Went on the Hoboken cruise on 5/26/22. It was an amazing experience! The staff was really nice. The food was good. The views were absolutely breathtaking! The boat stops near the Statue of Liberty so you can take some close up pictures! The DJ was also great! He played a wide variety of songs. Everyone was dancing towards the end. In a nutshell... Get there early to choose good seats. It's a buffet, and the food is just OK. Your basics like salad, chicken, beef, fish and carbs. The servers are oblivious. If you want a drink you have to go up to the bar and ask. Servers are not attentive. Manager was nice and accommodating. Crowd is very mixed. We felt overdressed. There were people with dirty sneakers and hoodies on. We had fun dancing even though not many people were dancing. Views of the city were great! Dj was Ok, but we made it fun anyway by dancing and being silly by ourselves. Yes, it's a bit overpriced and we have been on better ones in Ny that cost more. Wouldn't do it again on this cruise line and I don't recommend you do it either. read more

I had an excellent time on this cruise. Unfortunately it was too windy to set sail, but the evening was still great. We couldn't even tell that we hadn't sailed. Our server Ronaldo was the sweetest gentleman checking on us often and being so helpful. The food was delicious! They had warm bread waiting at our table, then we received a salad, pasta, the main course beef short rib cooked excellent, with delicious mashed potatoes, string beans, and fresh salmon. For dessert I had the chocolate cake which I was too full to even finish! The music was amazing, something for everyone. It wasn't crowded at all. We went on the cruise again last night. The food was very good, no complaints, BUT! The drinks! $14.00 bucks for watered down drinks! Mostly ice, and maybe a tiny splash of alcohol! Our waitress kept pushing us to drink - she kept asking if we wanted another - I had 2 Bay Breeze, my husband had 1. When it came to ordering our dessert, she neglected to mention the 3rd choice - Tiramisu, my favorite. When I asked whether this was not being served, she replied, "oh, yes, it is" - then why did you not say so? Perhaps you get to take the unserved dessert home?? For my December 17, 2022 birthday party I had 45 guests purchased tickets. I paid for all my guests to have soda all night. No one received any soda. I would like my refund of 350.00 back in full! I told your waitresses that I was opening a tab for tables 1 through 7. They were charging my guests individual tabs. The waitress that attended to my table did not speak English well. Five people got sick after they ate the cheesecake and my friend Diane Wright is in the hospital as we speak. My niece was also sick from the cheesecake. My guests from table 1 to 4 never received any desserts which were supposed to be included with their ticket. My friend Shannon McNeil waited 30 minutes for the cheesecake that made everyone sick. The customer service was horrible. My friend ended up in the hospital the next day from food poisoning! My brother asked for a second cup of coffee and they told him no! He purchased 5 tickets and could not get a second cup of coffee. This was unacceptable! The waitress removed my friend's cup of coffee before she could finish it and she had to have them pour her another cup. The boat was not ready to board at 6:30pm and my guests were freezing outside.(Unacceptable). read more

I had a fabulous time celebrating my birthday! The cruise was lovely, the team was outstanding, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. If you're considering experiencing this dinner cruise, I highly recommend it. We sailed on a Sunday night in September out of the Hoboken 14th Street pier in the Destiny. We were a group of 19 people, but there were anywhere from couples to large groups, and it was lovely for all. The buffet dinner was excellent, above average compared to other dinner cruises I've done, and there was plenty for second servings. We did the premium open bar option, and the drinks kept coming. There were plenty of servers, and they were all happy to please and went above and beyond to ensure the very last of the stubborn candles on my cake were lit. The music was great; not many people were dancing, but that was the type of crowd we had. The VIEWS are the best views of NYC at night. I've lived here for 30 years and had never seen NYC at night look so beautiful. The ship is not as new, but it's kept well, and the dining room is gorgeous. The only improvement I see as necessary or ideal would be the bathroom. On the dining room floor, there was only one toilet and a single bathroom. It didn't bother anyone, but perhaps I missed another one on a different floor. Arrive early at the pier to get the most spectacular views and photos! Overall, this was a FIVE-start experience for me and my guest, and I'm so happy I celebrated my special birthday here. You should, too! read more

