If I could give no stars I would. We bought a 2019 Ford Ranger at the end of 2024. We saw an issue with the main electronics screen the first week we had the ranger and took it back to them, to get the problem fixed. As many of you know these screens control everything, the screen was locking up and we could not change the radio station, or adjust the temperature. Also when the screen locked up it stopped the steering wheel buttons to not work as well. They had our truck for a month! Their response was that they could not fix the issue and that there would be a software update in a month "that should fix the issue". So to recap we drove our new to us truck for 1 week it was at the dealership for a month and they did nothing. Well the update did not fix the issue, but since we had nothing happen the last time we took the truck in we just dealt with it. Finding a sort of fix. Having to shut the car off, lock it and then reopen and restart to reset the screen. Over a year later and we are back in the area and take the truck in as the screen issue is getting very bad and our 'reset' is not working. Oh how Corwin Ford tried to screw us over with this! So we were talked into purchasing the extended warranty by finance when we purchased the truck. She stated that "if anything electronic goes out it will be thousands to fix and this warranty covers that. This warranty covers everything but new tires." So we mistakenly thought it was a good idea. Fast forward to the month of February when we took the truck back to them to have the screen issue fixed. They had the truck for a week, they asked if I wanted to include 2 air filter changes and tire rotation as it was "needed" I agreed. They did not tell me that those 3 services were somehow not part of the warranty?! Are you kidding me?! They tried to charge me over a thousand to do the screen and the 3 services. Then it was six hundred something. Then a service manager got involved and said since the service person did not tell me the charges for the 3 service they would "waive" the charges and I would only owe my deductible. The deductible is $250.00. We gave up and said fine we will pay the $250.00 EVENTHOUGH WE TOOK THIS BACK TO YOU RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE AND YOU DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE THEN. Now the dealership is trying to "keep a customer" and their outreach person has contacted me. This person has told me that the warranty I have does not cover electronic issues!!!!!? What?!?!! And after 3 weeks of calls and emails NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT MY WARRANTY ACTUALLY COVERS. AND AND! They told me that the deductible has to be paid EACH TIME I TAKE IN THE VEHICLE!!! EACH TIME!! I work in health insurance and that is not how deductibles work for auto or health insurance. The service we received was terrible. The staff seemed to have a mindset of "buy if you want, and if you don't, that's fine with me too." When we entered the store, the sales manager, Jeremy, profiled us and said, "I won't run credit because the way you two look, I just know you're not going to buy today." The salesperson, Jaelin, was extremely rude. I'm wondering if he was trained to be indifferent to customers in order to make a sale. We also requested to speak to the general manager, Justin, but we haven't heard from him. We refuse to purchase until the matter is addressed and resolved. After I had to complain to quite a few people, explaining my time constraints shuttling 2 children to 2 different sports, along with my own work, I was able to get ahold of the service manager, Schell. He discussed the matter with me in a professional way and he offered me a solution that worked for all involved. On 10/10/25 I took my vehicle in for a 2:30 appointment for an oil change. I was told it would take about 60 minutes and I went to the waiting room. Just before 4pm I get a call from them and they ask me if I was still there. I said yes, you have my vehicle, where else would I be? They told me they messed up my paperwork and have not started on my vehicle yet. No apology from them and it almost came across like it was my fault. I finally got a message around 5:30 that vehicle was ready. As I paid there was again no apology or acknowledgment of my time wasted. Here's an honest review of Corwin: It took several years to get a simple recall done and it happened only after I complained via multiple platforms. The straw that broke the camels back was a service advisor on 8/21/24 who told me recalls were 12-18 months out (after hearing this for years), told me they had high turnover, to contact a different dealer and then hung up on me. In Corwins defense, I was given a call by service advisor after someone in management forwarded my complaints and they had the recall done the next day at my location. My service advisor, Amy, was a god-send and made me feel that she genuinely cared and apologized. She followed up exactly as she said she would and was very helpful. Amy and the tech who came out, Marvin, are the reason I am upping my review for Corwin. I hope Corwin hires more Amys and Marvins who care about customers. I truly appreciate Amy following up with me, but I'd still be unhappy with a messed-up truck if I had not posted those reviews. I didn't want special treatment, I just wanted to get my truck recall done. Corporate culture comes from the top, both locally and nationally. I have purchased a few new vehicles from Corwin. they have all had mechanical issues which were corrected and they did a good and timely job. the sales process