This place doesn't need the shoutouts or advertisement - both locations are great, and do well without but I'm still going to leave a review because for 10+ yrs, we have been enjoying their food/sandwiches! I have to start with their cannolis: one of the best I've had! Crunchy, enough filling. I like both but my favorite is the chocolate one. You guys know how big and depending on what you get, how filled the sandwiches are! It doesn't matter which one you get, they are just the best!!! Even after their bread changed (about 6 yrs ago or so). Their salads are big! Their lasagna and spaghetti are okay/good - I guess I just prefer their sandwiches. The service can vary, it is a fast pace place, you walk in, order, pay and wait for your food! You will get a hi and most of the time, that's it...like I said, it's a very busy place! As far as the ambiance, music playing, outside seating, inside too but it's always packed, for the little hours they are open, always busy, busy! You now place orders online (vs over the phone like before), and you can even have them delivered through a third party.

Went for a team luncheon. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The sandwich portions were great. The reason for my 3 stars is that I ordered a sandwich with no cheese, due to being allergic to cheese I specifically told them. However, they gave me a sandwich with cheese in it. The server who brought it out said that it was no cheese. They should have been more aware of that. They did remake my sandwich pretty quickly. Other than that, my remade sandwich was great!

My mom found this place through a coworker who is a regular. She brought Cortina sandwiches for a department lunch one day and that's how the good news spread. Cortina's has become my favorite sandwich shop. My mom usually drops by there once a week to pick up lunch for the family. My step dad loves the roast beef dip, my brother go to is the philly cheesesteak and my mom's favorite is the Cortina Special. For me I've had the Fireball, pastrami, philly cheesesteak, Rocky Balboa, Meatball, Sausage and peppers, Cortina special all of them delicious but the Philly cheesesteak is my favorite. I have yet tried their pasta. Maybe someday I will. Overall service is good but they do get busy because of their limited business hours. Best bet is to place an order online through their app. Can't wait for my next experience.

I'm not sure when this location opened, but it looks new. Truly great sandwiches and salads here and you can purchase deli meat for your home cooking needs also.

I'm surprised I've never seen this place before, but it is in an industrial area. They are only open weekdays for lunch. I ordered the Cortina's special sandwich which is basically an Italian. I also had spaghetti and meatballs. I was surprised with the sandwich. Most places skimp and give you mostly bread. The sandwichis here are loaded and very good. The spaghetti and meatballs was also very good. The meatballs were moist. Some places they are dry. You also get garlic bread. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Sodas are from Stubborn, meats and cheeses are Boarshead. I feel you get your money's worth here. To bad they aren't open evenings and weekends.

10 inch 10" Rocky Balboa Sandwich soooooo good

Just like the Anaheim location (which I love), this place has amazing food and great service. Today he had a friend ordered the 10" Rocky Balboa and the cheesesteak sandwiches (We both take a half of each so we have some variety). As always, the Rocky Balboa is the champion (pun intended), you just can't beat the flavor. The cheesesteak was also excellent. Not only are the sandwich ingredients amazing, but the bread is just to die for. So good! I wore my Smiths band shirt today. Imagine while we're eating three Smith songs came on in the restaurant. Nice touch! This is one of my favorite places to eat in the OC and I highly recommend it.

Ambiance: only open til 3 so perfect lunch spot with an outdoor patio (mix of high tops and regular tables) Service: quick and easy after you order, they give you a number and they'll bring it out to you Food: delicious. We got the rocky balboa (pork and broccoli rabe) and meatball sandwich. The rocky balboa comes with Au jus and the bread soaked it up so well, still crunchy and juicy inside

10" Rocky Balboa Sandwich with Au jus

I've been coming here for over a decade so why the eff am i barely doing this long over due review, because I just love to eat and writing a review takes too damn long and too much effort. Honestly I've tried their Philly cheese, meatball sub, roast beef dip, sausage, I think all their hot sandwiches but hands down my favorite is the Rocky Balboa! For over a decade I've been eating the rocky balboa and dipping it in the au jus and it hasn't changed one bit. It's still a 5/5 amazing and hits the spot. Their bread is just outta this world perfect: fresh, crisp, chewy perfect for a a hot sandwhich that's gonna be dunked in au jus cuz this bread doesn't sog up and flop. The pork is succulent, the broccoli rab is perfectly cooked still holds a crisp and not soggy at all, the provolone adds a nice ooweegooeiness. They got some garlic and red pepper flakes to kick up the flavor. And all that happens from the first bite to the last bite. Au Jus doesn't have to be there cuz it's already juicy but if you want some extra juiciness don't stop dipping, the jus is amazing! New York has Katz and Los Angeles has Philippe's/Langers/etc and representing Orange county is Cortina's solid 4.5 but I'm rounding up cuz they are consistent with flavor, quality, and serving size.

Caprese Salad, 6" Caprese Sandwich and 6" Cortina's Special Sandwich! ‍

I absolutely love Cortina's! They have one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My favorite sandwich is the Cortina's special. They provide great and friendly service. There is plenty of seating at this location and it's always clean. I tried their salad caprese which was very fresh but I personally prefer their caprese sandwich which is also top notch. I recommend popping in whenever you get a chance.

