Stratton Plaza is the latter. You enter through a sort of game room area (ping pong, pool tables, etc.) to a large room with a bar, tables and a dance floor. Service is good, quick, and friendly, although you may have to flag down your server from behind the bar. My rule for 'bars that serve food' is to stick to bar food; on one night I violated that rule and ordered a Turkey Dinner. (Shaved deli turkey, cranberry jelly from a can, stuffing from a bag, etc.) Pretty bad, and another example of why I should stick to the rules. The other two nights I had a veggie pizza. This was actually very well done, with a good crust and nice selection of veggies that avoided the 'compost' state of some veggie pizzas. Burgers at the next table also looked good and prices are very reasonable. The beer is fine, with several local beers on tap. Fine place if you remember that it is a bar that serves food.

Some new food recently include the orange cauliflower (incredible), the veal jager schnitzel (the best entree I've had in a long time) and the potato chip haddock (so fun and creative). They also always have dishes that are super consistent and always delicious. The Brussels spouts are some of the best I've ever had, the rack of lamb is always good, the donut is incredible, and the red Thai curry is always super flavorful. The service has always been top notch. Heidi, Anya, and the team are so friendly, kind, and caring. They are great people who bring so much to the restaurant! Couldn't have a better team! The restaurant is cozy, in a former house, and has lots of charm. It's great!

Great place to stop for a drink after a day on Rangeley Lake, you can get there by boat and dock at the Loon Lodge Inn dock. The decor is rustic and warm and there is a wonderful view of Rangeley Lake. Would definitely come back again.

I got a falafel roll, and it was very, very nice. They seemed to read my mind and make about half of it pickled onions. I also tried their kombucha, which was definitely not as good as I was hoping for. Their cornbread, which has maple on top (or something similar, I can't recall) was also not as good as I was expecting it to be. The bathroom is difficult to find and it is bike themed once you get in there. There were not many people at the place and it still took a long time to get the food, but we were not in a hurry so this was totally fine by us and we got to enjoy their lovely seating area outside. I would go back to this place, but if there was anywhere else in this town that looked as good as this place did, I would probably try that first next time. They wraps were, however, fantastic.

Too many times this dish is ruined by heavy breading for the cauliflower or having it be too oily and greasy. This one was lightly roasted and full of flavor served with a side of blue cheese dressing. Because it was happy hour (which is 4 to 630 on Thursday, Friday and Monday), we were able to order a two topping pizza for $17. The mushroom and ham topping was just right everything was cooked perfectly. We have our own Ooni Koda 16 pizza oven, and I make my own dough, so we're pretty particular about pizza. Everything about the pizza is just right though, sauce, toppings, and the bake in the pizza oven in the back. I'm definitely gonna be a regular here just for the pizza. We each got a glass of wine to have with the pizza, and my wife's white wine was pretty good, but my red had probably been open more than one or two days prior and wasn't especially great. I hope that the owners invest in a nitrogen in ear system of some sort - they're not expensive or hard to use.
