This place is amazing. I would give it more stars if I could. The family so kind, warm and welcoming. Their butter chicken and jasmine rice is phenomenal and their naan bread is buttery garlicky and delicious. If you're looking for something sweeter their mango lassi is delicious and made fresh daily, just like everything else on their menu. Also on the sweet side I got to try their rice kheer, served chilled with hints of cardamom and sliced almonds on top. I've always enjoyed Indian cuisine, but the food prepared by this family is made with love, and you can taste it. Worth a drive to Oakridge just to experience their food. On a road trip with my husband and our two dogs through the Pacific Northwest, my husband happened to find Dink's Market. We were making our way from the Klamath area with our final destination that day being northern Oregon when we got hungry for lunch. My husband found Dink's Market on our route and we decided to give it a try. We both absolutely love Indian food, but were completely surprised to see that the spot, quite in the middle of nowhere, had such tremendous reviews. This inconspicuous roadside market serves up some of the most delicious Indian food I have ever had in my life. The husband, and what I am assuming is his wife, were so kind and attentive. We decided to start with an order of traditional samosas. They had the perfect fried, but flaky exterior with seasoned and perfectly spiced interior. The fresh mint sauce that was served with them was some of the best I have ever had. For our meals, we had aloo prantha and another dish that was a wrap that had paneer but I don't remember the name. Both dishes were made fresh to order and had the perfect level of spice. We definitely felt like we were eating Indian comfort food. And again, I would buy that fresh mint sauce by the gallon if I could, that's how delicious it was. To wash things down, I had an absolutely delicious mango lassi. So even though it is off the beaten path, if you are feeling adventurous and anywhere in the area, do yourself a huge favor and check out Dink's market. read more

I should have snapped a pic before we ate, but I was so excited to try this hidden gem's savory dishes that I forgot. We stopped here on the way back from central Oregon based off the positive reviews from others on Yelp. We've driven through Oakridge more than I care to count and have never thought to stop here. We thought it was just a "mini mart" and while yes, it has that feature too, it is so much more. The shahi panner and butter chicken, both with the amazing garlic naan that Dink's makes are.... *kisses fingers MUAH* perfection. I haven't had a ton of experience with Indian food yet but I can say that I will return for this. So much flavor, generous servings and super nice people here. read more

We had fish and chips, a stuffed Indian flat bread and a mango lassi. The fish was excellent (4 pieces of cod), price was good, but the fries were soso. Some fries were really good and some not good at all. It seemed like they put some old fries and newly cooked fries in my order. They only have butter chicken on the weekend, and we were there mid-week, so we ordered the stuffed Indian flat bread. It was stuffed with paneer, but there was very little paneer in it. It came with a mint dipping sauce, which was good and a cucumber yogurt dipping sauce, which was OK. Very little cucumber in the dipping sauce and it definitely needed more flavor. This stuffed flat bread was more like an appetizer but was priced as an entree. We would like to try the butter chicken, if we are there on a weekend. And I would try the fish & chips 1 more time. read more

Deliciously prepared food, perfectly seasoned. My husband had the Butter Chicken with Naan and ate every last bite. I had the garlic naan and two samosas, all delicious! We also enjoyed the hand dipped ice-cream which were a treat! The folks working here are kind and friendly. The atmosphere clean and welcoming. My husband and I were making our way from Eugene to Crater Lake National Park. Due to our late arrival in the afternoon we missed Sweet vine bakery but saw that there was this inconspicuous little market advertising that they were selling all sorts of tasty goodies from mango lassi, to samosas, to fried gizzards. We had to stop by and try. Their Mango lassi is made in-house and delicious. I bet its made with alphonso mangos. Super refreshing. Their gizzards were $3.99, tender, juicy, and perfectly fried. Unfortunately we were stopping by on a thursday weekday and not able to expierience the freshly made curry that is available on Sat-Sunday. The owner of the store and his wife make indian food on the weekend fresh. For dessert we had their hand dipped ice cream bars covered with sliced almonds. They also had no nut ice cream bars for those with allergies. We got the coffee nut chocolate dipped bar and it was delicious! Front register Indian gentleman was really nice. The convenient store has all your typical needs a liquor station would have plus some Indian delicacies. We bought their homemade chocolate/coffee dipped vanilla ice cream with nuts, a mango lassi, and wanted a snack so I had some fried chicken bits. It was amazing. I have read reviews for their butter chicken and naan so yesterday we got a prefer for lunch while camping in the forest. My husband had a neighbor that used to make him curry all the time and he has been to India in the Navy and said her curry was the best he ever had but since trying Dink's butter chicken he said she had met her match. This chicken brought great memories and almost a tear to his eye and the naan is incredible. He liked it so much we went back 20 miles and had two orders for dinner. We are definitely looking forward to trying the other food there and highly recommend stopping at Dink's and trying their authentic Indian food and while you are there make sure to get their homemade ice cream. I highly recommend the coffee and chocolate with nuts. We will be coming back here as often as we can on the weekends for their curry. Everyone was very helpful and amazing. read more

Wow Delicious!!! I stopped in to just get some provisions to drive through the night to get back home and was treated to the daily food specials they had on their menus when I walked in. It was Real/Authentic Indian Food from a real cool guy that operates the store and his wife who makes the food. It's the last stop heading East out of Oakridge and I will be stopping in frequently. I had the garlic Naan & butter chicken combo and we had the basmati rice & butter chicken combo. They were really good both of them. Always hungry when I'm in oakridge. Driving by when I saw the sign "Dinks". Oooo I gotta try this place I thought to my self, as soon as I walked in hand dipped ice cream to the right hot case and tobacco to the left and anything else you could possibly need right in front of you, I'm talking about chips, candy, ammo and medicine. I was greeted with the most enthusiastic friendly service I think I've ever had. Reading their menu I didn't know what to choose! Eventually the gentleman recommended some of their fresh Indian food and BOY HOWDY was that delicious will be making this a go to spot for lunches and dinners from now on. I haven't been to Dinks for many years since i moved out of the area and stopped there while moving back to the area. The food is amazing, great value and made fresh. I stopped by this market on the way to work because I saw that they have breakfast burritos and I was greeted by the clerk who was very friendly and showed me the menu of the different items they had. I got the three meat breakfast burrito, which to me was a very solid burrito. It came already premade, which I was skeptical, but it was actually very hot and tasted fresh. If I was to be overly critical, I would say the potatoes were a little soft and mushy, but even then I was still very satisfied with this burrito. Definitely worth trying. read more

This is a tiny market on the left side of the highway heading toward the mountains out of Oakridge. We stopped to get a snack. The two guys behind the counter were friendly. We ended up buying Indian food there. I couldn't resist samosas, and my companion ordered buttered chicken which he shared with me. Man oh man! Was it ever delicious! Surprisingly, for such a small, out-of-the way place, this is some of the best Indian food I have had. I have even had 8 weeks of lessons in Indian cooking in San Francisco, so I know what I'm talking about. read more
