and I email him all the service details on what needs to be fixed around 1pm. He did not get back to me so I texted him around 4 ish and he tells me he can't help me because I did not purchase their warranty., The car is a Land Rover and they are Ford and no one told me about their warranties. What does that have to do with them selling me a car that was in an accident which they claim they serviced and they did not know the car was making nosies, had bad break pads that were rusted and needs all the fluids done? What am I missing? Then I email the sales rep he says that Mr. Andrew tried to reach out and I did not answer. That's some bs. because when he reached out I got with him within mins. Not impressed with this dealership. We went in during the week to look at used vehicles that were advertised online. We were looking for low miles and a newer SUV. The salesman was rather new and could not do much to help us. he couldn't even locate the vehicles. He was trying to use his phone for every question we asked and to try and find the units for us to look at. That was very time consuming and we were roaming for lot wasting time. If this dealership would put the information that a buyer needs to know right on the vehicle it would make things easier for the salesperson and the buyer. Why not be proud of the units you are selling and the prices? No, instead they want you to have to deal with the salesperson to find the information you need before you can make an educated decision. We found a couple SUV's that we would have considered buying but he could not answer our questions or tell us anything about them. Educate your salespersons before you put them out with potential buyers that way no one wastes their time. I won't buy from a lot that can not help me or who is not friendly and accommodating. And worst thing that I want to hear from a salesperson is "What is your budget", that's and insult. We plan to pay cash for a vehicle and we realize not everyone can do that but the salesperson trying to find out how much you can afford is not helpful. We buy what we like, plain and simple. He is professional, engaging and responsive. He exhibits a quality few salespeop[le have which is to say when he does not know the answer to a question or is not sure. Corwin Ford's after sale service is worse than poor. We left multiple emails and voicemails to have someone explain the Forde new car warranty and the xtended warranty that we purchased. Multiple voice mails regarding the purchace of a donut spare tire & jack were unanswered (the ford Bronco does not have a spare tire). Even a voiocemail and email to the General Manager Mr. Justin Russell are unanswered. God is in the details and Corwin Ford's attention to the details of the relationship with this customer is terrible. Sometimes a company's success covers up issues that may affect that success. I hope that is not the case here. Dispite our great experience with Austin, were I to do this over, I'd be traveling to Capital Ford. read more

Bribery for false 5-star review. Had a very poor experience with having my car serviced here. Was sent a survey link and left a less-than 5-star review about my experience in hopes to let the dealership know of the issues. Was contacted by the dealership and asked to "revise" my review to 5 stars and they would then give me a partial refund (bribery). The definition of a bribe is "to persuade someone to act in one's favor, typically illegally or dishonestly, by a gift of money or other inducement." Conditioning a monetary refund on the alteration of an online review to 5-stars constitutes a bribe under this definition. This practice undermines the integrity of consumer reviews, negates honesty, and calls into question the business ethics of Corwin Ford. Your characterization of this conditional refund as a "good faith" gesture is contradicted by the facts. I was explicitly told that no refund would be issued until my review was changed to reflect only 5-star ratings, and subsequently informed that the refund would not be honored because my revised review included both 4- and 5-star ratings. This sequence of events can be fully supported by recorded calls between myself and the CRM employee on July 7 just after noon, during which she made these terms clear. Was emailed by them and the email stated "If you are willing to revise your survey, a follow-up will be sent to your email tomorrow, we would be happy to credit half of the diagnostic fee back to your credit card. Please allow 5-7 business days for the credit to appear on your statement. Please note that questions #3 and #5 are especially important and should be scored a 5 if you feel I have addressed your concerns." I complied by revising my review to include both 4- and 5-star responses in an effort to balance honesty with compliance, solely to obtain the refund promised. Despite this, more than a month passed without communication, and when I followed up today, I was informed that the "deal" was rescinded because I had not submitted exclusively 5-star ratings. These "terms" that you referenced in your response above clearly are not a "good faith" offer. Otherwise, the refund would have been honored regardless, and an honest review would have been valued and respected. If this is Corwin Ford's policy to garner 5-star reviews, how can anyone trust the legitimacy of those reviews and Corwin Ford as a business? This matter is no longer about the $135 refund at issue. The core concern is the dealership's apparent policy of conditioning customer reimbursements on manipulated review scores, a practice that reflects dishonesty, a lack of transparency, and disregard for consumer trust. In a world where transparency is important, businesses are expected to uphold standards of integrity, and the conduct displayed in this matter falls far short of that obligation. Unhappy Corwin Ford Customer I have been attempting to get a recall appointment with Corwin Ford and have experienced nothing but problems. 