was as expected where the sales person is just a go between for the sales manager behind the desk. the new facility is nice but what dont like about Corwin is the majority of the service people I deal with are arrogant, constantly trying to upsell service that's not needed and in some cases plain condescending, so much for regular maintenance I go to capital ford as I can't stand spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and be treated like a flea. they should clean house and start over. I won't mention names but there are three long timers there I refuse to work with. I'll do any warranty work there but that's it. on the future I'll shop elsewhere because of the service people. Immediately - NO. I repeat - DO NOT BUY USED VEHICLES from Corwin. We purchased a used truck from them on 6/3/25. By 6/10/25 and with less than 100-miles on the truck, we got a CHECK ENGINE light. Immediately called Ford and spent the next 4-weeks being bounced from sales to service while they tried to figure out how to deal with the situation. Finally ended up simply dropping the truck off to their service bay without an appointment on 7/14/25. Corwin subsequently sent the truck to Carson Dodge who apparently 'fixed' it. Corwin called on 7/21/25 to advise the truck codes were cleared and we were good. CHECK ENGINE light was on when we arrived to pickup the truck at Corwin, so we left it there. Corwin sent the truck back to Carson Dodge, who has had it for the past week. We called Corwin today to get an update and were advised we need to speak withe the Sales Manager. Odd, but ok. Sales manager advised us that Carson Dodge has determined the truck we paid $18k for needs a new engine and WE will have to pay for it. I recognize this is a used AS IS vehicle. But one would hope that a 'reputable' dealership would 1) stock used vehicles they've sufficiently inspected; and 2) Do more than simply say 'suck it' when a situation like this presents. So no - I would not recommend Corwin. As a construction business owner, we have purchased MANY used vehicles over the past 20-years. Some from dealerships - some private party. Corwin Ford should be put out of business. Recently decided to get my dad a new Bronco and ended up coming to terms with Corwin Ford Reno. From the beginning I ran into issues working with the sales manager Andrew Springer when I was told we could not apply my fathers Military discount to the lease since a Conquest rebate was applied, i later found out this was false and that both rebates should have been applied. After going back and forth Andrew agreed to beat a deal from a competing dealer (local to me in CA) But i then later discovered after taking delivery of the Bronco that my local registration fees were not included and had to be paid separately to the DMV. My Bronco is a lease, and the selling dealer is liable to make sure the car is registered per any finance company. These fees were over $1,000, making my out of state purchase more than if I were to buy locally. The Bronco was delivered with no temporary tag or paperwork. I had to ask Andrew for instructions on how to register the car which were sent to me after taking delivery, Andrew insists I signed this beforehand however has yet to show me proof. It is nowhere in my paperwork or prior texts. We were pulled over 2 times in the span of 1 week for no plates and were threatened with the car being impounded, and had to park the car until the registration issue was resolved. In this time of not driving the Bronco, Corwin Ford's Titling Clerk failed to send any documents to my local DMV office. Adding insult to injury, the label to send these documents was printed 1 day outside of CA's 20 day time period to register an out of state car, adding late fees to the registration fees I had to pay. Andrew went MIA during this time and would not respond to text messages. Upon receiving a survey from Ford I had accurately went through my experience in hopes that somebody on a corporate level would assist me. Only after a negative survey Andrew decided to reach back out, basically to bribe me to give them a false 5 star rating. Andrew then went back on his word and is now refusing to pay anything. 5 Stars for Skyler M.! I was in the market for a new-to-me vehicle and found a Ford Explorer online at Ford that I was extremely interested in. When I went to look, I was greeted right away by Skyler and he informed me that they just received it in so it unfortunately wasn't ready to test drive, but I could go look at it and sit in it in the service center. After inspecting it, I told him I was interested and left him my number for whenever it was ready. I also asked if there was anything else in the same range (price, mileage, etc.), and unfortunately at the time there wasn't. I appreciated that he wasn't pushy to get me in a car I didn't like/want. Skyler kept me up to date as much as possible over the next week. Unfortunately, without going into all of the details of a frustrating week regarding the explorer with a different salesman, it just didn't work out. Fast forward, I had already given them a down payment for the explorer, however, we hadn't finalized the loan/payment information, so my husband and I were able to look at other vehicles that were available as we needed one ASAP. We ended up finding a Ford Expedition that was newer with a bit more miles, but still quite nice. The transferring of the loan information was long since they were busy the day we went in, but it was a very smooth process. Overall, I had a really good experience with Skyler and am thankful he was our salesman. We love our Ford and it has made our family adventures so much more enjoyable. read more

