Wow !!! Much needed; I work in the area and am at a crossroads when it comes to deciding what to have for lunch each day. Usually I end making a drive down to Montrose or Glendale for a decent lunch but am very fortunate to have come across this gem!! Not only is it close, but the food was great, restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was chill. I had the KBBQ French Fries to start which were addicting, well prepared and with some of the chili sauce they have these are a necessity! The Teriyaki Combo plate was my choice for lunch and it was truly delicious; the chicken was almost all white meat and the beef was lean. All this on top of a bed of rice with a side of salad and fruit... can you really ask for more? Stumbled upon this restaurant when looking for a place to have lunch with my mom. Walked in and the menu was written on board on top and in the back of the cashier. We both got the chicken teriyaki bowls and they were really tasty. It took a bit to receive our orders but that's because everything is cooked as soon as you order I'm assuming. I also got a side of fries and those were yummy as well. The portions are good for the price, I got the two teriyaki bowls a side of fries and a sprite and it was under $20. I left with a food coma and definitely wanting to come again to try their other dishes. The only down side was the A.C wasn't on so I was having a hot flash the entire time I was eating. Really delicious food to begin with. The restaurant has a very rustic modern feel to it. The environment is very calm as well. You have plenty of options to choose from, I went with the avocado bacon burger. I especially love how they aren't stingy with the amount of avocado and bacon they use...they really used the main ingredients which is what I look for in an avocado bacon burger. Horrible customer service. Will not return. The manager needs training on how to deal with a customer when an order has been given incorrectly to a customer. Our orders have been incorrect more than once, we always end up just dealing with it quietly. Tonight I finally had to say something. The front service people argued over a simple substitution (one were willing to pay more for) when they finally relented they then failed to inform us the bread was different from the one listed on the menu! I wouldn't have ordered that sandwich if they explained the bread was different than on the menu. I found out the bread was different when I got home. So tonight, as I said before, I finally called. When I reached the manager instead of apologizing immediately and offering to find a solution, she immediately went into defense mode. She said things like "Well our customers [we ARE their regular customers] prefer this bread over the bread on the menu [well this customer does not] , and it is too difficult to substitute egg for turkey" (again we were ready and willing to pay more for the inconvenience.) Honestly McDonald's is easier to make substitutes than this place. I have no problem with mistakes, it's how you handle them that makes all the difference. I have never written a bad review on Yelp up and until today. I have no interest in patronizing this restaurant that we regularly go to. I guess they do enough business with out us. Still one of my favorite places in town! My go to now is the spicey kbbq plate. It's enough food for two/three meals for me! It's the perfect amount of spice. The salad is really bomb too. Their smokehouse sandwich is also very very delicious and so is their yakisoba it has a very unique delicious taste it's almost like you can taste the grill so good! This is my new go-to spot. I've been searching for good quick food in Tujunga and I finally found it. So far I've tried the Korean BBQ French Fries and the Santa Fe BBQ Chicken Salad. Both were amazing and fresh. The fries were exactly how I like them, they were thicker cut and fries crispy so they weren't soggy. The toppings are great and I since I took it to-go I was worried it would get soggy. Nope they were perfect. The salad was fresh and delicious with corn, beans, and really delicious chicken. If there were ever a reason to make a stop in Tujunga, this place would be that reason. It's such a deviation from all the other food around town, and it's also extremely well prepared and amazingly delicious. Apparently all the food is made from scratch -- and I mean all of it. From the sandwiches, yakisoba, Korean BBQ cheese fries (which are extremely wonderful and I highly suggest everyone adds that to their order), all the way down to the sauces; the unique and tender care that's put into their meals shows. The staffing is very kind, and the interior design definitely compliments the whole place. It's got a feel that you know you're at a restaurant, but yet still feels homey enough that you just ease right into the place. I really hope this place does well, and they deserve to because the quality of the food feels like I'm at an upscale Korean BBQ in Ktown. I came here while waiting for my family to finish shopping elsewhere. I ordered the fries with Korean beef and cheese. Initially I really wasn't expecting much, just a quick indulgence of an unhealthy meal while waiting. When I received my food I really questioned how I had never heard of this place before. The meat was amazing, there was heaps of cheese and sauces, and the fries were crispy on the outside but so soft on the inside. The food here is amazing. Everything we've tried has been well-prepared, well worth the money, and perfectly balanced flavors. The Korean bbq sandwich is a particular favorite, as is the chicken cashew salad sandwich. The ambiance strives for a little classier than it achieves, in truth, but it's not unpleasant, other than the staff being so busy the tables and floors don't seem to be cleaned often. They are friendly, but harried. The only true drawback is the wait times. Expect to wait a LONG time. We've never been here and waited less than 25 minutes for food and sometimes it is far, far longer. (Last night over an hour.) I mean, there's obviously a reason- the great fusion food- but it is not the place to go if you're in a time crunch. Don't come on your lunch break if you are expected back at work for sure! Also, the menu states sandwiches come with salad and noodles. The salad is delicious with an