What an unfortunate experience. I read that one review where someone mentioned waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich which surprised them but I had hoped that was a one off. Nevertheless, I called my order in expecting for the worse. 11:15 I called my order in. A simple 10" Italian cold-cut aka cortina special. She says 20 minutes on the phone. I show up 20 minutes later, it's not ready. I wait until 45 minutes I ask again hey where's my order it's been 45 minutes for a cold cut? Suddenly minutes later, it appears. Guys... 47 minutes on the dot for a freaking cold cut non toasted nothing special about it sandwich. To make matters worse, it was basic. It didn't stand out as anything special. It was a heavy, relatively bland, Italian sandwich. I definitely wouldn't come back, nor can I recommend it. If the price was dropped $2-3 dollars and the wait wasn't insane, I'd say sure it's mediocre. If you're looking for a solid place to get a sandwich and wait no more than a few minutes, there is no exception to The Bronx. I love a deli sandwich now and then and as hungry as I was this still let me down. To be fair as possible I've only ever gone to the Anaheim location before and all the food has been great. One of my favorite sandwich shops for deli sandwiches. Got a 6 inch pastrami sandwich and it was chocked full of pastrami meat and cheese along with toasted wheat bread. The cheese was melted well and mixed with the pastrami meat, which was tender and flavorful. The wheat bread was slightly dry, but it didn't take away from the sandwich. I was pretty hungry and my friend suggested we go get sandwiches from Cortina and it was the right choice. The inside of the restaurant has a few tables with a lot more seating outside. It is pretty packed even on weekdays. The cashier was very friendly and the place was pretty clean. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with spicy hot giardiniera mix. It wasn't nearly as hot as the name implied. It was packed with a lot of meat and a ton of cheese. The bread was fluffy inside and toasted nicely on the outside. The sandwich was delicious, but the price seems a little too steep. Overall, I will likely return and try something else a bit cheaper. read more

Fire fighters, police officers, emt's, park workers, construction workers, office workers, I think I saw nearly every field of work while waiting. The girl taking my order seemed to be a bit tired... Ordered a meatball sub, prosciutto sandwich, sides, and some meatballs. The bread here is a bit chewy and tough for my liking but there is a lot of flavor. The sandwiches were both good with a lot of flavor and with an ample amount of filling. My favorite part of the meal was the meatball as they were pippin hot and packed with flavor. Did make me a little drowsy... Overall a good option for lunch but definitely call or order online because you'll have to wait quite a bit! read more

Don't bother coming here if you actually want what you ordered.... Picked up lunch today, took it home and discovered only one of my two sandwiches was correct. Bag was properly labeled so I didn't actually open both sandwiches to verify that they were correct. Hope whoever got my Fireball with extra peppers enjoyed it more than whatever this disappointment was. The meatballs were soft, delicious cradled in this delicious sauce which was clearly homemade and crafted from some other heavenly place on earth outside of the Orange County industrial site that this little slice of heaven sits on. I ordered the six inch and could barely finish it. The bread is a stand out crunchy exterior, chewy interior, holds all the contents without getting soggy. I loved it. I ordered a six inch Italian sub to go, it was loaded with every type of Italian cold cut, fresh veggies, delish dressing. Just perfect. Cute restaurant! The interior gives me cabin vibes! Workers were very nice and friendly. We were looking for a sandwich place nearby and decided to come by here for their prosciutto sandwich. My boyfriend got the Cortina's Special which has a variety of cold cut meats. Prosciutto de parma - I don't like tomato or basil so it wasn't the full experience for me after I took them out, but overall a solid sandwich. My boyfriend ate the other half with everything in it and he said he loved it. My favorite part is the really soft and fresh mozzarella though! I've been to this location about a handful of times. I've tried their meatball sandwiches, roast beef and French dip. The meatball sandwich is by far their best option. The roast beef was beyond boring and dull and their French dip was barely average.
