Cortina's is a family owned and operated business specializing in sandwiches, pastas and salads. They pride themselves in quality ingredients and every order is made fresh to order. My coworker mentioned growing up and enjoying their Anaheim location so during lunch he suggested that we went to their closer Orange location. There is a decent amount of tables indoors and some patio seating available. You order at the cashier and they give you a number to place at the tables. I wanted more time decided what to order so I asked my coworkers to go first. They got the Cortina's Special ($9.90/10") and a Tuna Salad ($7.70) with a side order of Meatball ($1.60). I ultimately decided on The Fireball ($7.20/6") with a Prickly Pear San Pellegrino ($2). The food is DELICIOUS! Definitely worth the hype. My sandwich, The Fireball, had spicy capicolla, spicy calabrise, provolone cheese, served hot with hot mix, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers. At the counter, the cashier asked if I would like onions and I asked if it was grilled or regular. She said it was regular onions but I could have it grilled. AMAZING!! The grilled onions was a game changer to this sandwich. It was so magnificent. I am not even into sandwiches, but this one was delicious with the perfect amount of savory and spice!! I also had a taste of the meatball and it was so good too. I would definitely want their pasta for dinner, but their hours are limited from 10am-3pm. Maybe I can purchase during lunch and eat it for dinner... cause pasta is too heavy for lunch. I would food coma at work... Cortina's definitely deserves a spot in my lunch rotation. My first time having Cortina's and had the special. All I'll say is, I don't want to drink my water, and I don't want to eat the chips I bought...because whatever is going on for my tastebuds is pure HAPPINESS and I don't want it to end. AMAZING!!! read more

French Dip Review Billy - 7.5/10 Can't go wrong with the french dip, if you aren't craving anything in particular but want something to fill you up then the french dip is a great choice, the au jus is really good and not too salty with a good flavor. The Kid - 8/10 Definitely one of my favorites and is on my mount rushmore of Cortina's sandwiches for sure. Best french dip that i've had in orange county and is just very solid as they keep it simple and are able to focus on every ingredient instead of making it too complex. Overall, the sandwiches were great but prices were high and they were too busy compared to the number of staff. When ordering I was cut off 3 times by the person taking my order to attend to online orders, phone orders, and some other request. By the time my order was actually taken, she wrote down the wrong sandwich and I had to correct her. Still, my ordered ended up correct when I received it. Sandwiches are small for the price of a $9 turkey sandwich (6") with no avocado included and a whopping $18 for a hot pastrami (10"), which looked barely larger than the 6". All components of the sandwiches were excellent, just wish the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, won't be back due to that. read more

If you are on your lunch break and looking or a really good sandwich spot in Anaheim you need to give Cortina's in orange a try you will not be disappointed. For starters they have a really good parking lot no need to struggle for parking and when your on a 1 hour lunch that's important. They have a variety of cold cut and hot sandwiches my personal favorite is the Rocky Balboa sandwich it's delicious they give a broth to dip your sandwich and that makes it so much flavorful besides sandwich they have a variety of other sides along with salads everything looks, and taste amazing keep up the good work guys!!!! read more

10/10 Crunchy on the outside soft on the inside Meatball sub was perfect, held all the cheese and sauce in perfectly. Meatballs were cooked from scratch the meat they use is definitely a quality choice cut of meat, was tender and juicy. The Bruschetta was perfect impossible to get soggy. Definitely ordering again as my comfort go to. On another visit, I asked the friendly staff what they would pick as the sandwich they were known for and they named the proscuitto. This is definitely a sandwich I recommend. I was hesitant at first never trying the meat before and it only being 6" thinking I would still be hungry. It was more than enough the sandwich is probably just as filling as the lrg meatball. Same bread for the crunch and softness drizzled with oil. Meat was packed in with fresh cuts of mozzarella topped with basil and tomatoes . I want to start by saying I am so glad Cortina's has opened another location here in orange me and my family have gone to the one in Anaheim for years . Their food is great here very fresh and taste great too !! I like their meatball and cheese sandwich its the best the sauce and cheese , meat are great quality !! The staff at this location looked well organized and were getting orders out quickly they were also very kind . The inside is very small with little seating but there is a patio area outside with more seating Its also very clean inside and outside as well. I highly recommend them if you are in the mood for some fresh food with a great taste oh and at a great price as well :)!! read more

