Chicken Cordon blu
Ronald Z.

The place is great but the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the Chicken parmigiana I had was not fresh. Last time I went there I got the same thing. It was perfectly cooked , crispy from the being breaded and fried, juicy from being cooked right. Presentation was great. You can tell it was made fresh to order. This time I had it , you can tell it wasn't made fresh to order. It was soggy and not very juicy. I don't know if it's a new cook or the chef is getting lazy. My friend got the chicken cordon blu, same thing but presentation was ugly. They need to go back to basics and make fresh to order.

Irish Egg Rolls. Reuben in an egg roll. Actually really delicious! 3-17-2017

It's all about the food & simple adult beverages. Both are always consistently good. My girls treated me to drinks & a snack in some girl catching up time. This place is great for that kind of stuff. No one ever rushes you from the table or bar. Great neighborhood spot. 7-15-2017

Had a night out with family. It was a lovely time with lovely food. Very classic American menu with lots to choose from. I was trying to be healthy at the time so I got the salmon burger; it was not the best, but the appetizers were amazing and my family's pasta dishes looked incredible!

I've been hearing about this spot forever. My sis and i havent seen each other in a minute due to the nonstop Wu Flu shit so we finally made a plan to go grab a bite today before King Cuomo closes everything down. We had a wonderful server. She was awesome. We started with baked clams and Kellie had wine i had Diet Coke. I got the burger w ff and brown gravy on side. She got bacon cheeseburger with coleslaw on side. Both were cooked perfectly and delish. I could only eat half cause they give you free salad as well so i will enjoy it later tonight or tomorrow for breakfast. They all wore gloves and masks etc and were super careful with social distancing. We had a lot of laughs and im sure applalled the people sitting behind us with our raunchy stories. Thank for lunch Kellie and we will be back asap.

Chicken Mozzarella Melt

This place has made so many improvements since my initial review from 2012. From the awesome entree's to the wine and beer this is our go to place. The service is friendly and chef/ Owner Rusty makes eating a wonderful experience. The same be said for Owner/bartender extraordinaire Gerry, who makes the experience worthwhile. We are a regular at this eatery and the following pictures are a testament to our devotion.

Complimentary white sangria pitcher

A pitcher of sangria with my meal...not sure if I could even invent a problem with that! We came here on a Saturday night after a long day of moving with some friends, place was crowded but not so much that there was a wait! We were immediately greeted by multiple staff members. We got a complimentary salad for the table...nice change from the usual bread baskets! I ordered the roast beef melt on garlic bread with mozzarella and a side of fries with white sangria as my beverage choice. The others got burgers and beer pitchers. Nobody had a complaint about the food, the portion sizes were huge and the prices were reasonable. Dessert sounded good but we were stuffed! I would definitely come here again tho!!

So this past Sunday we checked the website and the Sunday Family Day specials were still listed. Our family went to celebrate a birthday and planned on ordering off that menu. After being seated I noticed we were missing that menu so I asked our server and was told, they no longer offer that menu. We were all seated and had started ordering drinks by that time so we stayed. My disappointment and frustration is the menu was and still is today as I write this, listed on the website. I believe the menu should have been honored since the restaurant is still advertising it and the same entries are and were still be offered, just at a higher price.

We went early because we were seeing a show. 5:30 pm on a Friday. So restaurant wasn't busy at all yet. What was a little frustrating was that waiter came over three times to get main dinner order. I don't understand the rush. We were eating the appetizer and almost done. No indication that we were in a rush. Yet he felt the need to come over again and interrupt to get the dinner order. As opposed to letting us finish the appetizer, clear table. And then come back. I know it's ingrained to flip tables. But come on. Otherwise. Highly recommend

