A warm and well-cared for ambiance welcomed us after driving over Willamette pass. The food was fresh and spectacular, and excellent service throughout our visit. We ordered appetizers and 5 distinct entrees. The chili oil was very good too. I will stop by for take-out or dining in next time we visit Oakridge.

I was delighted with the warmth and friendliness of the owners, then with the savory lemongrass/shrimp/coconut soup, the best I've ever had with the full-bodied tanginess that separates it from milder, blander versions found elsewhere. Regulars dropped by, ordering their favorite dishes and enjoying the company of obvious friends and neighbor/owners who took the time to visit with us, not rushed, just such a wonderful clean, happy, place that I will be returning to many more times when I want authentic Thai and a pleasant atmosphere!

Amazing food! Had the green curry, nice and spicy and chicken satay. Will be going back. Very kind humble family.

Hours and days they are open?

I do believe that they are only closed on Mondays; 11am 'til 8 pm TU-SU. They are on vacation at the moment due back before the end of April. Tim UPDATE: Their facebook page says that they are NOW OPEN again after returning from their trip....…

Solid Thai spot for Central Oregon. In a small town like La Pine, it's a welcome option and does a…read morerespectable job. Ordered Tom Ka and Pad See Ew. Both were flavorful and satisfying--the Tom Ka had decent coconut and lemongrass notes, and the Pad See Ew was well-cooked with good noodle texture. Portions were fair and service was friendly. We ordered for pick up and eat at home, but the restaurants interior had a nice aesthetic and I almost chose to eat there instead of taking our food home. For anyone in the La Pine area that wants something other than fast food or burgers this is a great option.

As the only Thai restaurant in La Pine, we've really wanted this place to be good. At this point,…read morethough, I feel like we've given it enough chances to write a fair review. We've only ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the atmosphere or dine-in service. Takeout itself has always been smooth, and our orders have generally been ready on time. Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming. I have no doubt the owners know how to make a quality meal, especially given their experience with other restaurants, but there seems to be an ongoing quality-control issue here. The flavors are usually pretty bland and lack the depth I expect from good Thai food. The curry has been extremely thin, the orange chicken was chewy, the portions are small, and the prices feel high for what you're getting. One time I ordered green curry and it was blue. What is happening here? The biggest frustration, though, has been how inconsistent the spice levels are. We regularly order dishes at one star because we're feeding our whole family. Multiple times now, a one-star dish has arrived tasting more like a three- or four-star. I personally love spicy food, so this isn't a complaint that the food is simply too spicy for me. The problem is that when you specifically order mild Pad Thai so your young child can eat it, getting something genuinely hot makes the meal unusable for the person it was ordered for. After this happening repeatedly, it's hard to chalk it up to a one-off mistake. I genuinely want this restaurant to succeed, especially because having a Thai option in La Pine is great. But after giving it quite a few tries, I keep coming away with the same impression: inconsistent food, mediocre flavors, small portions, and prices that don't match the quality or portion size. I kept hoping we were just catching them on an off night, but after enough repeat experiences, I don't think that's the case. With all the positive reviews, what am I missing here?

I ordered the Tom Yum soup with Shrimp medium-spicy. It came out with great flavor, and had a bit more kick than I'm used to (which was fine). Service was good -- they refilled plenty of water for me. It seems to be a family-owned restaurant (they had some younger kinds hanging around, which I always appreciate). The building itself is a bit run-down. And while I'm not really familiar with the area, the neighborhood also seemed to be a bit sketchy. However, it was cozy inside, and the food was good, so I would definitely return.

Yay new Thai food in the hood!…read more Pad Kee Mao - 5 stars!!! Our go to is always Sabai's seafood Pad Kee Mao, but this place serves up an excellent value with the same freshness and delicious flavors. Shrimp were decent and quite a few onions, but otherwise it was perfect! Tom Kha Soup - Loved the scratch made goodness with all the lemongrass, galangal and ginger pieces. It seemed to be lacking some acid, salt and sweetness but maybe it was just an off night. The fried tofu was tasty, even though I usually prefer fresh tofu. 4 stars. The owner was so kind and friendly - you can't help but want to support families like theirs. Sounds like the previous owner had health issues and this family came down from Portland to take over. Can't wait to try the entire menu!!!

The space has a really cool, cozy atmosphere, and the bar area was a nice spot to sit if you're dining solo or just want something casual. Their menu has so many options that deciding what to order might have been the hardest part! I went with the Tom Yum and added extra chicken. It came out piping hot and loaded with chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro, and all of those bright lemongrass and lime flavors you want in Tom Yum. I ordered a 3 out of 5 for spice, and it definitely had some heat! It was spicy enough to notice but didn't overpower all the other flavors. The service was also great. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and incredibly quick. I Between the relaxed atmosphere, fast service, huge menu, and a bowl of Tom Yum that actually brought some spice, this was a really enjoyable stop. I already have several things on the menu I'd like to come back and try!
