Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
Trish B.

Corner Bakery is known for having good food and sweet treats! This location was no different from the others except for a team member that stood out that deserves to be highlighted: Inari. Inari welcomed me when I came in, has exceptional customer service and picked treats for me that were freshly made. I got the Maple Pecan Bar and a Oatmeal cookie. Definitely recommend and would return should I ever be in the area.

A really Bad chicken sandwich
Nadim B.

Was so disappointed. After many years of not going we did today and it was sad. My wife ordered the Chicken Sandwich & it was pathetic. Just a few bits of chicken & a really dried out roll. My soup was okay.

Rotten milk stuck

Hope you like your milk, extra chunky!! The milk they have there is ancient and when I asked for different milk, they gave me more that was ~5 days expired. Enjoy!

Pesto sandwich and side salad

Quiet, casual and quaint Panera-like spot in redondo beach. They have quite a few options from soups, salads, sandwiches and pastries. Simple ordering at the register and then meals are brought to your table. Friendly staff, no qualms, but a safe choice if you're looking for a simple lunch.

Chicken pomodori missing tomatoes
Ashley Y.

I do enjoy the food at Corner Bakery, but this is the second time my order had a mistake. My husband ordered the Chicken Pomodori to go for me. I took a bite and felt it was missing something. I opened it up and the tomatoes were missing. Last time I ordered something to go, they gave me the wrong pasta entirely. Please be more careful when preparing orders!

How do you go into a cafe on a Saturday morning at 8:30 am and all of the tables are dirty?! Food was meh. Got 2 wrap and 2 drinks for 25$. Find a better spot for your breakfast!

I love coming here, as the food is consistently great. The brisket is really tasty and they give you a good portion of it. Soup is always hot, not lukewarm which I appreciate. I genuinely think their sullungtang is the best I've had! I was really happy that this time, they had purple rice. The past few times, they only had white rice, so this was such a great change! Not sure why they were out of the purple rice for so long, but glad that it's back! Banchans are great with unlimited refills! Service: the couple that runs this restaurant are welcoming with good customer service. Parking: This place is located in a plaza, so there are a lot of parking spots available right out front which makes it convenient. Overall, if you like Korean food and sullungtang, I would definitely recommend you come here!

We always get the Galbitang and it always hits the spot!! Their banchan compliments really nicely and they also provide complimentary barley tea with your meal. I don't need to add any salt or pepper to the Galbitang since it's already so flavorful and naturally sweet. Comes with the choice of purple or white rice. Have yet to try oth or dishes!

Portion is pretty decent that I still had some to take home. I also like their variety of tempura options as a side because it gives a nice crunch alongside the softness of the udon noodles. Service is welcoming and prompt. Plenty of seating both inside and outside the restaurant. I appreciate how they have the condiments bar on the side with the ginger/sauces along with the water and take out containers/bags. Also, plenty of parking outside. If you're around the area, then I'd highly recommend coming here for lunch!

The noodles are thick, chewy, and clearly made fresh. Broth is clean and dashi-forward. Solid bowl. I also got a spam musubi. It was fine, but the spam-to-rice ratio was not enough in my option. The tempura add-on bar is genuinely a nice touch. Crab meat, cheese, sausage, gyoza, pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, potato croquette, chicken katsu, all ranging from about $1.99 to $4.99 per item. Lots of ways to build out your bowl. Service was fast and friendly, Japanese pop in the background, low-key atmosphere. It's a good spot. Not destination dining, but absolutely worth a stop if you're nearby and want something warm and fresh.

Hidden gem alert in North Torrance If you're a Ramen lover…read moreand haven't tried Yamadaya Ramen yet, you're missing out. This quaint little spot sits in a small strip mall on 182nd Street & Crenshaw right next to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Parking is decent, and the cozy interior gives it that authentic neighborhood ramen shop vibe, although I usually order mine to-go. My wife and I always order the Tonkotsu Ramen. The pork broth is absolutely incredible -- rich, creamy and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of saltiness poured over perfectly cooked noodles. The bowl comes topped with: * Bamboo shoots * Diced green onion * Pork belly * Marinated egg halves * Braised pork * Mushrooms * Dried seaweed If you order takeout, they package the broth separately from the noodles and toppings so the noodles don't get soggy before you get home. The price is reasonable and honestly worth every penny, and the staff is always willing to assist with questions. Pro tip: I add Chef Troy's Crunchy Garlic Chili Oil for an extra level of flavor (purchased at Vons)

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.
