I ordered late after work one day (not realizing they closed in about 40 mins) and they were still quick and put together a great salad. I ordered extra dressing and they gave me 3 total! Seems everything here is extra lemony. Like they just buy lemons wholesale and dump them into everything in their menu. My dad's lemon bundt cake was so lemony he still cannot get that taste out of his mouth. And my tiny cup of chicken orzo soup was lemony tasting as well. I'm surprised that our teas didn't come with a side of lemon. You can love a lemon and I surely do but not to the point that this place apparently does. It's bordering on toxicity level. The price point is absurd as well. And this is coming from a New Yorker. The best thing about this seemingly fancy bakery/cafe spot is that it's extremely spacious and you can chill here a good portion of the day. We came here today for lunch with mediocre expectations for a sandwich and soup lunch after doing some shopping with two kids. What we encountered was rude, smug, and acting annoyed staff that made errors on our order and held up ordering until the line was down the wall. When my wife left due to the ordering fiasco the manager told her she couldn't sit at a table without a number! She was waiting for me!! When we finally were able to order, we realized the kids menu had games to play (see image) so we asked for crayons and they told us they didn't have any - then why even have these kids menus?! I know why... BECAUSE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO HAVE CRAYONS!! Staff looked at us with dead eyes like we were an inconvenience and bickered in the eating area. You can tell this is not a pleasant place to work. FYI: It's also not a pleasant place to have lunch. Regardless, the place was packed so it's quick access midday is an asset. Let me start by saying that went I went here years ago (2012 or so?) I LOVED it ! They had a great menu, great deals! They played everything so nice. It was a real value! Slowly the menu changes they got rid of my sandwich and it started inching closer to Panera with their pre packaged chip options and less creative sandwiches. I loved it because it was NOT Panera. I slowly stopped going. Recently I went for one of their deals on Tuesday's and my meal was good! They had more interesting options - I ordered chicken carbonara and a grilled veggie sandwich. The chicken carbonara wasn't super flavorful, but it was good and the sandwich was as well. The lady taking our order was super sweet and patient with us and then the gentleman who brought out our food was very nice. Now I'm sitting at a booth facing the kitchen. All the staff is working hard until I see a guy come from the kitchen so he obviously works at food prep and he reaches into a bin of cheese and just pulls out a handful and eats it. I'm sure there are gross things happening in many kitchens but to be in front of people and just helping yourself to cheese and tossing it in your mouth . You're being unsanitary. That same guy came out later eating a sandwich behind the counter. If you're on your break it's one thing but another to be shoveling food in your mouth behind the counter while others are working and you're visible to customers. Then the nice man who brought out our food was bringing food out to another guest and scratched his armpits. I was then grossed out. With what seemed to be two managers present I'm not entirely sure why they let such issues as these occur. You don't want to see things like that happening by people handling your food. read more

We've visited this restaurant several times over the years and it's OK. I feel like I had a much better impression when the Corner Bakery was new and they had this unique and fresh spin to their menu. They were pricey, but it didn't matter because of what they offered. These days, the menu has really evolved and my go to sandwich is no longer offered, which stinks because I try to order options that are all veggie/no meat. So I ordered their BBLT and it was REALLY good! They have their own spin on this traditional sandwich and I'm a fan. The bread was fresh and the bacon didn't taste like it had been prepared beforehand and there was plenty of it. It's a must try. There does seem to be some upkeep/image issues going on with this particular restaurant. When you walk in, the front door alone makes it obvious appearances do not matter. Then I stood in line for a solid ten minutes because their registers weren't functioning. They also usually have their special fountain drinks, but those weren't available. Their baked goods were also few and far between, which was depressing. But they do have take out ordering and pleasant outdoor seating. So they have a chance at serving the community and making it through the current economic challenges. We shall see what happens. read more

With free wifi and self-served drink/coffee refills, it's a good place to bring your laptop in and sip and surf, or curl up with a book in the back. The chicken breast panini I had was delicious, but that may have been due to the butter which coated the bread so evenly. Perfect amount - didn't leave my lips greasy like some other places do. Prices are consistent with other Corner Bakeries, which is kinda steep - looking at $9 for a sandwich, pickle spear and side. However, they did forget the pickle for my wife's sandwich (which means, I had to give up my pickle to her. You fellas know the drill). Coffee is avg price at like $2, but the refills make it a good bang for the buck. Staff was friendly. Even the busboy asked if we enjoyed our meal as he was cleaning our plates. I came in to dine as a family, but I can see myself coming here more often for some alone time with a laptop and a cup of their joe. I've been to Corner Bakery several times as it's close to work. My workplace orders catering from there from time to time as well. We had a team lunch and I ordered medium classic combo , some side salads, cheese tray. It was delivered on time. Everything looked great and for the most part was fresh. Unfortunately the mini sandwiches were not fresh. The rolls used were stale. I was crying disappointed as this was a celebratory lunch of all the work the team put in. There are no trendy baristas, just professional, unpretentious, cheerful staff who could've been hired for looks alone, except they actually know what they're doing too. I'm on a no-carb diet so I had to swear off the muffins as big as a baby's head (the banana ones had slices of banana baked into the top!), the cinnamon buns the size of catcher's mitts, or the lemon bars whose perky little sign will grab you by the collar from across the airy-yet-cozy room that will hold a good crowd without feeling crowded. The lunches looked equally oversized and homemade, and everyone was saying "Mmm. Mmm, mmm mmm." I felt deprived, but happy for them. Later I discovered their scrambled-egg selections. Avocado? Bacon? I'll be back. Music is sophisticated, fun, and unobtrusive enough to carry on a conversation without shouting. Bonus girl points: it's next door to a swanky waxing studio and the cosmetics playland called Ulta. This is the perfect date. I think four stars is optimistically fair for this location. My wife and I have visited multiple times and have always enjoyed our food. The atmosphere is nice and the outside seating can be pleasant in the spring or fall. It's a hybrid fast food/service restaurant. You order and fill your own drinks but the food is delivered to your table and when you are finished you can leave your food on the table. Minus one star for price. We usually are close to $20 for the two of us which seems a bit high for a sandwich with chips. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. My wife, daughter and I go here regularly. The manager here Peter is one of the nicest managers we've ever come across and makes each visit great. The staff is courteous, friendly, and they manage to handle our special orders right every time. My mother in law tonight ordered something and didn't like it (NOT Corner's fault at all I might add), they replaced it for her despite the fact that they were under no obligation to do so, and she enjoyed the alternative much more. They offer coupons regularly, but even at full price the food and service makes it worth it. We're regulars here for a reason. If you like Panera Bread, then you'd love Corner Bakery Cafe. If you want something that isn't going to kill your budget but is a nice meal, wander in here and enjoy the food. The pastas are delicious, the salads are fantastic and the soups and sandwiches are delicious. If you're a fan of sweets the baked goods are terrific too. Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee Asked the gentleman at cash counter if the coffee was fresh brewed. I didn't want leftover coffee from an airpot. He said yes, brewed, then hands me a cup I have to go to a beverage counter and choose a coffee blend from a thermos pot. 1st pull, I can feel the cup isn't even warm I try another blend, same thing.
