Warning: if you have dogs, there is a huge vine of grapes attached to the fence of the outdoor seating area out front. We moved to a dingy side area to avoid the possibility of our dogs eating a grape. There were cobwebs under the table and a man walked around us to spray pesticides on the weeds in the concrete, while we were eating and while our dogs were standing there. The tavern has a bar and regular seating. There are also pool tables and slot machines available if you are into that. The staff were very friendly. We went with their recommendation and got the broasted chicken. It was delicious! It was some of the best fried chicken we have had at a restaurant. The burger was good, but it could not compete with the chicken. The tavern only accepts cash, but they have an ATM outside. Somewhere, I read you had a "view" to the water. As you can see from the picture, it's a view (sort of) to Foster Reservoir. OK. However, the food and service were surprisingly good! I ordered the special of the day, a Chipotle Burger. Cooked perfectly with 1/3 lb local beef patty, bacon, chipotle sauce, lettuce, red onion and accompanied by some very good fries. My wife had the grilled cheese and it was awesome as well. Her only complaint was it had too much bacon. Yes, you heard that right, too much bacon. I also have been trying NA beers and the only brand I have found I like is Deschutes out of Bend. They had a Golden that I hadn't heard of and it was, in true Deschutes fashion, very good. Our server was Becky and she was amazing. She greets the regulars by name, was very helpful and informative, but not too chatty. If we were in this area again, we would definitely go back. Without hesitation. Great find!

It's really kind of the only breakfast restaurant spot in this little town. The service was very friendly. We're not from here and we felt treated like we were friends or regulars. They have a good country music playlist that plays on the speakers on a good level where we could comfortably carry on a conversation at the table. The menu was hard to read due to its format of all capital letters smashed together but it was fine. Prices seemed high for a little town. Coffee seemed a little watered down but it was always filled up when it was getting low. That's all the "bad" there really was. Food came out and I think it justified the costs. They didn't skimp on portion at all. Toast wasn't homemade but they toasted it just right with the perfect amount of butter. The filling on the 3 egg omelette was plenty! Hashbrowns were of abundance. It had a good crisp on the outside and was soft inside. Ham was grilled great and not too dry. Gravy was tasty. No complaints about this place and my stomach is happy.
