Great atmosphere. Excellent decor. Excellent liquor choices but very limited food menu.

What a great overall experience at the Corner Bar and kitchen. As I walked in, I immediately checked out the bourbon selections and was impressed by the solid lineup (bookers, blantons, stagg, basil Hayden, woodford, angels envy, knob creek and more. We ordered a bourbon sour and a lemon maple bourbon. Both were superbly made with fresh ingredients. We moved on to a really good meal sharing among six of us. Everyone agreed the Honey Sriracha duck wings were our favorite of the night, but we also really enjoyed the antipasti and the hummus plate. The food, the service (thanks Mary you really made our night great!) and the fresh drinks were amazing. We also had a nice view of the water from our table that was a welcomed touch. Give this place a shot if you haven't been there. Some big eaters don't love the Tapas format, but I left really satisfied. If you don't try the duck wings, you'll be missing out!

Saw their new spring menu on social media and I really wanted to try it! We decided to go in if…read morethere was no wait - if not we would go somewhere else... and we got lucky! Seated right away. Good enough atmosphere. It's not Bailiwicks, but good enough... Their bar area is super lively, I like it a lot. We both *don't* love the one and only, unisex bathroom that is always out of hand soap and not always super clean (according to Boyfriend who had to lift the seat.......). They need to keep an eye on that... Waitress was ok. A very loud talker. Food was amazing! I had both their "specials" - the fiddle heads appetizer and the Lamb chops... which were also served with fiddle heads, and a delicious risotto (I didn't realize the lamb was also served with fiddle heads, if I had, I would have tried a different appetizer - but that's my fault because I'm sure she must have mentioned it). Everything was amazing. Lamb was so tender and perfectly flavored. Boyfriend had the hanger steak and duck fat fries and loved it too. Says it's some of the best fries he's had! I'm not much of a dessert person but I like trying stuff at restaurants where I know it will be homemade. I had some whipped cream and butterscotch dessert and it was great - couldn't finish as I was full, but no regrets. We will be back! I love that their menu changes seasonally, it keeps things very interesting.

Food and cocktails are very tasty. Service is pleasant…read more This place can get busy. So, take your time.

Quaint and lovely old Inn located in Littleton NH. Our server was very friendly…read more The menu is a nice selection of foods. Ranging from chicken to steak to lobster. Parking is difficult although maybe there is more parking that I did not see since it was a rainy night. I will update this section when I go back. Service was slow This was just our server. She was busy leaning and doing other chores that we waited a long time to order our food it took her so long to get back to us when it was time for desert that we did not bother The other server on the other hand was very efficient and took fantastic care of his clients. They have a special that is 2 dinners and a bottle of wine for $40.00. The items that you can choose from are marked on the menu. It was a good selection. This special is from 4 to 6 pm you may want to make a reservation as they fill up fast We had Lobster an decided to upgrade to the lazy man Lobster. The Lobster was cooked to perfection. It was a good size portion I would guess between 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lb solid meat. We did not see a wine we wanted from the list but they gave us a choice of either another beverage, salad or desert. My friend chose the salad which was a rather large salad. It was one of the best salads I have seen served. Try thief home made dressing. I opted for the desert which we took with us. I had the Turtle cheesecake. It was not too sweet. A nice size portion and worth going back for more. Even though our service was slow I highly recommend going here. The food is well worth the price. They offer items from $11.95 to $30.00 The owner was quite charming and you can tell that he cares about his clients. The guests that stayed at the Beal House Inn were very happy with their accommodations. We will be back Food. 5 star Service. 3 star. See notes above Atmosphere. 5 stars.

Fantastic Transformation!…read more What a wonderful surprise to learn that the Beal House Inn was under new ownership, better yet, that the menu has been completely revamped and re-priced to better reflect the area. The previous incarnation was nice but VERY expensice and not often living up to the price point. The new Beal House has a diverse locally inspired and sourced menu at some of the most reasonable prices north of Concord. Traditional American fare mixed with well trained culinary techniques in the kitchen result in a diverse range of north country comfort food. I wanted to order multiple things on the menu and had a hard time choosing, which is a very good sign of things to come. We enjoyed classically executed Escargot with a hint of Pernod, the snails were tender, juicy and not a hint of chewiness. I could have eaten another two or three orders of these, and at only $9, I will next time! Crab cakes were the only weakness, they had too much Panko mixed in so the texture was more like seafood stuffing, but the accompanying Old Bay Aioli almost made up for it. Served on baby spinach, this could be fantastic if they change the crab to panko ratio! Beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, as was a "caveman" cut of Prime Rib, both were fork tender and served with caramelized root veggies and garnished with a cut out Maple leaf of beet and carrot. For the very very hungry, they offer a "lion' cut of prime rib that would feed 2 hungry skiers with leftovers for sure. Meat-a-pal-oza! Dessert was also a winner, simple and elegant, puff pastry with divinely light limoncello filling, copious raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream, Ill upload a photo ! Best of all, the new owner offers a "Beal Deal" special that is a screaming bargain. You get 2 entrees AND a bottle of wine for $40 if you order between 4-6, every day! Cant wait to go back and try the Lobster mac and cheese during a snow storm They also have 7 rooms for full and tired diners who don't feel like driving home