Top notch sandwiches in Orange County. I've tried many of them and all are good but both the Fireball and Rocky Balboa are my favorites. Both are warm and toasty and I think their bread is best this way. The Cortina's Special is the one sandwich I like cold. The meatball and pastrami are also very good. Great staff. Cortina's is seriously one of the absolute best spots in Orange! Their sandwiches are some of the best I've ever had. I've tried their Philly Cheese Steak and their Roast Beef French Dip, and have thoroughly enjoyed both. My friends have also had their Meatballs With Cheese and their Eggplant Parm, which they have also raved about. There's usually a line to order which tells you how popular they are, but they're always speedy with getting you your food. Everyone who works there is kind and friendly! Cortina's has a plethora of different quality foods. I've only had the sandwiches and pasta before, but both were pretty good. I want to focus on the chicken Alfredo for this review though. I usually get the chicken Alfredo for my lunch break and they never disappointed. The only draw back is that the Alfredo can be a bit thin and not as cheesy, but besides that it is a rather decent rendition of Alfredo that is ample sized and definitely hits the spot. I messed up. It's not often I get to eat at Cortina's. The sandwiches are amazing. The wait is long. Because that many people order. We go to a lot of Angels games and the food isn't good. So if I get to stop at Cortina's I stop. So I tried to order online. My clueless self order from the Anaheim store. Think he name is Corio. Let me know that I was at the wrong store but she would fix the problem and just make me the sandwich and call Anaheim to let them know. Customer service has been horrible in general. Came here on a very busy Friday for lunch and was hoping for a better experience. I ordered 2 sandwiches, a cortina and a pastrami. I waited outside for about 10 minutes and decided to go inside to see if my order was ready. I waited for probably another 20 minutes and literally was watching people who just ordered get their meal before me..I was very confused to I asked the staff how come these people who ordered 30 minutes after me were getting their meals first. They didn't have an answer and we're not apologetic whatsoever. They said it's most likely taking a longer time because I ordered and hot sandwich and they were working on it. I understand that they were busy but c'mon you guys could have at least said sorry for it taking so long. With the ridiculous wait aside, the sandwiches were pretty good. The bread was fresh and delicious and the meats on the cortina was great. I had higher expectations for the pastrami, it was good but nothing special. Disclaimer: would have been a 5 star review for quality of food, but the prices are kind of insane for a sandwich!!! Bought a Philly Cheesesteak here. A little bit different of a take on it, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but hot damn was it really good quality food! So much so that I almost didn't mind that it didn't fit what I had in mind for a cheesesteak. I've only gotten to go orders twice from Cortina's, and both times my food was excellent! I got the chicken antipasto salad with extra pepperoncini's. The chicken is so flavorful, the salad is huge, has amazing toppings- mozzarella, olives, an artichoke heart, and a marinated mushroom. Granted those last 2 are my favorites and I'd love to have a few more on the salad! Their Italian and ranch dressings are both great as well. You sure get a lot for your money with these salads. I think in total, I paid $9.95. The only downfall to Cortina's is the parking lot. Super hard to navigate in one way- parking spaces are snug, and if you end up coming the other way, don't park on the other side or you may end up doing an 75 point turn to try and get your car out. But overall, great food and I definitely need to try other items. read more

This place is such a hidden gem in Orange County! I lived in Orange for 3 years before I found it in 2017, and since then, I've been going regularly. It is such a staple in my routine and I talk it up to anyone who will listen. The sandwiches and pasta are amazing; my go-to is the turkey sandwich, which is the best of any around (Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, Togos, nobody compares to Cortina's!). They use Boar's Head deli meat which I love. The meatball sub is also amazing, and I've heard great things about the Rocky Balboa (although I haven't tried it myself, I love my usual order too much!). The only cons in my opinion: they have off-brand fountain soda which isn't my favorite, and also parking can be tough in the 12-1 o'clock hour. Also, sometimes the food takes a long time when it's busy, so I always order ahead. I also really really wish they were open on weekends and past 3 on weekdays since I crave it all of the time. But on the flip side, it's always a special treat when I'm able to go during the week! read more

The salads and sandwiches at Cortina's were delicious. This is good spot to grab some great food to-go. I could tell right away that this place gets really busy. Luckily, the line moved quickly. The staff seemed friendly. I'm glad we ordered food to-go because there wasn't enough tables inside the restaurant. On an especially hot day, we had no desire to sit outside on the patio. I ordered the anti-pasta salad. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The salad was also a huge portion. My son liked his sandwich as well. The turkey and meatball sandwhichs are our favorites. The pasta salad is the bomb and the dinner salads are delicious. The pricing is very reasonable and the portions are huge, enough for two meals. The food is always consistent. The girls that work at the cash register are very friendly and happy to answer any questions. The whole team works fast to get you and out for lunch. I came here to grab lunch with a buddy who had come here before and absolutely loved it. He recommended the meatball sub. I ordered the full size portion, but you can also get 6 inches as well. The bread was beautifully toasted and the sauce and meat was super flavorful. Pricing was fair too for homemade goodness. They also had an amazing soda fountain full of various homemade types of sodas. They even had some bottled beverages as well. Their menu is pretty expansive so I plan to make many more trips to try it all out. I was looking forward to grabbing a cannoli too, but they had already run out for the day unfortunately.