4-6 weeks to get an appointment. Confusion with booking -"I'm sorry but I have your appointment on 2 different days and we can't make it tomorrow." Messages left on my voicemail at 4:30 and then gone for the day when I call back at 4:45. Last minute cancellation -"we need to have our mechanics help us move to our new facility so we need to cancel today's appointment." For the following appointment, mechanic didn't know what needed to be done so he didn't have the right equipment. Nothing but excuses from desk jockey from " the previous gal is no longer with us so I can't take the blame" to "I can't make you a first appointment tomorrow because your house is located in central Reno so our mechanic would have to drive past other appointments to get to your house and then he would have to backtrack." I've owned my Bronco for 3 months and haven't been able to sync my phone this entire time because the recall needs to be done first. Made my 5th appointment for next Wednesday. To provide initial context prior to review, I have shopped new vehicles with Corwin Ford, and had service performed by Corwin Ford. This dealership is the poorest performing dealership I have ever personally dealt with (I have purchased and dealt with a variety of dealerships across the country, so this is a pretty significant achievement). Vehicle pricing is subpar (I am shopping a premium market, but repeatedly saw prices $10k over competing Ford dealers). The service department is slow and unresponsive--if things are favorable, you can get a response within a few calls; if things are not going well, you will likely have a hard time getting in touch. In my most recent service, I was quoted a seven hour repair (dealership rate is over $200/hr), for a repair that can be completed under three hours (benchmarked as 2.25). Diagnostic work by this service department has been unsuccessful and service in this dealership has only added cost to minor repairs. Read the reviews and take them seriously--you will likely save thousands by shopping elsewhere for new purchases and service. I wish it was better...the business is one of the biggest local dealers, it seems to have a lot of good employees, and sells a good product (luckily Ford is a solid option, even if Corwin is not). read more

When I'm ready to buy a car, I always start by doing my research online and chatting with the dealership through their online platform. It's supposed to make things easier, but this time, it was anything but. I first connected with Jayden, who helped me get pricing for a lease and a trade-in. Things were going smoothly for a couple of days, but then Jayden just stopped responding. After two days of silence, I reached out and asked if I should call the dealership. That's when CJ stepped in on 03/13, saying he'd take over. CJ assured me that Jayden had brought him up to speed, but he still asked questions I had already answered. I tried to stay patient and pointed it out, and CJ moved on to asking if I would register the vehicle in Reno. At that point, I decided to let it slide and move forward, hoping things would get better. I sent CJ three vehicles I was interested in and asked him to get pricing with my trade-in. I was leaning toward the Maverick at first, but CJ told me those were on a "No-Sale" due to a recall. Fine--I shifted my focus to the Bronco Sport. CJ quoted me $637 a month for 36 months with $2,000 down, including the trade-in. I then sent him two more Broncos to price, but he refused to run the numbers for the specific vehicles. He brushed it off, saying the payment would only vary by about $50. That felt dismissive, and on top of that, the dealership's website showed much lower payment estimates--around $200 less per month. The whole thing felt misleading and frustrating. Eventually, I decided to stick with the Bronco. Later, CJ texted me, saying the Maverick would soon be available again after the recall was fixed, but I wasn't comfortable buying a car with an active recall. He then said that if he lowered the payment to $550 on any of the vehicles we talked about, would I pull the trigger, and I agreed. When I went to the dealership on 03/18 for the test drive, CJ was "too busy" to meet me. Instead, he handed me off to Quest, who knew nothing about our prior conversations. CJ claimed he'd left all the details in a folder for Quest, but the folder was empty. At this point, I was already frustrated but decided to keep going. I asked Quest to let me test drive the Bronco and give me a clear monthly payment before we wasted any more time. On the way to the car, I asked about the Maverick recall. Quest told me they couldn't sell the Maverick due to the recall--which directly contradicted what CJ had said. That was another red flag. Quest was polite, but he wasn't what you'd expect from a salesperson. He moved slowly, seemed disinterested, and lacked any sense of urgency. I repeatedly asked for the monthly payment, emphasizing that I didn't want to waste time if the payment wasn't going to work. Quest ignored me and focused on paperwork, which he somehow had to redo multiple times. It dragged on forever. Finally, Quest came back with a payment that was way higher than the $550 CJ had promised. To make matters worse, the original manager handling the deal had left for the day, and yet another person was now taking over. At that point, it was clear they had no intention of working with me and my husband. I asked for my car keys back, which the dealership had been holding onto the entire time--making it difficult for me to leave. Quest finally returned with my keys but tried to defend their actions and even blamed me for the situation. That was the last straw. I told him their tactics--ignoring customers, bait-and-switch pricing, and holding keys hostage--were unacceptable. This was a blatant attempt to pressure me into a deal I wasn't comfortable with. This entire experience was a disaster. If you enjoy dealing with bait-and-switch tactics, disorganization, and working with 3 salespeople and 2 managers just to get through one car deal, this dealership might be for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. read more