I have purchased a 2023 Hyundai Palisade from this dealership very end of July and opened up communications about the issues within a 2 week timeframe. The car has not been serviced they fraudulently checked off safety items to sell it. I drove It and within 2 weeks it was shaking violently on the freeway and it was quite scary. It did that twice. I've been trying to collaborate with this dealership for 19 days now with no solutions or even a response back! It has been the worst experience buying a car so far out of the 3 that I bought recently. Manager Cory Skeen doesn't call you which I interpreted that as he doesn't care, doesn't have the skill set to handle a dispute, or Anthony the sales man never told Cory about my situation. Over all I had to keep moving forward and ensure my own safety as well as others on the road. I would never go back to them, no communication, no collaboration, nothing at all! Fraudulent unsafe business and wouldn't hand over the documents for inspection for my records. The owner said Corey had been trying to reach out to me but hasn't been able to make contact. someone lied to the owner, Corey has not tried to reach out to me since the first contact on September 11th 2025 he has been avoiding this issue. I bought the Palisade July 19th 2025 Starting having conversations with Anthony August 15th 2025 August 23rd 2025 noted I was still waiting for Corey to reach out September 10th told Anthony I was still waiting for Corey to reach out. September 11th Corey and I connected with no resolution, I sent him Tires Plus statement and pictures of leaking shocks etc. I tried to reconnect with him September 17th September 27th October 7th No, he has not tried to contact me with a solution. I brought my car in to do an oil change and the representative checked me in and said that they'll be in contact when I'm ready. So I waited for about an hour until I get a text on my phone that says that I'm in the works and that my car needs a new filter. They sent a link that had pictures and a price. I don't know what the heck I'm looking at and usually with oil changes a tech will come out and tell me what's wrong and discuss pricing. I waited for someone for about a half hour to come talk to me and no one showed up. So finally I just walked into the front desk and said I got this text but no one ever came to talk to me. She said oh they don't do that here and that they only do text messages and that I'm supposed to approve or deny it based on what they send and send a text back. So I asked her to discuss pricing and all that with me there and I left about a half hour later. I sent in a negative survey and asked that a manager contact me because I was just confused on why they only have links on a phone and not have someone talk to their customers about their cars, especially with people who don't understand cars fully. The manager understood and did apologize , and I wasn't rude or mean, I just explained my situation. She gave me points on my ford app and I appreciated it. I mean overall, not a horrible experience, just need to work on their customer service. read more

Came back the next day as planned, Elias was off, and the new salesman knew nothing about my visit. Trade-in offer was $5K below their own KBB value and $4.5K below my CarMax offer. Cash purchase? $11K more than the lease price because "rebates don't apply." Asked for a quote on the blue car that I really wanted -- still no call, no follow-up 24 hours later! I paid $990 for a FORD Service contract on my F150 when I purchased it new. This includes oil changes to 36000 miles. Now Corwin Ford in Reno wants to charge me an extra $50 just to get this done. Ford, apparently, only pays $55 dollars for the service, but that seems to be Corwin's problem, not mine. I will be contacting Ford directly as there is nothing in my contract suggesting a cost "limit" on the service and the oil change was done as part of my agreement for 0 additional dollars on prior visits to other Ford dealerships. in my lifetime I have I financed a toyo , a dodge and no problems mechanically wit any of my prior cars , the I switched to a ford ecosport and now I'm im on a second blown engine for a ford ecosport In addition the is a factory recall for the engine with no fix in sight , my situation is a warranty issue , but in my experience in BOTH! Rebuilds has 3 months plus . My family goes out of there way every day to make sure I get to work , at some point it's an inconvenience for every one and they don't care . The dealership itself is really nice. We went there to look at a car from their website that apparently had already been sold a few days prior. We were helped by Patrick, who was incredibly helpful and respectful. He didn't hover or try to push us toward more expensive cars, he was great. We ended up buying a really well priced used car. Corwin Ford Salesman will not provide you with accurate descriptions of the vehicle you are looking at. They will tell you there are certain features on a car when in fact there are not. Corwin Ford thinks it appropriate to mislead customers about the features of a car and chalk it up to a third party who may write inaccurate descriptions for them. Keep this in mind when looking at a vehicle and do not trust what the salesperson tells you. Apparently you are expected to do their job and take note of every single feature in the car. They will hand you a sheet they "made up themselves" and it will still be completely inaccurate. More concerning, Corwin