Giving 3 stars because this place has the appearance of what I want but just misses the mark. The coffee is expensive and I want it to be HOT. But when I order a mug in-house, I don't think they preheat it, and it's almost immediately lukewarm. Maybe their mugs are badly designed. I detest lukewarm coffee that's also expensive. When looking up local coffee shops in Denver, I came across Corvus. I was visiting from socal, and wanted to try out different coffee joints around town. Corvus was by far my favorite. The atmosphere was amazing, the drinks were great, and the staff were so kind! One of the baristas was very friendly to my mom and I, and made beautiful lattes. I try and seek out Corvus at other coffee shops whenever I can. I think their coffee is outstanding and visiting the location on south Broadway for a meeting was fantastic. really great coffee roasts! for awhile i was drinking decaf, and their roast was delicious and smooth, tasted as good as full caf! their baristas are hit or miss for me and sometimes drinks take a long time to make (i guess that's part of the process), but overall, i love their coffee! read more

This place is yum. It is my go-to commute treat for the mornings when I really don't want to leave the house. They have a nice selection of baked goods, beans, coffee paraphernalia, and specialty espresso drinks! Offerings include chicory and several kinds of cold brew, which I have not yet tried because I think they'll send me through the roof. They take safety seriously and are metering their levels of indoor guests. I was politely reminded that I was loitering (after getting my coffee) with my phone by the standing bar that clearly said PLEASE DON'T LOITER, which I loved because it means they're not afraid to enforce public safety rules.(But oops, sorry about that!) They have a delightful fire pit outside perfect for early spring temps right now that you are welcome to loiter by with your delicious coffee. Highly recommend, stop by. I ordered one of the 16oz nitro cold brew and I wasn't sure if I messed things up for myself lol. I'm a coffee noob and for some reason I thought I was ordering a latte!? (lol). When the nitro cold brew came out, I was like oh boy, I should ask for cream. So glad I didn't. I took one sip and it was such a floral-y flavor I haven't tasted in a coffee before. A great coffee shop in Sobo. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern. It's quiet and comfortable to meet with a friend or work. There is lots of natural light and yet it's got a nice softness that makes it intimate. If you like strong, big bodied coffee then you'll love their roasts. The most important thing I can say about this place is that they had a very wide selection of coffees, particularly to cold brew cocktails (non-alcoholic). I can't say that I tried any of them, but it is something cool and different that they do. They do have a nice selection of other drinks too. I had a cortado. CAn't say that it was great, unfortunatley. I think the drink was made fine, but the roast wasn't great on the coffee. Still I wouldn't discourage people from checking this place out. read more

I first walked into this coffee shop and saw what a nice ambiance it had! It was so chill yet had some great energy! All of the baristas were so nice and willing to make conversation with you and some jokes on the side. The interior is also just the cutest. It's a great place to get some work done or just chat with a friend! Their coffee had the nicest flavors and aromas. It's a bonus that they offered milk alternatives such as almond and oat. Their oat milk was so savory and wasn't sweetened, which I loved. I highly recommend this place. It just has all the right feels and great tasting coffee! read more

The coffee shop has nice seating indoors and outdoors, but is more of a Starbucks feel rather than a cozy coffee shop feel. We ordered a cappuccino and the salted butterscotch rosemary latte. Coffee was a nice strong flavor, but was a little acidic. Foam was smooth in texture and lasted to the bottom of the cup. The cappuccino is pretty small in size for the price (~$4). Was a little skeptical of the flavor mixture of the latte, but it was surprisingly balanced and the rosemary complemented the butterscotch well. Similarly had well done steamed milk and foam. Overall, a nice coffee shop especially in Denver where there are not many good coffee shops. It is a place I would go grab a quick coffee or sit and drink for a short period of time rather than a place I would choose to sit for a while and work. read more

Yes yes yes! These guys know coffee and are so nice! The two of us came in on a Thursday around noon, there were plenty of street parkings. They don't serve decaf espresso for another hour or two but when I asked for it, they were more than happy to extract for us for our two lattes. I like their denim apron btw, look very trendy yet professional :) The pastries looked great, tasted even better! The Ham & Cheese Croissant, when heated, had cheese oozing out. And the Chocolate Eclair was filled with vanilla bean custard cream. It was decadent but not too sweet, definitely won't take away from your sip. I was so excited when our lattes were ready, this marked my first time having a gourmet coffee topped with lattee art! We tried the Vanilla and Caramel syrups. I gotta say, it's definitely worth the $4.2 price tag. The syrups tasted real and as described, not those highly processed, flavor-synthesized compounds in a store-bought bottle. You inevitably face Sophie's choice here though (lol): stir your drink so the syrup won't just stay at the bottom of the cup, but your pretty latte art would be ruined... Whenever I enjoy a beverage at a cafe I usually would like to buy the goodie so I could make it at home. Not this case, I want to cherish my subsequent visits here just to have the hand crafted coffees. Hopefully next time there will be a tour, I simply cannot wait! read more