Terrible experience from top to bottom. Food was well below average. The salmon dish is clearly frozen, and had a significant fishy taste as well as being under seasoned (the absolute cardinal sin for frozen fish). Stay away from this dish unless you want a soggy, steamed frozen salmon that probably had more flavor as some kind of crappy caviar. The worst part, and I mean the WORST, was finding out (while my girlfriend was in the bathroom no less) that the restrooms were closed. Two security officers aggressively approached me to literally complain that the bathrooms weren't functioning and that we shouldn't use them - NO SIGN AT ALL. I told them they needed a sign, which preceded them telling me that I needed to leave. You guys are terrible. Shit food, shit service, shit security. Go the way of the dodo. Be gone. The worst cruise around Manhattan imaginable short of sinking. This was a smooth jazz cruise with amazing artists. Even with the great music, if I knew what I do now, I wouldn't have booked it. Whoever was supposed to be running this wasn't running it. The staff was incompetent at best and criminally violent at worst. A staff member took a passenger by the shoulders and violently shoved him. This was because the passenger expressed anger that all of us were feeling and many is us were expressing after four hours of dangerous conditions and the worst service, service and the inability to timely disembark you could think of. The only thing good to say is that many of passengers who were strangers bonded in our dissatisfaction, we had fond memories of the Hornblower smooth jazz night cruise of earlier summers. read more

this was my 4th time and i normally have a good time . this time the staff could of done a better job on 8/10/25 7pm-10pm . the boat left late and the time was not made up for it . no waiter ever attended my table i had to get up from my table multiple times to ask for water . once i finished eating i had to pick up my own plate and find a waiter to take it . my table was never approached by a waiter so i had to goto the bar my self and order drinks . the bartender was more focused having a conversation with his co worker than acknowledging the customers. the drinks were overpriced which i would not have minded if they actually felt like they had any alchol in them . would still recommend to a freind but this experience was very poor this time around. lastly staff should not be eating in front of paying passengers during the event and the tall Dominican guy with the curly fade hair cut walks around like owns the place and seems to forget he is at work read more

The food wasn't that great and considering that for all the money you pay they don't even have to go containers was a mess. The only thing given was a piece of foil for you to wrap your food up in. The DJ only started playing decent music to dance to once the cruise was ready to dock. I feel bad for the worker that got sick for whatever reason because the rest of the staff wasn't really up to par those that were service related. Took the 3 hour dinner cruise out of Hoboken on a Wednesday evening. Food was what you would expect...mediocre buffet (desserts were actually very tasty). The cruise (which is always fun no matter the circumstances because what's not fun about cruising on the water) actually started out on the water after 7:15. And basically it was over at 9:15 because we sat out in the water away from the dock for about 45 minutes before we docked. So basically it's a 2 hour cruise. I stayed outside after dinner and enjoyed the scenery, the water, and the night air. It did start raining, but we were able to stay on the middle deck which is covered but very open. There was a dj and a dance floor and lots of people danced. It's a great venue for a party! I would have enjoyed less party...more cruise. read more