Ford does not feel the need to disclose active recalls and may lie right to your face when you ask about the ones listed on the Carfax. They put my family at risk when they failed to tell me about two recalls on the car which could result in injury. My salesperson said "I can't legally sell you the car with a safety recall open" in order to reassure me that they remedied the issue. So either they broke the law or flat out lied in order to con me into buying an unsafe car. We now found ourselves with a car with two safety recalls, one of which has no current resolution from the manufacturer. Would I have bought this car had I known this? Absolutely not. Don't worry, it doesn't stop there. This vehicle was a certified pre-owned vehicle which is supposed to give peace of mind to the customer that they are purchasing a reliable car. In fact, this designation means absolutely nothing and is merely another attempt to sucker customers into wasting money on a car that is not fit for sale. Despite seeing the check marks which supposedly mean a passed inspection by technicians, we immediately found the second row seat mechanism was broken. If something as small and easy to identify as this is misrepresented, one can only wonder what more serious issues with the car are being covered up. But don't worry, they will fix it thanks to their limited warranty on blue certified cars... For $100. Yes, even though you just left the lot with a broken car. You're welcome valued customer. We returned to address these issues and ended up trading in the car for the car WE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT INSTEAD had they been transparent about the recalls and state of the car. Dear friends, do you think we were welcomed with a sincere apology and assurance that this situation does not reflect their values and standards as a company? OF COURSE NOT! We instead got a few poor excuses from a sales manager and a refusal from the General Manager, Cory Skeen, to meet with us because he was "too busy". Perhaps he was too busy ripping off customers and laughing about it. That I could believe. In the end we returned two days after buying the car (had it not been a Sunday, we would have come back the following day) and paid more for the second car than we would have had we been able to make an informed decision on day 1. We merely wanted our money back and to buy the other car for it's price. An even trade to remedy their mistakes. However, they refused to give us a fair deal and we ended up paying $3k more than the other car was valued at. Again, more proof they had no desire to make things right and that they value money over customer satisfaction and their own reputation. I can only hope that the quality of this car is adequate since we spent a great deal of money trying to find something safe and reliable for our 3 children - the 3 children Corwin Ford put at risk when they failed to conduct themselves in an ethical manner. At the end of the day, this company claims on their website to value the customer, to conduct themselves professionally, and to make car buying stress free, when in fact, nothing could be further from the truth. It is reprehensible that the Reno community allows such deplorable and dishonest business practices from this establishment. I can only assume that the positive google reviews were bought with their blood money. Corwin Ford and Cory Skeen should be embarrassed by their lack of integrity and basic human decency. In addition, Ford should be embarrassed to have their reputation and namesake tarnished by this apathetic and unscrupulous dealership. My suggestion to you is to stay as far away from this dealership as you can. Should you find no way to avoid them and need a car from this dealership, assume that everything that comes out of their mouth is a lie. Know that they could care less about you and that their primary goal is to swindle you. I would like to point out that I was more than willing to find an acceptable resolution alongside management. However, they care so little about holding to their "values" that they made no effort to make things right and the GM couldn't not even be bothered to make an appearance. I would avoid doing business with these people. Bought a used car, which started vibrating after a week of normal use. took it in to be serviced at Corwin Ford and they recommended a low pressure fuel pump. The fuel pump was changed, but there was no improvement. Called back for more help and they ignored my calls. I took it somewhere else after getting a check engine light (Transmission errors). We noticed a cracked oil pan, so I complained. They said they couldn't do anything to help, because it had been to long (after ignoring me for weeks). Years before this, Corwin Ford tried to over charge me ($40K) for engine repairs. I should have never come back and regret giving them a second chance. Nice building though. read more

Not even 2 months since I bought car. No I have to see what's wrong with the turbo. They sold me an over priced car. Said a 4 star machnic went thru it. They are nothing but liars. Actions speak more than words. Andrew Springer said he wanted to help and did nothing. Liars all of them. This is my 3 td repair in 2 months. What could improve is they go out of bussiness. Don't waste your time as they're lie saying they can fiance you and then run your credit for a vehicle you never agreed to. The most horrible waste of two plus hours only to find out they're still running our credit for a vehicle we never saw or test drove or agreed to have our credit run for. read more