Asian dressing. But I've never had the noodles, it has always come with fruit instead. They should maybe change the menu? Overall, this is a great, unique place and I hope they make it to stick around because the food is truly delicious. Friendly family-owned little place! My favorites have to be the yaki soba and the bulgogi burger! The yaki soba tastes fresh and delicious. The portions could easily serve 2-3 people honestly. Food is Incredible! Just thst all 5 times I've eaten there, My boyfriend or myself has had a problem with the young cashier girl that answers the phone. EVERYTIME she puts us on hold for over 15-30 min one time. It wasn't even a proper phone hold either she just placed the phone aside so we can hear everything that's going on. If I hang up then I'm not able to get connected until she hangs the phone back up I swear she's ignoring all orders ?! And she's very rude every time she answers the phone or when we come into pick up the food kind you we spend well over $60 every time we come in so I just don't see the need for any kind of disrespect. 8/29/2018- UPDATED REVIEW: So for some time now they're serving size, at least regarding the Korean BBQ fries have noticeably been downsized. They went from the size of the picture I posted to a smaller brown box. They claim it's the same amount, different box. We keep going back because the quality of our favorite dish (Korean bbq fries) is great, but today we ordered it and the brown box was half way filled with the order,,,, same price,,, fries were in low amount, the meat seemed about the same portion but nonetheless the size was completely less than the last few times since they've changed the packing. My husband called the establishment, spoke to the owner (female) and let her know that the order that was placed appx. 25minutes ago was not appropriately portioned. She told my husband that the amount of meat is measured and it's the same amount as in the past, and that yes they have noticeably changed the boxing but it's due to cost of business going up, minimum wage increases etc... she told this to a customer, take that in. So she kept going back and forth with my husband, we felt tricked, paying overprice for an unfair amount of food. My husband told her they should notify all customers about the significant change and not just that, if they are going to lessen the portion, LOWER THE PRICE! She said since the "there was nothing wrong with the food" she couldn't provide an courtesy for us or any type of refund was offered. She also said that compared to other places with Korean bbq, they have the better pricing?!? As an owner, you are to take care of customer complaints that are within reasoning which I believe we are. We have been customers since there opening, we are VERY disappointed with the way they are operating in regards to their portion sizing and pricing. We are locals and will not be returning here. And one last thing, we thought the owner was a man but the person who picked up the phone said she was the owner once we asked for the supervisor. My first go at Korean BBQ and on top of that the combination of cheese fries!!!! My partner introduced me to corner grill and it is now one of our to go favorites. They serve perfectly prepared steak fries that are cooked to order, hot , crispy and golden brown...exquisite in every way, superior fries! My go to for lunch is the Korean BBQ Beef Bowl... When we ordered I asked if they could put an egg on top of my fries and she said they didn't have any but that was a good idea. We thought no more of it and waited for our order. Oh wow, the food here is delicious!! I had Korean bbq burger, cheeseburger and Korean bbq fries. Top notch quality! The owner told me that they make their own teriyaki sauce everyday - boiling many different ingredients for 4-5 hours everyday- not store bought. I'm honestly surprised these people are still in business. My husband and I came here yesterday to see if this restaurant is still open. We have probably called in on at least ten different occasions and called 3+ times during each occasion over the course of Covid and the phone just rings and rings and rings, despite it stating on their Yelp that they are open. So last night we decided to drive by and lo and behold they were open! We entered only to find out that even though their hours say they close at 7:30, they in fact stop serving at 7:00. I asked the owner if they answer their phones anymore and she said yes... that's odd considering in 30+ calls I can NEVER get an answer. Anyway, we were still craving some Yakisoba so we decided to go down tonight before seven. I pulled up at 6:30 on a Saturday to see all the lights off, chairs up, and doors locked. They were closed even though THEY HAVE A SIGN IN THEIR WINDOW STATING THEY ARE OPEN ON SATURDAYS AT THIS TIME!! That's twice now I've driven down there to be completely disappointment on top of already being irritated at the phone issue. Sad because we really liked this place. This review is long overdue but Corner grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Tujunga. My favorite thing to get is the beef yakisoba, it may be a tad pricey for some but it's SO worth it! Every single time I've ordered it, it's been delicious. So fresh and so yummy. I love the balance of fresh veggies to beef. One order of beef yakisoba is so big I have almost 3 meals! I've also tried the Korean bbq burger which was huge and very tasty but if you let it sit too long the bun tends to get a little soggy. (Best to get the burger to eat there rather than take out.) It's a little hard to get through on the phone sometimes to place an order but it's not too bad of a wait if you can't place your order on the phone. read more

It was my first time here, and I can't wait to be back. The business is very clean, they have hand sanitizer stations and the lovely lady at the cash register was super friendly, patient, helpful and I could see her smile even though she was wearing a mask. I ordered the Korean bbq bowl that came with white rice and a delicious, fresh salad dressed perfectly in an Asian vinaigrette dressing that was so good, I almost licked the plate. The meat was tender and oh soooo good. The portion was perfect (on the larger side, but it was so good I ate the whole thing). I can't wait to try other menu items.