This place off Broadway has a great patio and beautiful mural on the wall that would have easily called me in off the street had I not already sought it out via Yelp. Like Sweet Bloom above, the space smelled of freshly roasted beans because the space operates as a cafe and roastery. A barista and the cafe counter greeted me at the front and a roaster was hard at work in the back, perfecting the latest batch. High-top tables, chairs and bags of green coffee were intermingled (tightly) between the two spaces. While it's definitely neat to be among "the action" of a roastery, the space was way too cramped; it's just too small for all the seats they tried to fit in there. The only seat I could find available was the bar along the side, which basically required me to climb over coffee bags and bump a row of other patrons every time I needed to pass through. I'd recommend reducing the number of chairs and tables inside or find a way to store the green coffee elsewhere. The barista was super friendly and helped me order when I stared at the minimalist menu with a confused look on my face. I ended up with my standard latte - it was good, but nothing to write home about. And unfortunately I ended up not getting to enjoy it and having to drink it very quickly because the café's "free WiFi" wasn't working. Aside from preferring indie roasters/cafés over chains, the WiFi is why I chose this place. So needless to say, it was super annoying to find out the WiFi didn't actually work AFTER I ordered. If the coffee was amazing, I'd probably go back, but it was pretty standard for a specialty roaster-café, so I won't likely go back considering all the negatives with the actual setting. read more

I loooovvveee finding coffee places when visiting different places and I'm so happy I came to this one. Gorgeous interior, amazing customer service and delicious coffee that is sure to make your tastebuds happy! Seems to be a very popular place considering that there was a considerable line in the store. This isn't your average coffee shop, and for many, their options might be a bit overwhelming! I would consider myself a coffee addict but coming into this shop, I was completely in awe of what they had to offer! I ended up getting the Kyoto Cold Brew with a splash of oat milk and the taste was sooo smooth! Cold brew isn't my most favorite drink, but being in the Colorado heat, I needed something refreshing and this was the drink for me! Mild and smooth tasting cold brew for those who are a bit acidic sensitive like me. The way they make it is also pretty cool too! My boyfriend ordered a New Orleans Cold Brew, which is perfect for the sweet tooth coffee lovers! Very fruity and sweet tasting cold brew, with the perfect amount of cream. I also ordered a ginger peach latte, which unfortunately wasn't for me but it was so interesting and very delicious! Definitely not for those who aren't fans of ginger, for the ginger flavor is so evident and gives a very nice taste that you forget it's actually coffee! Really, really good coffee on South Broadway. Yes, it's hipster-y as all get out and yes, a latte will probably run you $6+. Worth it? Heck yeah! They have a free and easy parking lot right next door, which is rare on South Broadway (or anywhere in Denver, really). + Their wifi (password: southbroadway) was quick and reliable. + The vibe of the shop itself is really cool. It feels a little industrial with roasters in the back, but there are a variety of tables to sit down and work on plus a garage door that opens up during the warmer months. + The fireplace out front! This place is the King of coffee cocktails. They have several cold brewed coffee that serve as the core of delicious coffee drinks. The Whisky is the foundation for a refreshing mix of blueberry reduction, lemon, mint? and a few more ingredients. Recipes are on the bottle? Pretty darn tasty! The Rwonda is another bottled cold brew coffee. But my all time favorite was the Chickory blended with a sugared vanilla paste and cream. OMG. Best ever!!! We learned they search for and select quality coffee bean farmers internationally. Their 13 KG roaster is quite immense that they have right there in the shop along with a bagger. Can you say fresh coffee? The owner was clearly very passionate about coffee and the whole process. It was so great to learn about coffee along with his vision and goals. Great cup of coffee and amazing lattes. I came to Corvus because they had seating open to where I could work outside of my house (its been 7 months and I was feeling like I needed to just get out for a bit). Keep in mind the morning hours are extremely busy. They do their best to ensure seating is spaced properly and when someone leaves its cleaned. If you do want to come here for some study time or so, I suggest anytime after noon or so is when it slows down. Also, I highly suggest the matcha latte with oat milk or the chai spicy with oat milk. OMG got a recommendation to try the old country ice coffee from a local and came to find out it is now called the New Orleans iced coffee. You immediately smell the amazing aroma of the coffee just outside the door! They also make their own nut milk blend that is such an amazing addition to any coffee. Never drinking real milk again! THE EXPRESSO!!! My thing when traveling is to try new coffee shops and this came up as the first one on list of coffees. It was my first time coming here and I definitely was not disappointed. I chose a vanilla mocha latte and my friend got an americano with cream and sugar and let's just say wow! The expresso is so incredibly smooth and sits easy with the tastebuds.