Had the worst New Year in my entire life! My husband and I decided like every year to take a new year cruise so we booked the CORNUCOPIA DESTINY! Which was the only boat on the New Jersey side! the boat is old!!! The aroma of gasoline had me dizzy! It was so strong I felt sick! Very small boat for the amount of tickets they sold! I repeat... They over sold the tickets! No heater!!!! The food was cold! THERE WAS NO MUSIC IN THE BASEMENT "(first floor)" . It was so boring! No attention to the clients what so ever! The captain didn't parked the boat sideways so everyone could see the fireworks, instead only people standing in the front could see them! The list goes on and on! What a nightmare! I feel like requesting my money back! But let me continue.... When we boarded the ship we were send to the cold and super packed upper floor like I previously mentioned no heater! The DJ was okay but again who wants to dance or have dinner standing up while freezing!? So finally went to the first floor were you could hear people thoughts that's how boring it was! They made the second floor vip we were able to pass by and the DJ was a man playing the most boring 1990s hits! By this I mean not a real DJ just someone playing his favorite music. We approached manager whom you could see didn't care about the disorganization, the staff had no guidance! Only one server in the staff that knew how mess up the whole thing was kept apologizing to us. HE KNEW HOW DISAPPOINTED EVERYONE WAS!!!. Christ. Horrible experience. About two minutes after we sat down the waiter came over and asked "What do you want?" Great start. The food was horrendous. Appetizers were frozen shrimp. Salad was wilting lettuce and craft salad dressing. Steak was absolutely flavorless and tasted like the lunches I used to get in public school. Music sucked and nobody danced. Boat windows were filthy, which didn't seem to matter since there was nothing to look at. Never went into NY harbor or even close. Ordered drinks that were horrible also. The manager sitting out doing paperwork was a nice touch as well. All around the staff was lazy, inattentive, stupid sounding and useless. Would have never come to this knowing that it is in NJ if not for my girlfriend's mother (who is incapable of reading reviews apparently) buying us cheap tickets. My husband decided that this would be a great idea for my birthday and boy was he far from right on this one. We checked in for the weekday dinner cruise on June 15th. Check in was no problem. There was a photographer on the dock taking photos, if you'd like. They try and sell you the photos in a frame for $25 a piece while you eat dessert. From there, things went downhill. If I could sum it up in word it would be why? Like why did he ever think this was a good idea. We were seated at table 11. Our waiter Dean had to manage a large section so we rarely saw him. Dean was friendly when we did interact. I originally wanted a margarita. After seeing the drinks from the bar, I changed to an Amaretto sour to be on the safer side. Again, I was wrong. Why? The Amaretto sour was so sour with mix that you did not taste the alcohol. The drink is not served in a rocks glass but a water goblet. I would suggest sticking to wine. My husband ordered a whisky sour and there was tonic water in the whisky sour, again why? Amaretto sours and whisky sours were $12 a piece. Secondly, there is only one Buffett line for the dinner cruise for more than one hundred people consisting of 6 or 7 sternos. Tables are called by number. Unfortunately our table (table 11 and table 10) seemed to be forgotten about, as guests from upstairs higher numbered tables enjoyed the buffet without being called. People were going for seconds and our table wasn't even able to go up for first servings. Before we were even able to eat dinner, the poor waiter was prepping dessert orders. The buffet is minimal with dinner. Dinner rolls cut in 4, Caesar salad, Fruit platter (which was done before our table was able to go), the fish was tilapia, the pasta penne vodka was tolerable, the chicken was sliced and diced in strange cuts unsure of the sauce or flavoring, the beef was cut and drowned in sauce, the green beans and potatoes were okay but cold. I would not recommend. The pasta was a lifesaver. You are better bringing your own food and going on a Seastreak sunset cruise. At least with that cruise you'll see the statute of liberty. Dessert is the options of tiramisu cake, chocolate cake or vanilla cake. It's no longer Costco cake but it's okay for a plain cake. A dj was playing music after dinner. However the atmosphere reminded me of a cringey middle school dance complete with the middle school children. Maybe with a few drinks it would have been tolerable. Again, in case Yelp is not clear, you do not see the statute of liberty of this dinner cruise. You do not even leave beyond the sandy hook bay. For $79 per person, I would never recommend this cruise after the poor food, atmosphere and general aesthetic. The ship has potential but needs an overhaul. You're better off cruising from Bayonne or a city based line if you're looking for a dinner cruise. read more

