I had several problems with Corte Madera Mini Storage - enough so that I recently packed up my stuff and moved it out. First, they raised their prices several times since I had been there and I could not get them to charge me for their insurance even though I had sent them proof of my own insurance. Additionally, the facility is unstaffed, and apparently owned by people at a different facility. The phone number listed by StoragePro is never staffed and they don't pick up and respond to messages. If you want to speak with someone, you need to call their other facility which is not clear from the Storage Pro website or even on their voicemail message. It was difficult to get conformation that they had received my written notice that I planned to vacate. Before picking a storage facility, I will now make sure it actually has an office that is staffed. read more

Good location and price, but much of the info posted online and at the site is inaccurate: no elevator, and access hours are more limited than what is posted. No on-site staff. VERY nice office manager who was very helpful over the phone. Minus stars for inaccurate info and lack of elevator. read more

This place is horrible. I rented a storage unit and immediately canceled the moment that I saw it. It had a very bad odor and it looked like there was mold on the wall and the floor was caving in. This facility needs to be completely demolished and rebuilt. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I went through. Please make sure you see the unit before you reserve a space or you will definitely regret it. read more

Wow, it gets even worse. Rent raised again. In less than 24 months they've increased the rent by ~$200 / mo. Again, there was no introductory or move in rate. My advice is to avoid at all costs. read more

Tried repeatedly for a few weeks (at least 4-5 calls and they never answer their phone. Fine, but the issue is they NEVER return messages. Both my wife and I left messages. This is so rude, and clearly they do not care. So we went to the actual facility to see if someone was there - there was not. The funny part was they door sign said "if there is an issue with access, call" the SAME number which they never answer. SO if you did have an issue you will never get a response! This company is a scam!!! I booked a storage unit online but was never able to move stuff in because I was unable to get in touch with someone for the code after repeated voicemails and emails. There is no one onsite. Given my inability to connect with someone in Corte Madera, I spoke with someone at the Mini Storage central corporate about the situation, who scheduled a "move out" and confirmed my account was closed. The woman also confirmed she sent a note to the General Manager for Corte Madera about the situation. Yet I continue to get harassed claiming I owe for my unit, with claims that I haven't moved out. I have never interacted with a more dysfunctional company in my life. It is truly laughable. Look elsewhere for storage! Don't give them a cent. read more

I've been a customer here for over a year and had only great experiences with the manager, Eva. She is super-friendly and very responsive. Julia is a total sweetheart. I needed to find storage quickly and on a budget after a death in the family. She found just the right sized unit and the price was very reasonable. Unlike reviews I've read about other local storage facilities, I haven't had any rate changes/increases in over a year. They have two sites right off of the freeway-easy access. Easy parking. Good lighting. Reasonable hours. The fact that she knew many of the tenants proves that they have long term customers because of good value and great customer service. read more

The storage facilities are straightforward, but they are clean, well-maintained, and less expensive than most others in the area by far.