10" Cortina's Special Sandwich & The 10" Russo Special Sandwich

Haven't been here in years just due to my schedule and their hours, but finally had the chance to come back last week and now I'm sad again because it'll be a while before I can come back!! This place is seriously just top tier sandwiches. It's only gotten better over the years and worth the price. Inside is pretty tight and cozy and there are tables outside. We got there around 2ish so we came after the lunch rush thankfully as this place gets packed. I ordered the Cortina's Special which was phenomenal and my husband ordered the Russo which I actually preferred and will probably order next time! Both were filled with toppings and the flavors are just to die for. Don't sleep on stopping by if you're in the area!

Italian sandwiches close to work?? Dangerous. Lol but just tried Cortina's for the first time after a coworker said he's been going there since high school. Now these weren't the same kind sandwiches I had in Italy (I'd say the main difference was the bread - they use more baguette style loaves), but they were so good. I tried the caprese and Rocky Balboa - these 10 inch sandwiches are huge, only half is plenty for me for lunch. The caprese was amazing, the pesto mayo is really what sold me. The Rocky was good as well, never heard of broccolini in a sandwich! The pork was a little fatty for me so it was a heavier sandwich to eat for lunch but to each their own. My only complaint is the price - we ordered on Yelp and each sandwich came out to about $20 after tax and tip which is kinda absurd to me. Regardless, Cortina's definitely knows how to make a good sandwich and the work crew will be getting lunch from here in the near future. We were all very satisfied with our meal. If you choose to eat there, there's a few tables inside but also a decent sized outdoor area!

Pizza was the worst I've ever had. Crust was burnt, barely any sauce and skimpy on the cheese. I wouldn't recommend.

The food was excellent, I ordered the Baja chicken wrap- full of flavor and packed with protein. My husband ordered the Cobb salad which he said was good too. Generous amounts of chicken and very nice presentation. The place is super cute, it has a bar with beer, it also has a very nice patio area. Outside is very dog friendly, they even brought out a couple of water bowls for the dogs. Definitely recommend the place, staff was very prompt and courteous. Thanks Yelp for a great find!

Placed my order online, was able to change the pick up time to a little later so we could account for drive time, which was awesome. I have seriously picky kids in our family. They will not eat anything that isn't meat and bread, so when I placed the order online I put in the notes, just meat and bread please. I was extremely pleased that all of our sandwiches were made correctly to specification and they even included a great amount of secret sauce. I was so happy that all the kids were able to eat their sandwiches at the park, and all of the party go-ers were happy with their order. It's such a simple thing, but when you pick up a to-go order you're never really sure if everything is there, the order is correct, etc. but with Board & Brew it's safe to say they get it right. I am appreciative to your staff who worked on Monday February 9th around 11:15 AM. They were awesome, quick and friendly! Please give them my praise! I appreciate them!

It was a late night, so we didn't want to eat too much. We asked to split the lasagna, and it ended up being the perfect portion for two. The lasagna itself was meaty, rich, and really satisfying. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread. It wasn't as crunchy as we had hoped at first, but the staff was more than happy to remake it for us, which we really appreciated. It definitely tasted better after. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with good food and attentive service. We'll definitely be back.

Yoooooooooooooooo! This spot is modestly fire I probably order takeout from here like once or…read moretwice a month whenever I'm craving that old school Italian comfort food type vibe. I'm not gonna lie though... it is kinda pricey for pasta but the recipes really remind me of grandma cooking -- super traditional, hearty, old-school Italian style. Nothing wrong with that at all, it's just personally I'm more of a pink sauce, creamy vodka sauce kinda guy these days Usually my go-to order is the Chef's Special rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms in that porcini sauce That dish never really misses for me. I also ALWAYS gotta get the breaded lamb chops with the peppercorn sauce because those are honestly one of the best things on the menu in my opinion. Crispy outside, juicy inside, sauce goes crazy This time though I decided to switch it up and tried the Linguine Sarno. It was good overall, seafood was solid, pasta cooked right, but I honestly wish it had more spice to it I kept waiting for a little kick that never fully came. Still decent though if you like lighter seafood pasta flavors. Also quick warning about the calamari because I learned the hard way last time make sure you finish it the SAME day. Once it sits overnight it turns super hard and chewy. Even tossing it in the air fryer the next day couldn't save it lol. One thing I will say is the service can be a little slower than expected sometimes. I usually call my order in like an hour ahead before getting off work, and this time when I got there it still wasn't ready yet But to be fair, the staff has always been really friendly, professional, and respectful every time I come through, so it kinda balances out. Ambiance is pretty much your standard quiet Italian restaurant vibes Nothing super modern or trendy, no loud music, just calm, chill, old-school dinner atmosphere where everybody's just there to eat good pasta and mind their business Overall still a solid comfort food spot when you're in the mood for classic Italian flavors