Wasn't worth the money I spent 550 dollars for dinner for dinner for 2. It was a buffet and to be honest food wasn't that bad but the usual cheap selection. (Bake chicken, some sort of slice beef, some kind of fish, and of course bake ziti and salad) However my biggest complaint is the boat was an hour late with no explanation or any offer of compensation. My partner and I made the best of it and didn't complain. However we decided we never have to do this again. The music was bad as well looking at the other party boats looked so much more lively dancing on their deck. Our music was inside on the lower level and you couldn't hear it outside. This was a great sell on "the experience of dining while on a cruise" but the service, the actual boat itself, the food and overall lack of professionalism by the staff made this a bad experience for my husband and I. This was an attempt to have a nice birthday dinner for my husband and it was terrible. The website paints the picture of watching the sunset from the cruise liner and enjoying a great meal. It really sold the romance for anicer dinner date but did not deliver. The vessel is in desperate need of renovations! The entire establishment appears and smells like it stuck in the 70s!! The LOUD noises coming from the engine room, made everyone weary AND we departed LATE, so no nice sunset! The website stressed the importance of arriving on time because you will get left behind, well, that was untrue. We did not load the vessal until 6:55pm (No exaggeration!!) I even understand since it's January the sun sets earlier BUT they were still behind on time because guest arriving early to make the departure time, had to sit in another older vessel and WE watched the staff load the Cornucopia vessel!!! Once on the vessel we did not move AWAY from the pOrt until 7:20pm. (Pitch black outside on the water) Since the website stated a 7-10pm (3hr) cruise I figured we would at least cruise to see the stAtue of liberty, NOPE , just dirty bay water (I'm from Jersey, so I know about thr water) and DARKNESS. Food taste like conference style food I use to get wHen traveling for work. No seasoning or real care in the presentation. I'm giving one star because our waitress deserved the Star!! I cannot recall her name but she was nice and tried her best to make the table feel good considering how bad every thing else was going. The music/djing was okay. It sound like a playlist was being played except for the occasional request of Afrobeats music which livened up the atmosphere at the end. My wife and I went with another couple on Sunday. Positives - The food is good. We had salmon and a braised pot roast, both of which were good. Our waitress was very attentive and the service was good. The boat itself was comfortable for the most part. However it was a humid night so I wish that the A/C was a bit cooler. Negatives Dessert was sub-par mainly because the cake that we ordered wasn't cold and was at room temp. This concerned me a bit due to bacteria that could get you sick if the food wasn't properly refrigerated. The music was VERY loud. It was so loud that you had to shout in order to have a conversation. The DJ was awful. The music and songs were mainly Spanish club music which is fine if it was a Spanish themed cruise. However the DJ played almost no songs that we had ever heard of. They should add on their website a disclaimer about this. Overall it was an ok night out but I'm not going to pay over $100 a ticket in the future. read more

This is our first time here. We booked about a month in advance and we went on a Saturday. When it was time to board, the seating arrangement was unorganized and the hostess didn't know where we were going to sit. Our table wasn't numbered like others, which I guess that was part of the confusion. Once we got seated, our waiter took our beverage order. It took a while to get it and our waiter had to come back and ask what we wanted again. When we received our drinks, it was time to eat. It was buffet style. There was salad, pasta, beef, chicken, fish and a carving station. After eating we went out on the deck to look at the view. Once we were inside it appeared that we missed desert. Our waiter could not be found. So I went to the back and asked another waiter if there was any desert left and he said no. Then I went downstairs to the lower level and asked a waitress the same question. She said she can get us desert and asked for our table number. She was very friendly and attentive unlike our waiter. When I finally saw our waiter, I told him that I asked a waitress to get us desert since he was no where around and if he can follow up. We received our desert within minutes. We had cheesecake and chocolate cake. The food was ok nothing to brag about. The service could have been better. I'm not sure if I'll book again. read more

We were a captive audience for my nephew's marching band trip. The school had reserved the ship for a Thanksgiving dinner cruise for the band and families visiting NYC for the parade. We had already Lord our expectations but we had no idea how low it would truly go. We were charged $125 per person for the cruise and dinner, I can't even tell you a price that I would be willing to pay based on the experience. When we were finally allowed to board the ship after standing outside on the dock in the cold our tables were already set with the salad course which had been sitting wilting and getting warm while we were freezing outside. We were tall to be on board by 7:30 because the ship would leave by 8 p.m. Around 8:30 and even until 9 we had not left the dock. Again I will tell you that we had very little hope as far as the dinner portion of the cruise, but it was really bad. Flavorless lukewarm buffet style Thanksgiving dinner. My mother-in-law was convinced that the carrots were actually from Central Park for the horses. They somehow manage to be cooked yet hard at the same time. They seemed to run out of everything. All of that aside, the ship was in a serious state of disrepair and needed to be dry docked for at least 6 months to be renovated and maintained. The wall around the window where we were seated was peeling and chunks were actively falling out as we were dining. The restrooms hadn't been updated in a few decades, pink tile hasn't been popular in a while. The only redeeming part of the cruise was the opportunity to see and take pictures of the Statue of Liberty from the water at night. read more