The drinks were amazing as well -- perfectly made and a great addition to the meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. I reached out via email and was responded to by Claudia, who made everything such a breeze. For the group size I had I was given options for a 3 course meal plus 2 hours of brunch drinks for $55 a person. The children in the party were given their own menu and were charged $25 which, especially these days, was a great deal. They printed special menus and allowed me to bring in some decorations as well which was appreciated. I paid the $25 cake cutting fee and they made it so special by putting in not only the candles and toppers I provided but also a sparkler which was very nice. For food our menu was fried mozzarella, buffalo chicken egg rolls, and donut bites to start plus the amazing bread they brought to the table. For entrees the 4 options were the chopped chicken and feta salad, penne Ala vodka, French toast, and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed everything, especially the salad! The kids got buttered noodles, Mac and cheese, and chicken fingers. All was very good and portions were plentiful. They provided cannolis and then served up the cake. It was great. The bloody Mary, mimosa, and sangria were also very good. Our server was a sweet young girl who worked very hard for us. I can't say enough good things shout out experience this time around!

We had a 630 reservation but 2 of us got there 20 minutes early. The Bar is soo small that you really can't sit there to wait. They actually sat us right away, even though the full party of 5 was not there. That was a plus. The waiter was on point. He came over everytime one of the other guys staggered in to give them a menu and ask what they wanted to drink. I had the grilled octopus and a 8oz filet with lobster truffle mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked , the rest of the food was delicious. All 5 of us had great food. No complaints from one for anything. And yes , the waiter was great again. I'd definitely go back and I would definitely recommend this place, even though my review is not really going to make a difference, since this place has a great reputation already.

Our recent visit was no different. We stopped at the bar for a drink prior to to moving to our table. The bartender was quite good as well as personable. I had a Bacardi and diet Coke and my wife had a lemon drop martini which she said was probably the best she has ever had. A note to future guests: the bar is quite LOUD. The locals that inhabit the bar are quite vocal and boisterous. We have noted this on each occasion. We then moved to our table. The atmosphere is very comfortable and romantic. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable. I had the marinated Skirt Steak. It was awesome! Perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and green beans that accompanied it were fantastic. My wife went with the Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto. She noted the Sea Bass was cooked to perfection: moist and flaky. Very good. She did note that there was a minimal amount of lobster added to the risotto. But overall very enjoyable. We definitely recommend Vittorio's . Next time we are in town I'm sure we'll stop in again.

The seafood has always been super fresh and picture perfect, made to order every time. Jumping in on one of the all you can eat options is worth it, as it truly gives you an option to try familiar and new items that hopefully become a fan favorite. Cocktail and Drink menu is vast and super tasty whether you opt alcoholic beverages or non. Dessert menu is limited, but after eating all you can of the menu I suppose room in the tummy is limited. Could be nice though to have a few more small bite options outside of an ice cream cup. Purchasing a Groupon to discount your final bill is super easy, and easy to hit minimal required total after ordering an adult beverage or two. Opted to celebrate my NYE Birthday here this past year for my first try and came back again recently for Mother's Day Unisex restrooms are kept neat and there is at least (the first) one with a baby changing table. That's right, King Kobra is rocking, but the player that we always seeup at Cooper Bluff & Sunset Tappan Beach is from Blue Roots. These folks are amazing, highly recommended. Really nice people, super friendly bartender that we remembered from our last visit. We thought that the Pig Out would be a really great choice to split, seeing that it has a little bit of everything. It was a real disappointment. Nothing like a stacked BBQ plate of meats that we have experienced, more like a little bit of scraps from each type of meat, the chicken being full of inedible fat, all drenched in sauce so that you could not tell the brisket from the chicken (maybe that was deliberate ?) Our waitress was lovely, but I asked her to tell the chef that I do not care for overcooked food...2 of the 4 ribs were incinerated to a burnt disastrously char, no meat and hidden under the other 2 fabulously prepared ribs. Such a shame, never again...will stick with something simple. Lee & I both had the Sazerac, very good and so fairly priced It's a great place, hard to find live music and good folks, drink all rolled up into one place, but Big Daddy's checks most of the boxes.
